I will take that into account. Also the point you made concerning doing these videos for agents who have luxury listings is a major point. That's my biggest take away.

Offered a ton of helpful content along with beautiful footage as proof of concept in this well paced tip video, and right about when you got to your call to action to join the course, I was like "hmm, I wonder what his editing process looks like." Thanks Parker! Just signed up for the course. Had shot my first real estate video this past week and struggled with finding a balance between lighting inside and windows getting blown out. Will definitely be following your tips on my next shoot.
i believe he showed it in some of his other videos. he has a HUGE soft light just beside the camera to the front of his face, and another hard light from the back to outline his shoulder. use colored LED for the wall, and shoot using (i would guess) a 16-35mm on the 35mm end, on the 1DXii.
If you use ND gels over the outside of windows in small rooms, it lets you expose both the outside and inside of the room perfectly and only takes an extra couple of minutes to set up if you're on the ground floor.

Do you find that your 18mm on an APS-C wide angle shot is good enough? Im considering a Sony A6500/6400 with 16-105 f.4 OSS but there is also a nice 10-18mm wide-angle
@@robbyllewellyn I have the Sony A6500 and the 18-105 f4 lens. This is an excellent lens but not in low light and not for real estate as it's a 27-157mm f6 full frame equivalent. It really shines in well lit video, especially outdoors and gimbal shooting. I also have the sigma 16mm f1.4 (24mm f2.1 full frame equivalent) on a a6500, which is ok for real estate. The low light capability is excellent but it would be much better if it was wider. An alternative, if you have an a6500 is to get the viltrox speed booster and get a 16mm canon f2.8 lens. This will give you that 16mm wide angle and a lot more light gathering for much less cost. I think Parker is on the money though and the Canon are the way to go at the moment. Their dual pixel auto-focus and lens selection is amazing. Sony lenses are super expensive for the same thing.
Love the in-depth tutorial man. Much appreciated. What are your thoughts on taking a small commission when the house sells, so that the Realtor doesn't have to pay you up-front? Say a Realtor makes $50,000 on the sale of a home, and you agree to receive 5% if the home sells. It's risky, since some homes can take awhile to sell, but instead of making $500, you might earn $2,500. Obviously, you'd have to have a comprehensive production agreement/contract to make sure everyone gets paid, and it's definitely a trust-based transaction for the most part. What are your thoughts on that?
So helpful man... You are the best I watch so many videos every day. Here's an problem I'm facing when I shoot apartments. When it comes to photos, I do pretty good and I don't have any real issues. When I switch to video, things change A LOT. I have the Sony A6400 with the sigma 16mm f/1.4 No gimbal, no ND filters for this lens. I shoot at 60 fps at 1080p and the quality is okay. I want more but if I shoot 4k at 24fps and with no gimbal it would be very unstable. That's it because the guy I'm working with asks for a one-take video which is pretty hard for me with no gimbal and the different exposures I have to deal with. I set my camera on auto focus but sometimes there are subjects in the foreground and I'm losing the background image because it might focuses on a plant for example. When I stabilize that footage in post, I get this over stabilization and it messes up my frames..... I also have a huge problem with flickering. In the free version of davinci, I cannot deflicker the footage. Also, when I shoot the bathroom, I can't deal with it because sometimes there's no window in the bathroom, only the lamp as a light source. In the end, the footage looks so bad to me.
I hope you hit a couple million in the near future. Been subbed to your channel for a while now and the quality content is amazing. Your information has helped me tremendously in my film making. Thanks bro!

Best content I can find to help me improve! Couple questions...is the Ronin-S still the go-to? Also, for the focus, can I just shoot everything in infinity?
Hi Parker, I really admire your work! I see you are a very generous person. I would like a hint of yours, when I enter a room filming or another environment, when the camera focuses towards the window, the image becomes dark (black) and as soon as the window leaves the focus, the image returns to normal. I see your filming does not happen that way. Do you have any specific settings to avoid this? Type to clear the Saturation, Contrast, etc ... (I use a Nikon D5300 with Sigma 10-20mm lens). Thanks.
Hi Peter, Great job, you can count me in for this course. One question. Why you never correct your verticals in your real estate videos? The converging lines are not the best way to go, don't you agree?
Thank you for this video. You covered more in a short time than most due in longer videos. Your explanations are concise, easy to follow and extremely helpful. Glad I found your channel! I look forward to more!

Hey James! I’ve never shot Nikon but I’ve shot both Canon and Sony. I can definitely agree that Canon has the best colors by far straight out of camera. If you’re looking to limit your color correction, go with Canon

I am currently participating in your full course and am learning everyday. I truly respect the hard work you've put into yourself and others, Very inspiring to say the least. Hope to hear back soon.
Parker, man I had no idea you were connected to Utah Aerial Imaging. I subscribed to that channel years back and never made the connection between your channel and that one. Sick videos, I get a lot of inspiration off of them, unfortunately I never get the opportunity to put in the hrs on these shoots as the properties I shoot are all sub $1mil, often times as low as $300k so my pricing naturally is lower since agent's commission is lower. I really appreciate all your tips and tricks. Your work is truly brilliant. My business revolves around photography but more and more agents are opting for video work so I get a few video gigs here and there. So many budget jobs though that cause me to do only exterior video, then throw in picture pans for the interior :( not ideal but time is money and when agents are not able to pay, its the only alternative I can think of. Thanks again,
Fantastic! Jam - packed with usable info. Question: I just bought a Canon 80D and am pairing it with a Canon 10-22mm lens. I'm blowing out all the window shots in the main and living room areas that have modest sized windows or sliding glass doors. I tried shooting at Golden Hour and also Twilight, but it makes only the slightest improvement. Is the dynamic range on the 80D simply not good enough to do walk-throughs? They look nothing like your sample interior shots. Not sure if I should return the camera...
Is not the camera... you have to shoot manually, expose for the windows until the inside looks acceptable, turn on the lights if you can, then on your computer adjust the shadows and the midtones. the inside will look a little darker that the outside but will look ok.
Parker, I was hoping to use the Katana with the Mavic 2 Pro for interior videos and see two big issues. One is the focal length of 28 vs like 16mm. Second the Katana I just find too much movement. Suggestions? Another $3k A7iii and Crane or DJI Rosin? and wide lens?

This was awesome! I'm half way through the regular course and learning so much!
Yeah! Thanks Parker, very good content for us 💪💪
Trying to get into the real estate video market. This helps. Thanks.
No time wasted ! Enjoyed every second of it.
Parker is the best! Just amazing what he provides here!
Dude I can't thank you enough! I love your honest, no BS, straight to the point videos! 👍
