      Well, that makes me so happy to hear. I did a pole the other day about people being afraid to play music with others. It was shockingly in the majority that everyone was too afraid or fearful to play music with others. I’m almost feel like I’m on a mission to show people that you have to try this because it’s the most amazing thing ever. Kudos to you, and definitely hit me back and let me know how it’s going. I think it would be pretty amazing to have people on this channel network and create some music together. One day at a time, my friend. And yes, man I would love to tour the UK. I was in a band touring in the 90s and they are still together to this day. Ha ha. Definitely going to get a side project and a bunch of original music released soon. @@mrelmoresmusiclab Great stuff - I've said all my life that being in a band is simply one of the things a young (or older) person can do. It's great for building confidence, learning of course and for discipline.....as I recall, an all-important thing to learn is that the sound is all about the mix (guitarists take note!!) I'm lucky in that I have access to a barn which has loads of power so a rehearsal studio is not a problem - I do like the studio that your chum has built though and would consider customising my own basement in time. Ha ha yes! Oasis. It's amazing how family feuds and rifts can be healed with absolutely no sense of irony what-so-ever when a bit of extra cash is needed!! I'm being cynical of course; they were an amazing band of their time and whilst their live performance wasn't up to much, their presence on stage was pretty cool....the tickets will have sold out already of course although the dates haven't yet been announced!

    Just learn to read music. Real notation, not TAB!

    • @mrelmoresmusiclab
      @mrelmoresmusiclab วันที่ผ่านมา

      I think learning to read music is awesome. However, every single time I’ve done a session in the studio. It’s only been required that I read chord charts. unless the Producer artist had a very specific melody sometimes I would request that it be notated. But most of them couldn’t read themselves. Ha ha. So I would say if you’re not going to learn how to read music, you should at least get really amazing at learning how to charts and know multiple voicings for those chords and whatever genre you’re going for. Just my opinion, but it’s always great to hear other thoughts as well.

      If you don't mind, I would love for you to watch this and let me know if any of it makes sense for you, or if there is anything useful in there for you. I think you could totally do it. Thank you! th-cam.com/video/Ke8pyyPO_TI/w-d-xo.html

    This was so helpful, you have an effective teaching style. Two triad lessons and my playing has already expanded. Thank you very much.

      So awesome to hear and thank you. Yeah, just trying to figure out my space on YT. I think giving you things in smaller chunks that you connect in the broader picture is the way to go. Stoked it helped. Keep going and keep connecting the dots. So fun!

    This is great gives me some ideas for acoustic. Like instead of just playing songs using barre chords at full rock out. Could maybe play verses using triads for that thinner sound then during the chorus use barre chords for that bigger fuller sound to add more contrast and dynamics to playing 🎸👍

      Yes, you got exactly what I was trying to convey without me saying it. That is connecting the dots right there. Do exactly what you just said and you are right there. Keep going.

    I always appreciate theory mixed in with real world songs. Without context, not much of it makes sense to most people. Specifically me. Old Beatles songs are great for that purpose. Along with many others.

      You are so right about this. I have this Beatles book and it is like a treasure trove of chord voicings. I swear I turned to the first song and looke at a progression. It was like a F# min to F#mMaj7 to F#m7 to B7. Amazing! That right there could teach you so much about the craft of music. Something along those lines and I was just blown away by it. I'm so glad my mom used to pump Beatle's songs throughout the house. I love songwriting and finding voicings that bring about feelings. That's what drives me any ways. Keep going.

    I prefer Horizontal chord charts! ;-) Thank you for the great lesson!

      Thanks for watching and for the reply. I totally get the part about horizontal charts. If I ever make anything off platform, I would definitely be sure to make both. Keep going one day at a time and hope you come back.😎

    extremely useful information at the 4:00 mark.. I like the triad segment that starts at 13th fret to the 8th, 3rd fret and then two shapes at the fifth fret. Seems very easy to play! Thanks brother!

      Awesome. Kind of just made this one on a whim. But...that's just a couple of real world ways I do it. And yes....check out The Funeral by Band of Horses and you will hear that super cool triad intro. Those things just work and always will work. Have fun with it. :)
