It`s one of these albums that were the best keep secret in any rummage box around Germany! Even so Lindisfarne were chart toppers this album didn`t show much interest.
I am trying to find the entire "Lindisfarne Live" album that this performance came from. It's from 1971, with the same cover photo as in this video.. But I cannot find it ANYWHERE. It's really hard to track down. Not even the bootleggers have it, it seems ! I want it as a free download. Can anyone help ?
Can anyone list all the songs and tunes played in the harmonica jam? I know a number of them, others sound familiar but I can't get all of them. 1. ? 2. Scotland the Brave 3. ? 4. Bobby Shaftoe 5. Leaving of Liverpool 6. ? 7. Blaydon Races 8. Jingle Bells 9. Auld Lang Syne 10. Mademoiselle from Armentieres (Three German Officers crossed the Rhine) 11. Camptown Races 12. She'll be Coming Round the Mountain 13. Police siren 14. Z Cars theme (Johnny Todd) 15. ?
Excellent work @austenobrian. But I thought there was only one tune between "Bobby Shaftoe" and "Blaydon Races" - the verse and chorus of "Keep Your Feet Still, Geordie Hinny".
@@RoyalStandardGCF You may be right, I don't know Keep your Feet Still, Geordie Hinny, not being from the north east. The first part sounded like Leaving of Liverpool to me.
@@adolforodolfo6929 It is The Keel Row, for sure, but it's a traditional Tyneside song, rather than Scottish. Keels were boats that plied the Tyne supplying the larger sailing ship when in harbour.
Back in the day, when I was a radio DJ, this was my go-to track for a bathroom break!😁
Bathroom break ? You could have read a book...the song is that long !

Classic.Worked with a girl who had to make a court appearance regards this case. She was at the party
Ray Laidlaw, an amazing harmonica player.
I think you mean Ray Jackson, Ray Laidlaw was the drummer.

Absolutely brilliant - I was once told that the Police raided the audience hence the Z Cars tune. The audience reaction suggests this to be true?

3 is called "The Keel Row" - pretty sure it's an old Scottish folk song. Dunno what 6 is or 15.
