Thank you. I kind of dig doing some of the vids more low key with my iPad. No editing, just straight threw. ha. Keep going!
Thanks that was useful. ❤
Thank you. Lots more to come and have fun with the fingerstyle stuff. :)
Awesome thanks!!
No worries. Have fun with this one and just try different chords and voicings. Super fun to see what you can come up with. :)
@@mrelmoresmusiclab Hey you dont have a link to those strings you recommend on amazon do you by chance? Got that prime free shipping lol
Yeah, let me grab that for you D Addario Strings are the best. These are my favorite. amzn.to/3X4wGfn
Heck yeah!
What’s up dude!
@@mrelmoresmusiclab Chillin working and all that good stuff. Still playing and jamming and making music and learning as much as I can. What's up with you man?! You doing alright?
Nice dude, yeah, just grinding on this YT thing. Playing in a 3 piece band, playing in a duet, and Sol and I are going to work on some old Safety Orange stuff. Keep grinding man and good to see you back here. I have really shifted to doing long forms most of the time, and it has really helped the channel grow. Keep going.
Really cool. Sounds great. Gonna try this one.
Awesome. Go for it and have fun. This is the stepping stone to unlocking so many cool styles of playing. Keep going! :)
Hey! Learning is supposed to be unpleasant. This is painless and dare I say it -- fun. Thank you for posting this. Medusozoa!
Awesome, yes, just have fun with practice a little bit every day. Glad I was able to help.
campy fun lesson! Always well done brother mane!
Thanks my friend. Just a chill vibe lesson for sure. Have fun and keep going.
Simple and sounds great, i also wanna play something a bit moody and melancholy with this technique, is that possible? Could you tell me what chords would work for that?
Absolutely. You can use this technique with any chord you wish. I would try these chords and mix an A minor open chord, or try an E minor just to sadden it up a bit. :) Have fun and keep going.
Jellyfish!
Thanks! Would you happen to have any songs that would go with this method? Appreciate it.
That is a great question. I don't have any particular songs, but I will say that this is what leads into playing stuff like Johnny Cash, Fleetwood Mac and more. I wrote a kids song for a tv show years ago that used this style but a bi more advanced. I will see if I can find any good connections and hit you back. Check this out too. Keep going th-cam.com/video/WwSxMbYk-iY/w-d-xo.html
@@mrelmoresmusiclab Right, I've been playing some Johnny cash songs have that boomchia thing going on. As an old beginner, I'm learning Hurt right now. Pretty fun and pretty song. The drum thing is a great idea for strumming that I've never caught before. Learn something everyday. TY
@@daveconner9520 That's awesome. As long as you are having fun and creating you have already won. Keep going and I will keep building this thing out for you. :)
My dad uses a technique called claw hammer he uses his thumb and his fingers I can’t get my fingers to do it,JEllYfish
Yes! I’ve definitely heard of that technique. Keep going jellyfish.
Clawhammer method is a banjo technique and the most important thing to do is use your middle finger to punch the string, and not your index finger.. They will tell you that you can use either one but the middle finger gives a deeper and purer sound imo. Good luck brother if you decide to learn it. I am keeping that on the backburner when I get all my other ducks in order such as chord progressions and timings.
Nice, now I really want to look more into that. I will say that once you start learning how to use your fingers, a whole new world of playing opens up for you. So much to learn. haha
@@mrelmoresmusiclab I like doing it, and there is also players who use that technique on the guitar, even if it is more traditionally a banjo thing. However, I am not practicing it much at the moment just working on some other stuff, getting the basics in order and having more of a foundation. If you can do the claw hammer technique properly, it can allow you to make some funky different sounds, but it does take quite a bit of practice.
@@Rogue_Strummer Very cool. Yes, so much to learn. ha. Keep going
Travis flicking…
lol. That's a good one. There's Travis Picking and now....Travis Flicking. :)
