Dealing with low idle at the moment it was around 400 it actually stalled on me once when I was at a red light yesterday but when idles low it starts shaking a little bit. Going to give this a try whenever I get home today.
Dealing with this same issue with a 2001 CRV. I was hopeful that doing what you did was going to fix it, but after cleaning the throttle body and replacing the IACV with an OEM Denso and adding a new MAP sensor, the low idle still persists. Fuel trims rule out a vacuum leak. Going to try cleaning the throttle body this weekend and hopefully find some blockage that I'd previously missed. I'm certain what you posted is helpful for those merely suffering from a dirty throttle or IACV.
Trying to remove clamp that holds pipe on throttle body. The nut for the clamp is hidden at the bottom facing back of engine. What size nut is it? I'm blindly trying to get a socket on it without much luck.
Is your Prelude still idling normal after all this time? My Prelude is starting to have a low idle issue just wanted to know that it's solve the problem permanently? Any guidance will be much appreciated thank you.
Disconnect both battery terminals put headlights on to drain any current, replace the terminals of the battery + first. Then start the car with all accessories off, and if manual do not depress the clutch, let the car idle for five minutes, and then drive it for about 20-25 minutes, then the ECU will memorise how you drive.
Seriously do this guys...Buy or use a micro sonic cleaner (with heater option) and do a proper cleaning, all it takes is grease cutting dish soap and tap water. It will work for many other parts! Should have seen how my hood latch turned out too! The high heat of the water will dry fast and it will be thoroughly cleaned right!
Is it okay to have coolant spill, might fuck around and do this . Hopefully my car does not explode since i am not mechanically inclined lol. Have a 00 lude with p0505 and p0420
Syphon the coolent out (from the rad cap) until its below the line level you are trying to undo....and then just put it back in when done, simple as that.

Do you have to bleed the system after cleaning? Allot of other videos I’ve watched they didn’t bleed the system

Yes for my car it did work permanently, maybe your cars running too rich or lean

yeah well you could put a rag under it but it shouldn't do anything bad besides leave a little mess

All I did was loosen and tighten back up the throttle wires it kept going up and down at first
Definitely didn't need to crack your bleeder screw for that tiny bit of coolant loss.

After completing this process, my car now idles too high, around 1200 rpm. I bled the coolant system as well. What could be causing this?
did you plug in the idle air control valve correctly?
