The humility "The shape of this is nice because it's hard for me to do something bad." 🤣
I've been told I'm extremely humble
All of the “bad pours” looked good to me
@@carolineschulz3269 I'm saying!!!
Hahaha absolutely cracked up when trying to highlight a mistake you said “now the shape of this is really nice, cuz it’s hard for me to make something bad” 😂
Yeah
his "fails" = other people's "makes" 😢😢😢
ha! It happens when you've been a coffee pro for a decade lol!
@@LanceHedrick LOL thanks for the tips though! Having a hard time steaming milk coz Dedica’s steam wand and pump ain’t the most ideal but will still definitely apply the tips you shared here
you can do it! It's not impossible!
@@ShinSuperSaiyajin love and patience to you finding the right windows. We have La Specialista at work and I can I hear staff making that milk picture screech from several rooms away. Keep trying. ☕️ ❤
In fact when you master something, it's hard to make mistake even on purpose!
I watched this video last night, made my morning coffee today and ON MY FIRST TRY I made more progress than I have in months. Pour speed, spout distance and starting too far back in the cup were my issue. THANK YOU PAPA LANCE FOR BEING AMAZING.
There are many videos online on the topic, but only this one and another one by Emilee Bryant made a real impactful difference in my latte art. Thanks, Lance.
Such a great video! Very informative, HILARIOUS, and also genuine. "We don't want ugly, we want purty" 😂 I would love to see an updated video with Latte Art using a NanoFoamer.
Haha thank you! Stoked you loved it
Also when you're showing pour speed, having it on slow motion is deceiving. Otherwise perfect tutorial
Lance, I have been working at and failing for the past several months at basic latte art. Thank you for posting this video. Too many videos I’ve seen show how-to and assume there will be no mistakes. These type of videos are more helpful to me because the assumption is something will go wrong.
Aww Lance, this is the most informative, delightfully-playful tutorial. I genuinely cracked up so many times - you are awesome. My attempts look a lot like your “fails” but I’m getting down the technique and doing some trial and error because it’s fun either way.
Thanks again!
Love your videos! They're both intuitive and fun. Thanks for more amazing tips and tricks.
Terrific video! The best coverage of the 5 basic mistakes that I'm still trying to sort out.
Love you Lance! Your a hero amongst us. Thanks for your work!
At first this video totally depressed me, because all of the "mistakes" looked much better than anything I have been able to pour. My hearts look more like leaves.
But after carefully studying the video, I found the section on flow rate very helpful. I had been following Emilee Bryant's advise to slow down the flow rate while pouring the design so the pour was the width of a pencil. This morning I poured a bit faster and got my first ever heart! Hopefully things will get better from here.
Thank you Lance for all you do!!!
Yes! It's all up from here!!
Awesome to see you back to your roots. This is a great review.. such fine teaching. You are gifted.
The fact that Lance can make latte art when he's TRYING NOT TO, makes me feel like a neanderthal banging cups of milk espresso around and grunting to no avail ol
Haha! It's just years and years of working bar. Tens of thousands of drinks poured and served
I've been waiting for this video. Finally started doing home espresso a few months ago and watched your original latte art videos, but still couldn't get it right. I've watched a couple other "what you're doing wrong" type videos, but nothing looked so much like my cup as the "pouring too slow" mistake. Thank you Lance! Can't wait to try it a little faster.
I love how you got in the reasons and examples for every bit of suggestion you were giving..thank you!
BAM! Big Bruv Lance comes out to show who's the daddy of Latte Art Instructional videos! Really appreciate you explaining each and every step of the process & props for thowing in all those nuggets of humour.
You got me! The last point of rotation, as I think, is the biggest problem of mine. Thanks for making the way for us to improve! 😍
Heck yeah! Stoked you got some good info from the vid!
As someone who has been doing pourover coffee for at least a decade, I applaud your expertise and ability to make the latte art learning fun without being intimidating n
Fantastic! I appreciate the comment!
Oh my god I had so much fun watching this, thank you. I have been humbled and inspired to have fun perfecting the basics at work tomorrow.
So happy to read this! Stoked you enjoyed it, friend
A new latte art video since such a long time 🥰 Thanks!
😂 this whole video made me laugh. so much value! thanks for keeping the fun alive and well!!
This video had me cracking up! You have a great sense of humour, but most importantly you know what you are talking about and a great teacher! Thank you
This has been such a joy to watch - definitely your best video imo.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
This came at a perfect time, Thank you Lance!
heck yeah! Hope you enjoy!
