This was amazing! Thank you! I've always hated doing outreach, and the wording would catch me up. I love positioning as a strategy call for research so you aren't insinuating that their site is awful or ugly which is how I usually feel those come across!
Happy to hear that! Yeah, the way to address the first contact can make a whole lot of difference, both for your confidence that you're doing things with respect and integrity, and for how it lands on your prospects. All the best trying this strategy out!
For small clients, it is expected. The bigger the client and the budget, the more expertise they expect, and there comes a time when I recommend specializing in either designing or development. I just uploaded a new video talking more about that called "A minimalist approach to scaling your Web Design business".
It could, it's just very time consuming, and you're assuming you know what they need before diagnosing their situation like experts do. So it won't necessarily position you as an expert. I talk in depth about it in the value proposition chapter.
I understand your point. I started testing this method this morning. I saw your video before sending the message so I was able to mix your advice by offering a free consultation to debrief the concept + suggest other improvements 🤞
Good question! The social media you chose should be based on where your ideal clients are more active on. By doing the calls I mention in this video, you can find out where they move and double down on the platform most of your clients are active in. This strategy takes the guess work away. Think of interest groups in LinkedIn, Facebook, Reddit. Check accounts they follow on Instagram. Research if there's any particular social media for that niche (like Behance/Dribbble for creatives). The most difficult part is finding those first prospects to talk with. They will open the doors to find more, and I also recommend you ask them to refer you to a colleague at the end of the call. Hope that helps!

Hey! Amazing content! Question... Is it expected in the industry of web design that a freelancer is also providing the code or implements the design?
For small clients, it is expected. The bigger the client and the budget, the more expertise they expect, and there comes a time when I recommend specializing in either designing or development. I just uploaded a new video talking more about that called "A minimalist approach to scaling your Web Design business".
Sounds like an interesting strategy... I'll try it.
Let me know how it goes!
Thx for the value 🙏 do you think that hero redesign can be relevant with small local businesses ?

Not for now!
Just as I wanted to do Outreach Tomorrow, Ill try to implement this... Thanks
Good timing then, happy to hear that!
Does this work best for emails, DMs on a platform like LinkedIn? Or both? Where/how are you finding prospects in your niche?

✨👋💪😉👍✨
Switch "are you up?" to "are you up for it?" 🧐 bad grammar can - and will - turn clients off amigo 😘
