@@sabina1118 This is a brilliant masterpiece with brilliantly written lyrics and visuals about something we ALL have to go through in life, the loss of a loved one wheater it be a family member, a loved one or even a loved pet, the emotion is human and the same, and someday someone is going to mourn our loss when we go.. we all have to deal with that in our own way, and not everyone can really... and i think that's the point here.
The deeper the feeling the harder it hits.
Music is the perfect way to communicate such feelings, or get people talking about it, or help them get through it.
And boy, did they succeed on this one, these guys deserve every bit of praise that comes their way for this!
The whole album for me after having listened to music for over 45 years now is probably the greatest masterpiece i have ever heard.
It's stunning is every single way.
just before the last time i saw them live there was supposed to be a signing session, but it turned out there wasn't, but i bumped into Austin, the drummer who was wandering about, he was glad with what i had to say to him, and i got the album signed.
      Really nice bloke that :)

I'm 43 heavily tattooed dude. I can't get through any of these three songs without tears. It's heartwarming seeing you respond the same. Metal doesn't always equal anger and violence.

I am 70 years old and I cried. This is a very emotional song. I love Lorna Shore and Will Ramos. There is no other voice like his and that can do what he can do vocally. Thanks for showing emotion. It was very appropriate. Love your videos.

The sudden end to the music means two things(for me at least). 1- Part I ends and Part II immediately starts, and 2- music suddenly cuts as life also cuts for the woman in the video.

This band is phenomenal. Almost their own genre. This trilogy is an example how deathcore / any metal can be emotional and expressive. Its sad how many people will miss this masterpiece due to ignorance to the genre. This is a true work of art. Chills every time.

I’ve heard this song about 200 times and it never fails to make me cry. Also the abrupt ending is because is because all three songs are meant to be played back to back, they flow together like one song. Also major trigger warning about the music video for part 2! Not to give away too much, but it gets REALLY dark and graphic. I’m sure the age restriction warning will give you some idea what I’m talking about. But yeah, proceed with extreme caution (I honestly only listen to the trilogy on streaming or off the cd tbh)

You have to complete the trilogy, it is a really powerful story, one known by too many people, a mix of pain beauty brutal honesty that hits as hard as it sounds, yet the music under the song is outstanding and simple in parts, I love the song and the album

You know I want to say that I had depression a lot of time and at that time my emotions and empathy were very week. I felt anger and that I don’t want to live but hardly anything could touch me. And now when such stories with such music tear me up in the very beginning when I’m living through the voice and it’s inner pain im glad I can feel it because I think a human has to feel it, it’s heartbreaking. I switched from another reaction on this track to this reaction because at that moment I was in tears while reactioner wasn’t, and I saw on preview that you are also emotionally touched. I want to say that you are very beautiful and I think that you are more human than some are.

All 3 parts of the trilogy blend together as 1 long song. Each song has its own feeling, almost like it’s a different stage of grief. But, you can tell they’re really meant to be experienced together. VERY much worth checking out the other 2 parts.

  • @helenakasunic8810

Your definitely not the only one this trilogy made me cry so many times, It's so emotional and sad but absolutely beautiful at the same time. I never expected that I would be so emotionally touched by this genre of music but they somehow managed to convey that emotion perfectly. You should definitely listen to other two songs as well, they actually continue on to each other and make one long song if you listen to them in a row.

You definitely want to do them all back to back, as they continue from each one, and they flow perfectly together on the album. 1: Perfect transition into part 2.
2: Acts as a metaphor for life that is suddenly taken away.

Lovely reaction. We all teared up the first time, and for me, I still do. When I saw Lorna, they ended the concert with the full trilogy, all 20 minutes. There were tears in the audience, and Will says he still tears up performing it. It's a difficult subject, performed in a very raw and beautiful way. I hope you can read through the lyrics, Will and Adam are wonderful lyricists.

On a tangent on pain… yesterday, while I was driving home from work in the morning, someone decided to turn left into oncoming traffic, and that traffic was my car. I’m going to be bedridden for weeks with a broken ankle.

Hello Sabina.Since you're a big Nightwish fan, I noticed that you haven't had a song by them from the Anette era yet. A lot of people who've heard pretty much everything from Nightwish haven't listened to it yet, although it is should definitely be at the top of every Nightwish list. It's called "Meadows of Heaven" and a lyric version has fantastic pictures that reinforce the feelings while listening. It's just a tip from Nightwish fan to Nightwish fan.

  • @Schwarzstern
    @Schwarzstern ปีที่แล้ว

Hi Sabina! Nice reaction. Lemme take a shot on explaining how to view (black/death) metal vocals in the construct of the music as a whole the easiest way.
Lyrics and vocals in the song structure are, a lot of times, not meant to deliver a story or a message per se. The vocals are more of a tool to deliver or add a certain ambience, which Lorna Shore uses a quite big spectrum of, switching between deep growls and high pitched black metal screams.
Personally I listened to black metal for many years. For example that "vocal ambience" can be heard in Burzum's "Det Som Engang Var". Lyrics are meant for when you look more deep into the song, but it's the ambience what it's about.
And for your last edit on Pain Remains I where you said something like "it's amazing that music can deliver the feelings of pain and hopelessness so strong" I can recommend "Austere - This dreadful emptiness". That's depressive black metal if you want to put it in a genre-box but I have never heard a more painful song in my life, regarding the wrath in the pain.
Those are not really recommendations for reactions because some people's ears will bleed and some snowflakes don't like Burzum, because the dude behind it is an absolute idiot, but in my opinion the music's still great. This is just a recommendation if you are interested in that manner of music and to get a little deeper look in it.
Reaction recommendation: Woods of desolation - Somehow
    :]
    Cheers o7
