    I would love to see him use one of the pitchers from Starbucks. The tip is very wide so the milk tends to pour extra fast and it's very heavy. It is very big and holds more than 24oz or 709ml.

    Well for this basic latte art may be the pitcher is not so important (if you are an experienced barista). I recommend to take a look at Jibbi Little and her latte art to get an impression. This is a whole other latte art world. In that league the pitcher does matter I guess.

    So fun to watch. When you have mastered the skill, you can make most any tool work. For me, it seems that the key is getting the correct amount of micro foam in your milk. Too much foam and you get blobs, too little and it’s hard to get the milk to float correctly. At least I learned that I don’t need a different pitcher-just more practice.

    • @dritanalsela
      @dritanalsela  7 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      Hi mate, thanks!! I see!! 2 Things could be the reason: You are steaming too hot or/and you are taking too much time to pour after steaming. Take care that you end up with nice microfoam! No bubbles and not too hot (not more than 70°C). After steaming always act fast! Keep the milk moving, because if you let it sit for only just a few seconds, your foam separates from your milk, meaning it rises to the Surface and your milk is in the bottom of your jug. When your pour then, only the milk Comes Shooting out from underneath your foam and the foam is stuck inside your jug. So to avoid that, act fast, Keep the milk moving and work with 2 jugs! See how I steam with one jug and pour with another? THAT is the reason ;-) Hope it helps!

    Hi, is the spout shape important? I'm beginner and just bought ikea jug, the spout is not pointy, but more flat. So far I've tried, maybe 20 tries but I didn't get to pour any art. Just circle,no love and when trying to pull through its thick

    • @mrcvry
      @mrcvry 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It takes time an practice. 20 tries is not much. More like 20l before you see the results.

    • @inconspicuous-nobody
      @inconspicuous-nobody 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rosettas are a pain to nail with the Ikea jug. Flowers/hearts/blobby things are the same as with any jug. Blobby things-wider spout, details-more narrow (that's if you're not a pro at this, if you're experienced and epic, then you can probably make latte art from another coffee cup.) I'm mediocre at latte art at best, and so the upgrade from the Ikea jug to a basic AliExpress one resulted in notable improvements. (So did a cup with a rounded base, I was pouring into shallow square bottomed cups for the longest time)
      I'm assuming you've figured it out by now but I just want to put this here for anyone else struggling with that painful Ikea thing.

    Hallo Dritan, ich habe eine Delonghi Dedica Espressomaschine (mit Cappuccino funktion) ich brauche aber noch die richtige Milchaufschäumkanne. Reicht eine 350ml aus für Latte Art? Welche würdest du empfehlen? 😊

    • @dritanalsela
      @dritanalsela  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Yasemin, danke für deine Nachricht und Frage. Leider habe ich die Delonghi noch nicht ausprobiert, ich weiß also nicht, wie viel power der Schäumer hat. Grundsätzlich kann man mit jeder Kanne Latte Art gießen, also auch mit der 350ml - und auch egal mit welchem Model. Die Größe reicht dann aber nur aus für ein Getränk.

    • @dritanalsela
      @dritanalsela  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Noch ein Tipp:
      Schau, dass du irgendein zweites Gefäß hast, in das du die Milch vom Kännchen aus hin und her schütten kannst (siehst du sicher in meinen Videos wie ich immer vor dem Gießen hin-und her schütte), so bleibt dein "Microfoam" schön und trennt sich der schaum nicht von der Milch.. ganz wichtig für Latte Art :) Hoffe, das hat etwas geholfen. Why before pouring the milk it's advisable to share the milk to the other pitcher?

    • @dritanalsela
      @dritanalsela  7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi Ernest, I have several Live Streams online explaining why. It has to do with the consistency of the milk. After steaming, there is always thicker foam in the top than in the rest of the milk jug. If I don't share, my first cup will have more foam, the next cup less. Hope this makes sense. It is also crucial to pour latte art, you always have to keep the milk moving, otherwise it gets too stiff too fast.

    I want to buy one of your pitchers but, for a 400ml cup, will the 500ml pitcher work? or will the 750ml be better?

      Hi there, well a 400ml Cup is quite big.. If you make one Cup then the 500ml is juuust right..
