No, if it's a real restock then there will be plenty, bots won't take all of it. What we're seeing now with bots is that the big box stores are stocking very small numbers of product at a time and bots gobble that up
Let bots buy them all waste the owners money stop buying from 2nd market people until they price them fairly not paying 30 for a booster bundle of paldean
I feel bad for the people that just want to rip products, it’s totally ok to be an investor, but these scalpers and bots are making this hobby expensive. I’m both a collector ands investor and I really enjoy your videos. New subscriber here! Keep up the good work!
Thanks! Still lots of affordable sets for folks to crack. More expensive product implies better chase cards in that set so in my mind it makes it more fun to open (to a point)
I'm aware how odd this comment might sound, but you have a really great voice for youtube - plus you enunciate well too Would love to see a respectable PF & Surging Sparks reprint next year.
Thanks for the kind words! It will be very interesting to see how they handle reprints during another bull market. Lots of sets needing reprints but overprinting HURTS confidence badly. No one really talks about it, but that's an almost impossible line to walk as a company.
@@PokéMarketLab-t7j yeah i'm new to the space and have only heard about how reprinting killed Magic The Gathering for years. Apparently Pokemon haven't seriously overprinted since XY-era & likely learned from their mistakes... at least i hope!
Here is my guess of what sets and when they will be reprinted: February: Surging Sparks March-June: Slow waves of prismatic and 151 Temporal, Paradox, Paldea evolved, S&V base: No reprint, price is stable
I'm still sticking with buying PAL, TWM, 151 and for my own reasons SFA. When you only wanna spend 30-40 bucks not much better than an LGS with too much Shrouded
If you had to choose between two options. Is it better to sell off a few sword and shield product to reinvest into scarlet and violet in greater numbers, or continue to hold the sword and shield?
Good question, tough call. Depends what Sword & Shield you are talking about. If you have some of the better sword and shield boxes I would NOT liquidate those. If we were talking about this 6 months ago I'd say go for it, and that's exactly what I did. I liquidated a bit of my SWSH collection that I'd earned a nice return on to put into VERY cheap SV before it started to run up and it worked out well.
But speculations based on previous events. While he may not be 100% right I think we can all agree that SV will be reprinted, my guess in the next 6 months.
Reprints are almost definitely coming as it makes too much economic sense for the pokemon company. We haven’t seen demand for product this high for a couple of years and a reprint would both allow collectors to buy back in and for investors to re-up in stock. Both of these benefit the pokemon company and there is no way they don’t capitalize on this.
Someone speaking sense in the face of chaos? I appreciate you because even if a lot of these channels know what you are saying, They also know that speaking positively about investing or just pushing the whole “investing” narrative gets them a lot of views. 🙏
Thanks for the kind words. This is music to my ears because this is what I set out to do. Be a less-hype channel putting out sensible conversation about Pokemon Collecting and Investing. I'm ok with less views but I also think there is a market for what I'm putting out there given the response and growth. Comments like this keep me going.
I wouldn't worry too much about reprints i would worry more about how much sealed will exist in the future and the fact that ct scanning sealed product is still a thing
A question. With more and more people keeping the newer sets sealed how much will that affect the future prices ? I’m sure a lot more people are keeping SV era sealed than S&S era.
We really don’t know. For every sealed collector there is someone cracking packs chasing after something. What I do know is that sealed boxes in the wild only go down over time as boxes are lost or cracked.
Reprints never affect value past a few months. I’m all in on surging and twilight masquerade. Name one set that hasn’t doubled/tripled in a few years after release. Even steam siege is worth over double 😂
I wish that were the case but historically reprints have hurt the market if they are large enough. I also believe the type of people in the market matter. Those of us who actually like the product aren’t spooked by reprints. Scalpers and short term investors who don’t care about the product will get spooked.
You should research the sports card sealed market. No way pokemon is expensive even with surging sparks hitting $200. Once our generation is older they will wish they had these prices.
I collected sports cards heavily as a kid and my collection is worth almost nothing now. Players go out of favor and value diminishes greatly. This then requires timing to make a buck and I don’t want to time or mis-time something.
@@PokéMarketLab-t7j Okay, maybe I shouldn't have said "reprint" since I intended to ask specifically about PE, and it hasn't even launched yet. You're saying they will, or could, restock Prismatic Evolutions PC ETBs on release day?
Very curious what will happen with 151. They may have made the choice not to go back and reprint the ETBs or we have a big wave of them coming. It’s odd given they went back and reprinted crown zenith a bunch of times.
problem is the BOTS beat us to restocks and reprint so no matter how much they print will never be enough

The only hope is my LCS gets some surging sparks. Bots and scalpers buy up all inventory at stores both online and irl.
wrong
Get distro

I appreciate how well spoken you are on the market! That was a great listen. New sub!
I appreciate that!
Saw the Discord notification today that 151 PC ETB's were restocked at like 5:30 AM today and was very confused.
what discord server is this in??
I was so mad cause I saw it and they were gone like instantly
@pheene02 maybe the rattle discord think they use bot updates for drops
Here is my guess of what sets and when they will be reprinted:
February: Surging Sparks
March-June: Slow waves of prismatic and 151
Temporal, Paradox, Paldea evolved, S&V base: No reprint, price is stable
Paradox can wait, temporal cannot. Temporal price will be up against PC/MSRP before year's end.
i got a ton of the paldean fates 5 pack tins for $25. i love the set so im buying anytime i can get it for market
Paldean Fates was $39 last week on Walmart. Then it went to $44 until about yesterday. I looked today and it's up to $54.
Solid info, very good video. Subscribed.
Thanks for the sub!
Agreed

I love SF, it's gonna be swept under the rug with the sets around it and its' poor pull rates, but the cards are insanely good
Well said!

Reprint TM! Paradox and Obsidian just occured.
I don't think paldean fates will get a reprint there to busy with 151 prismatic surging rocket etc
speculations....

@ good to know it’s working out for you, brother. I will subscribe. Keep up the good work.
leave it sealed and walk away, dont even think about it

Wait long enough and the boxes become collectible regardless of possible contents inside.
A question. With more and more people keeping the newer sets sealed how much will that affect the future prices ? I’m sure a lot more people are keeping SV era sealed than S&S era.

Glad it was helpful!
Does the Pokemon Center ever reprint Pokemon Center ETBs or just regular ones? Like, can we expect more Prismatic Evolution PC ETBs to go on sale?
I don’t believe so. We do see restocks on release day for a set but that’s been the case for awhile now.
@@PokéMarketLab-t7j Okay, maybe I shouldn't have said "reprint" since I intended to ask specifically about PE, and it hasn't even launched yet. You're saying they will, or could, restock Prismatic Evolutions PC ETBs on release day?
or none of them need a reprint and people need to move into cheaper sets, idk
We are quickly running out of “cheap” sets in scarlet & violet
🤔
I just want 151:(

TM was a garbage set
To each their own!
