Meh....this is garbage. The moves are too simple. Who in the hack designed a side scroller without grappling? Where is Wayforward when you need them?? The people who design Scott Pilgrim, River City Girls 1 and 2. The is as bad as the latest Karate Kid beat 'em upper game. These developers 😢 need to study Street Of Rage 4.....which raises the bar highly and also study TMNT: SHREDDER Revenge. The is another cash grab on a license game🙄. Too simple moves and lackluster execution in the character moves list. This is a thumbs down for me👎 I am judging the book by the cover.....I did it for the latest Karate Kid game and guess what? I was right 👍
Everything looks crappy, the walking animations, the dead animations, jumping animations, the music, the impact boxes... numbers with the impact damage even! The sound of the cinematics is so poor also, recorded at home?!?

it definitely feels like we are living in a retro beat em up resurgence. Streets of Rage 4, Shredder's Revenge, Wrath of Cobra and the new Power Rangers game on the horizon, it's a good time for beat em up fans.
It’s definitely cool but I wish they had more variety on the soldiers/vipers. And most of all instead of wasting 2 boss spots on made up dark versions of Joes they should’ve used Scrap Iron & Copperhead(or Wild Weasel). Or even Serpentor. And the dreadnoks definitely should’ve been in it somewhere!
They are a little light on characters, so many Joes left out including Stalker, Flint, Lady Jaye, Shipwreck and a few like Quick Kick or Tracker who would’ve been ideal for this style of gameplay. Here’s hoping for Sgt Slaughter DLC
More characters will be released as DLC content, they have to milk it, to be able to make a guile able profit. They can sell you the game cheaper, and let you decided which extra characters, and levels you might want to pay for down the road. 🤔
That looks cool, I'll have to check it out. Hope they come out with some DLC for it. I hope they come out with a level with Wild Bill and also Ship Wreck would be cool! Now if we can get a beat um up for Voltron :)
I’ve only seen one other review on this from I Dream Of Indie Games and he crapped on it from a great height. Labelled it mediocre. But this Is far more positive.
Different strokes for different folks, not everyone will like the same things, I enjoyed the hell out of this game, but I'm sure there are those out there that will hate it. That's why people need to make up their own decisions in life on what is or isn't good for them.
The games have started becoming a bit formulaic, it seems. Probably still good, but not making the same impact as Streets of Rage 4 or the Turtles game I suppose.
@@Evilkingus to be fair the beat em up genre has a simple formula. You can’t mess with the formula too much otherwise it becomes either a straight up fighting game or a third person view point game.
How do they not make Sgt Slaughter a playable character at release?? Dispatching swarms of enemies is what the Sarge did in the cartoon. Seems out of touch to me that he wasn't in this from the start.
I'm sure they are holding certain characters back for DLC content. Also, Sarge is slightly different as they would have to pay an additional fee to use his likeness since he is a real person. Other characters they wouldn't have to do that with.
I didn't even know this was coming out! I'm guessing it's from the same people who made TMNT Shredder's Revenge? If not it has the same vibes and looks like it's just as much fun.

@@cooltoy Doesn't have to be real guns; GI joe skins pew pew sounds. TDM is probably best as you respawn in 5 seconds. BF games have no blood in a while. You can first top ten on each team can be assigned a character name, and the rest to be none-character troopers. You move up the character ranks depending on previous round performance, or monthly score board. They can be really creative here. Tank models, gi joe planes, etc. Hasbro can capitalize on this ideal. Fortnite has its own toy line now... Hasbro needs to get behind the times. This particular game is really just a dabble in the game industry.
This game looks awesome! Exact same setup and style as TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge. Does anyone know when this game will be released on consoles like Xbox One, PlayStation, etc.? They really need to do one like this for x-men but in their animated series versions.
yeah but maybe if a different developer made it like Tribute Games Dotemu or Wayforward I'd find it more appealing just don't look like they put alot of love into it as they should have
