That maister vs shinymark match in losers finals pretty much determined who was gonna win the pre local it’s obvious if maister made it it was likely a 3-0 in the former number one players favor but since he did not Mkleo lost because of shinymarks victory in losers finals. History does repeat itself after all.
@@supermariomaker1734 unless I’m mistaken I don’t think Maister has ever beaten Leo so it’s possible Leo would’ve received his first Win since KingCon if Maister wouldn’t beaten Shinymark
@ShintaSmash Maister sent Leo's Corrin to losers at COLOSSEL 2022 (before Leo 6-0 him in grands with aegis), which ppl meme on and say is the reason Leo doesn't pull out the Corrin anymore 😅

I like these pre-local videos. They feel like the perfect recap for a kind of tournament I’m not usually watching. Also, always appreciate these ambiguous thumbnails that don’t spoil the winner.

the top comment said it perfectly but u are the type of content creator competitive ult needs! someone who creates storylines and overall hype for the game, especially these days in the "boring meta".
pgstats-like analytical/stats vids are great in their own right, but numbers alone don't make for a compelling story. what i really appreciated is that you sprinkle in some history lessons (like leos history w/ smash factor and pikachu) to provide continuity and also show that you have pretty good knowledge of competitive smash (or at least did your research)
and while i did just say your videos serve a different purpose from analytical content, i think they would actually be elevated with a little bit of play-by-play, especially for sets with non-english commentary. as a non-spanish speaker i noticed it was easier to keep my attention on the video thru esam vs leo than shinymark vs leo just because the commentary is ambiguous noise to me. i think adding some of your own commentary would help a lot for the continuity of the video (or maybe i should just learn spanish 😆). doesn't have to be pgstats deep, just some light analysis to understand the game state in some of the moments you decided to show
