I’d say moonstone but we have to remember something the moon stone got chipped of in Cassandra‘s revenge and Varian has a small piece of his hair that’s blue so maybe that one power of the moon stone is connected to him and now it’s his job to reunited with the sun drop because Rapunzel technically did not fulfill her destiny but her powers already gone. It’s just a theory tho 😅

I think he does have PTSD (Be very afraid), and i think thats why Varian didnt use alchemy for a while till episode 8
