This is specifically the model DCC-1220WM. Cuisinart does not seem to have this manual on their website, so this video is much appreciated!

Same thing for me. I misplaced my manual and then the clean light came on. I basically knew you had to run 1/3 vinegar and 2/3 water through to clean. However, I didn't press the clean button and hold it. After the process, of course the light stayed on. This is how I found this video and now know oh that's why the light never went off.

Oh my gosh!!! The manual doesn’t say anything about the coffee maker stopping and starting back up. I thought mine wasn’t working right! So I kept pushing the button to make it start again. I was on my 4th pot of cleaning solution when I finally googled it. Most frustrating hour and 46 minutes of my life! I was ready to throw it out. Thank you

Thank you for the demonstration and explanation. This isn't described anywhere in the instruction booklet. All it says is "Clean Button, press to activate CLEAN function". I guess they figure no one reads the instructions, so why bother documenting it.

Thanks my red light has been going on and I couldn’t figure out how to clean it. I just kept running the vinegar through it, but the light kept coming on so thank you for posting this because I had that exact coffee maker, and it needed to be cleaned and I ran vinegar through it by the week ago and it still comes on so today right now I just did what you did and let’s see what happens. 1/3 white vinegar 2/3 water. Got it as a gift 2 years ago, been using it 3 months clean light came on. Had no idea about the clean mode. I have never spent more than $20 bucks for coffee maker, hopefully this will last a long time.

Mine is apparently a budget version. No light came on. If there is one. Been at least a year since purchased. Cleaning it now.
I’ve had two of these, when I push the clean button. It’s starts, then the button quits flashing and that’s it. It does do anything more.

Did you do the descaling procedure according to my video. If your light is still on after that, then the manual says to do another descale with vinegar.

When I hold down the clean button mine beeps and turns off the cleaning process after only like 30 seconds