Great video good sir, very much obliged! I’m currently doing a barista course and today I failed many times making a simple heart on many lattes and cappuccinos. Took home almost 5kgs of failed coffee + steamed milk concoction lol. This video is literally a lifesaver and I will try your tips tomorrow in class. Thank you and wish me luck!
Incredible! Good luck and may the flow be with you!
Really nicely done video 👌 Thank you! I’m hobbyist and working on my very basic skills. I definitely have been skipping steps. Back to the basics now :)
Absolutely awesome instructional! Lotta info that’s a little overwhelming at first, but I’ll keep coming back as the understanding unfolds☕️🌿
love your videos .Thanks for such fine teaching
That video was great. Informative and helpful to new and experienced. And the humour was spot on!
Thank you! Stoked you dug it so much! Appreciate the support
I found you through those videos a couple years ago while I was shopping and deciding whether or not I wanted to get into espresso. Now I'm here and I played around enough I want to actually maybe get decent at this latte art thing so thanks for circling back
Amazing video! Not only did it help me understand how to steam milk with my new Bellman espresso stovetop machine, but the "why" behind the foaming of milk was fascinating.
This video is next level. So easy to digest. Thank you 😅
I always learn something new from your latte art videos! Super fun to watch!
Thank you! Stoked you enjoyed!
Love the personality! And the art!
Love your caffeinated energy!
Masterclass, Lance. Thanks man
I'm convinced Lance is the type of person who can be good at anything simply perfection in everything he does.
This has got to be one of your funniest Lance. Love your humor my friend. Great instruction as always. You helped me realize I had my foam too thick. Looking forward to trying to perfect my silky milky tomorrow.
This was both informative and entertaining lol. You sir, have my subscribe!!
Thank you for this! It was so helpful to see the distinctions between each of the categories visually to know which problem I actually needed to work on. Really appreciate the slow-mo as well, for a novice, there's a lot going on and happening quickly. Slowing it down helps my brain keep-up!
Good! Stoked to read that. So happy you enjoyed
Thank you so much for helping me love coffee more..you’re tips for steaming milk has helped me so much, and makes me enjoy making me and my wife’s lattes every morning so much more enjoyable and fun !! I can’t wait to get better and better and make better and better art slowly with that silky milky!!
sooo glad you have your latte art videos back! Will you do a part two on rosettas? Loved that video
Thank you! And not sure! This video is absolutely tanking haha!
Such a massive fan of the LH latte art video collection. Thanks for being so entertaining yet informative. Perfect videos. I would love to know what volume/brand of cup you prefer for these pours? Thanks again 😊
Lance, love your passion (and humour) for great latte art! 😂
Thank you, Doc! Appreciate the support!
This video was extremely helpful. Some things I thought were progress were actually me going too far in the opposite direction.
Thanks Lance
Heck yeah! Glad to read that. May the flow be with you!
Woke up to this video and you made my day. Hilarious! Great content and delivery.
that makes me so happy to read!
I was so proud of my latte art improvement today. And then I watched this video 😂
All in all, great video! Learned a lot. Laughed a lot.
My new latte art goal is to be able to pour beautiful art while doing the robot! Thank you Lance for a great tutorial.
Fuego tutorial. Mucho gusto, señor. Muchas Gracias.🙏🏼
I love the way you teach with fun,so interesting watching,I wanna go into barista career fully and I need all the knowledge and skills I can get ,
Brilliant! Learned a lot. Thank you!
This is what I live for! Thank you!
Best art video yet. Beautiful Mr. H
Appreciate it, Mr. B!
Perfect refresher for a rusty once professional now exclusively home barista!
That was a lot of espresso! Thank you for dispensing so many resources for us.
Great vid as always my friend. I've used this one and your first couple as refreshers when I get to feeling stale. I've also gotten more into pour overs lately though. Hope you're enjoying Europe!
Throwback to latte art tutorials? LOVE ITT
Heck yeah! Hope you enjoy!
Hey Lance - awesome video. I hit pause halfway through and made a latte with better art than I ever have. Now imagine when I watch the second half!
Incredible! That is so great to read!
LOVE this video SO much! More please.😊
Thank you so much! Appreciate the support
So much more than amazing latte art technique hear. My personal favorite extra was that beautiful rendition of "Kiss The Girl". Thank you for that! Plus I learned to do the robot.
Trying to teach multiple skills at once. A bargain, if you ask me! Haha
I like how your dancemoves are pretty good, too!
Thank you, Lance!
Awesome, informative and very funny video. Thank you Lance!
He’s such a coffee snob, and I love it! He’s so overqualified to teach this it almost hurts!😂
Every single mistake example looks better than any of my pours.
the best coffee guru!
