This is one of the most underrated songs of all time,me and my pals were out camping one night and we heard this song," screaming your a liar" god this takes me back ,I was 12 or 13 ,it still sends shivers down my back when I hear it now, what bothered me was when it was played , very rarely on the radio they never played it to the end,ie the bass guitar .omg just a fantastic song .

I have seen thousands of bands live over the years, you name them and chances are that i have seen them. One of the best bands i ever saw was Lindisfarne at Essex University in the early 70s. I met them after the show and got them to sign autographs ( which i sold on E-bay a few years back).
Alan Hull asked me to carry his guitar whilst Ray Jackson got my mate to carry his mandolin to the tour bus. Real nice guys oh yes i can still remember that night.....

A great band and a great artist Alan Hull, often described as the Bob Dylan of the North East, but he was more , much more than that. He was also a great human being, so much unsung by the UK. Sad... it takes someone from Algeria to shine a light on this great, great man

Great memories of going to see Lindisfarne at St Andrews Hall Norwich. The back up band started late as Lindifarne had not made it through the snow yet. They called and said their truck was stuck and they were hitching on ahead. They eventually turned up at about 9:30 pm. The door opened and they came in in a blast of snow. They had a few minutes to get ready and played a fantastic show with the back-up band's gear. Not quite the same these days.

My first was in '72....Humble Pie with new group, Foghat and Jo Jo Gunne...Second, '73 was Humble Pie with "new group from California", "The Eagles"--kind of remembered Withchy Woman...and while wishing I was at a Santana concert, emcee intoduces Jorge Santana and Malo--Sauvecito...wow

The first time I saw this group was at Salford University in 1978. It was probably in the same week that they gave their performance at the Granada Studios. The studios, just down the road from Salford Uni, was where Tony Wilson worked for regional news. I saw him at a number of local concerts. He was looking for an outlet for his musical passion and, of course, he went on to found the Hacienda, Factory Records and contributed to the creation of "Madchester"

Well Rod who used to play bass and Ray on drums are the only 2 originals left playing, but a Lindisfarne certainly still exists and are still great. with Rod playing mandolin, slide and lead guitar. Ray co-stars in a tour called the Lindisfarne story with Billy Mitchell. Also worth a night out to see. Sadly Si Cowe has now also passed away and Jacka at least at the moment is retired as far as I know..

I'm not saying if you weren't there, you don't 'get it', but it was such a sense of Geordie pride being there with the band at city hall...ye knaa wor ah mean like ?

Lindisfarne sono stati un gruppo folk-rock britannico molto popolare negli anni settanta[1].
Tra i loro successi: Lady Eleanor, Meet Me On The Corner, Fog on the Tyne.
La band era capitanata da Alan Hull (20 febbraio 1945 - 17 novembre 1995), voce, chitarra e piano del gruppo[2].
Il gruppo ha continuato l'attività fino al 2003.

There used to be a quaint quirky pub in exeter in the uk called the Red Cow. University students would frequent it as it was fairly near the campus and it was very near the level crossing by St Davids station. You could have a yard of ale there if you were brave enough. For the completely insane, they had a funnel with a long tube, which you slid down your throat to your stomach and then the funnel could be filled with whatever spirits anybody chose. It was a sure way to go from being stone cold sober to needing an ambulance in under a minute! In the separate pool room at the back was the best jukebox in town and that was where I first heard this wonderful song in 1983, as a student from exeter college, just up the hill. Like many other uk pubs, the Red Cow was knocked down around 2004 and some ugly 'british brutal' flats built therre instead.
