They sell less cars because their vehicles dont sell well.... Look at sales data in previous generation of mazdas, they had no problems shifting units. Even the CX-5 was a top seller amongst their segment. Mazda these days can't sell because there are so many competitive options, Mazda couldn't compete. The premium up market strategy was a complete fail and Mazda CEO has admitted the premium marketing just didn't work. Koreans have dug into every other segment roots and offered extremely valued package with all the options without costing a lot, even a toyota cant come close to it.
CVTs with synthetic shifting is not just boring it also puts more of a "shock" through the belt that can wear it faster than a normal cvt than changes its ratio smoothly.
Much like apple products, hindi lang nagbabase sa specs, kundi sa overall user experience. Meron siyang mga aspects na hindi obvious sa mga regular consumers
if you look at mazda 3s cabin parang di high tech.. kaunti lang ang buttons and maliit lang ang screen.. pero ang totoo, isa ito sa pinaka hightech together with the all new honda civic sa segment nila.. napakaganda lang talaga nag pagka layout nila ng mga buttons niya kaya di mo pansin..

In addition, mazda uses conventional torque converter engine (trad automatic) compared to CVT's of toyota & honda which I think is more reliable, engine-wise.
That is why i get rid of my nissan rouge 2019 2.5 engine cvt trans i traded with mazda cx3 awd which has 2.0 engine a/t.uphill driving,merging in freeways you can’t go wrong zoom zoom all the way
yeah right. they're still conventional and not overengineered and complicated like the German premium brands. great and surprisingly reliable but not at all sophisticated or at least not here in ph. i remember watching savagegeese's review of the 3. prolly the best review for me. i hope they bring in the skyactiv x here in our local market. aasa nalang haha

Yes! It’s just built differently overall. Late 2020, when I saw the geely coolray, naimpress ako sa interior grabe ang ganda! Pero nung dumasn ako sa mazda, nakita koyung all new m3, namangha ako.. mas maganda quality ng mazda interior. Kaya pala mura lng coolray. Di gaano masyado maganda quality. Grabe ang ganda talaga ng mazda. Miski nga honda civic, ang layo sa m3.
Esp. when you see this car in person. When I checked out the Coolray after the lockdown, I was blown away with how cheap it is but with all those features. Made me think that Japanese cars were inferior. But when I saw the all new Mazda 3... I was wrong. The quality is waaaayyyyy better. Thus explains the price. You can just really tell the difference. Interior pa lang yan ha. Also build quality is just... different. Then the drive. Wow!
I own a Mazda 3 Sedan Gen 1 2010 and I have it until now. 14 yrs na sya sakin. Matibay na kotse. It still drives great! Also, mas maganda pa features ng Mazda. I am planning to buy a Mazda 2 or 3 na kahit 2nd hand, Trade In ko na lang yung kotse ko.
I totally agree with your explanation why Mazda can't be compared in price and performance from the mainstream brand kahit pareho sila Japanese brand. I'm an avid fan of most North American car journalist kaya naiintindihan ko lahat at naniniwala ako sa lahat ng paliwanag nyo. Isa pang reason kung bakit special car ang Mazda ay dahil sa reliability ng engine, halos nagpapalitan sila ng Lexus at Toyota sa number 1 spot for the last three years ayon sa mga famous American car magazine na ang panel ng mga hurado na nag e evaluate every year ay mga expert car enthusiasts and journalist. Kahit maliit na company ang Mazda pero ang budget ng R&D nila ay malaki kaya maganda ang resulta ng bawat model na inilalabas nila. Yung bagong labas nilang CX-50 sa US at CX-60 sa Europe ay maganda ang mga feedback ng mga car reviewers from Europe and the US.
Very informative..personally for I'd rather have mazda that BMW with all the problem they're having. Here in the USA you can get a used BMW for less than a used Mazda or Toyota, because if the expensive maintenance, parts and labor, while Toyota or Mazda has cheaper. That's why, alot of people buy BMW, they just keep it for 5 years or less especially wnen the warranty expired.

Why I choose mazda? it is a driver centric vehicle,exterior and interior designs are luxurious and not easy to get old,it is a great car,here in Canada it is a head turner kind, mazda 3 hatchback and mazda cx3… why get bmw audi or mercedes benz if mazda offers better drive,fuel economy and cheaper mentainance, compared to other japanese car brands it is a bit expensive but way more better from the design,engine and transmission,loved our mazda cx3’s 😁🤗

Nope it will never be an alternative to germans. Vehicle handling compared to an audi is not even close. Germans have essentially mastered how to make a luxury vehicle and the characteristic of one, mazda doesn't come close. Mazda dont even come close to how Lexus even drives, so it has no chance of beating any germans. Even a golf drives better than a mazda.

mazda s handling is the best in japanese car...the only thing mazda car needs is a large turbo bec they over engineered most of their cars so it can handle a turbo without changing compnents
only thing with these mazdas is that the mileage is absolutely terrible unless you live in a big city. It shows 360ish miles when i fill up my tank, and after driving maybe 60 miles it’ll be all the way down in the 250-260 range. took the car off the lot and have drove it 6k miles since purchasing and still bad mileage:(

Question: do the Linea Corse lc818 mags come with a bolt pattern of PCD 5x114.3 (which is the M3 standard)? I have not come across such LC mags that are 19 x 8,.5 with this bolt pattern; so did you use an adapter?

Mazda it self manufacture cars that value for your money and though its pricey compare to other japanese car brand,here in UAE i did consider getting a Mazda CX-3,and i also tried driving the Mazda 3 sedan it was fun to drive,seats hug your back,no acceleration lag, really responsive steering wheel! and the design really works well,but i ended up getting mitsubishi,again budget wise..anyways Mazda its a great car ,Drive safe everyone!

for me, the biggest sell for mazda is the use of conventional auto-transmission.. CVT is boring even with synthetic 'shifting'

only thing with these mazdas is that the mileage is absolutely terrible unless you live in a big city. It shows 360ish miles when i fill up my tank, and after driving maybe 60 miles it’ll be all the way down in the 250-260 range. took the car off the lot and have drove it 6k miles since purchasing and still bad mileage:(

Question: do the Linea Corse lc818 mags come with a bolt pattern of PCD 5x114.3 (which is the M3 standard)? I have not come across such LC mags that are 19 x 8,.5 with this bolt pattern; so did you use an adapter?
Yes it’s PCD is 114.3 and I don’t use adapter. It’s actually rare because it is staggered. Most Lineas are square

Mazda it self manufacture cars that value for your money and though its pricey compare to other japanese car brand,here in UAE i did consider getting a Mazda CX-3,and i also tried driving the Mazda 3 sedan it was fun to drive,seats hug your back,no acceleration lag, really responsive steering wheel! and the design really works well,but i ended up getting mitsubishi,again budget wise..anyways Mazda its a great car ,Drive safe everyone!