Glad I found your videos. Think I'm going to be pretty wired today drinking my mistakes. But I'll get better.
Ah yes, its been a while. I remember I discovered your channel from your latte art tutorials, but stayed for your passionate and entertaining commentary. I can honestly say I always try to use your tips when steaming milk and dialing espresso. Been trying to perfect latte art but where I work they have mugs that aren't symmetrical... guess they got them for a discounted price. I'm hoping to convince them to invest in good mugs when they eventually buy a new espresso machine (They have a 1 group machine which has'nt been serviced in ages) even with all those disadvantages I still manage to do pour some cool stuff, all thanks to you.
That's so awesome to read! Thanks for taking the time to post. Appreciate the support and glad you find value in the vids!
Want to know more on cup size and milk volume.
Glad you do what you do best again!
Cup size is about 150-180mL
Milk is always about 75% of the cup volume
You're hilarious and also this is intimidating but so helpful!
Can't believe I'm lol at a latte art video. Great video, Lance.
Just love your vibe!
Appreciate it greatly! Thanks for watching!
The most entertaining video I've seen in my life
Hahaha, your best video. Lance is on a roll. Funny and informative
Peak TH-cam coffee rabbit hole video. Wonderful.
Need some touch up on my latte art skills, thanks for the video!
my man! Hope you enjoy!
So easy! Just do everything perfect 😂
Such a funny video! Thanks Lance❤
Haha! Thank you for watching!
I have been following your tutorials for like more than a year and I can say for sure that without your guides I wouldnt even be able to make a heart but now I can make rosetta(kinda).
I would be thrilled to create any of those mistakes.
10:17 "It's hard for me to make something bad."
Lol
Nice work!
There was no latte art until I started to watch your videos.
I have to thank you in the name of my neigbors, my family, my colleagues and friends.
Haha! Well I appreciate that! Thanks for the support!
@@LanceHedrick well, I do have to thank you as well in my name. I learned a lot and I really enjoy your videos! 👌
Thanks for another great latte art video your previous videos helped me massively when I was just starting to try latte art. do you think round vs sharp spouts make a massive difference to your pours ?
heck yeah! hopefully this adds to the help. And I wouldn't worry about spout until you are pretty advnanced. Work with what you have!
Will try some of these techniques 😁
Do it! Hope it works well for you!
I'm not much interested in Latte art, but Lance's milk steaming video was so good, I thought I might miss out if I don't watch this
Tip for the next video, get an actual amateur on the video to pour in front of you and try to correct their mistakes. You’re just too good to fail , they all look good 🥲
haha! That's an idea i've considered. I'll need to just do it!
that's what i thought, his worst looks almost like my best :D
@@LanceHedrick
Ok fine! I'll volunteer, since I need the help 😊
I had an "OOOOHHHHHHHHH" moment when you mentioned diving and gravity ay 10:30ish. Thank you so much for this!! You are so entertaining to watch!
Thank you very much Lance, believe it or not since months i’m doing it wrong and i just realized WHY. I carefully reviewed the video and for the first time i just did it. Yes i did it finally. Thank you from all my heart 🎉
I just have an espresso maker as my christmas present. I will try your technique so I can have pretty art. I’m sure my mommy friends would feel special with pretty latte also. Thank you so much! I’ve been making the thick foam mistake. I have to practice and probably make lots of mistakes. 😂
Thanks - very helpful.
Heck yeah! So glad you enjoyed
Subscribed and may I know what coffee machine you are using on this video. Love watching your videos.
You are the best🥰 i have to practice this art…i always fail😢
Nice refresher 😅 I’m sure I forgot some of these ❤
Hope it helps!
Good teacher❤❤
"The shape is really nice, because it's hard for me to make something bad" - killed me hahahaha
Got a much more powerful steam and now I’m making milk marshmallows 😅! Back to the learning curve! Love the videos ❤
Controlling the stretch is one fickle b*tch!
Which machine you upgraded from and to? I own a Bambino and is thinking if I should upgrade for a more powerful machine
holy shit man this has been the most fun video i have ever watched
and that creed reference at the end 'with arms wide opeeeeeeeen' cracked me up
good fkin job!
Thanks for the video! Awesome!!! Do you have other video on how to improve or what techniques are for mixing of milk with coffee in order to get a uniform base layer of dark colour? I am trying to swirl my coffee in cup while pouring for forming the base but it's so hard to do both in same time😅. Thank you! I am a big fan!!! Love your videos!
Thanks for a great singing tutorial😊
Haha! Absolutely!
I love it that when you try to fudge up a pour its still better than my best effort.
Haha omg this is literally the best espresso video ever
