I have a 2006 Accord 4 cylinder with an auto transmission. Changed the coils and spark plugs as well as the upper and lowers control arms. Rides and feels like a brand new car now. Keeping it forever.

As a previous owner of an '06 6 speed coupe, I recently obtained an '04 coupe with just under 63K and a 5 speed. Plan to get some lowering springs, CL-S sway bar, and a CT Engineering intake (from the 1G TSX). As you mentioned, these 5 speeds are fun to drive. Overall, 7th gen Accords great daily drivers to have

I'm obsessed with the 7th Gen Accords, had a 2004 & now a 2007 (both K24 engines). Debating about getting the J30 version before going all out with my build.

    • @DGB2000

I bought it at 190k. Honestly, invest in getting what needs to be repaired done. I have done rack and pinion, power steering pump, cooling fan, starter. If the check engine is on get it repaired. I use ebay to buy my parts and get my skilled side mechanic to do the work.. professional shops are too expensive@@ceciliaabdalla4954

@ceciliaabdalla4954 the secret is you find the right previous owner, if they have a record of he/she did their regular maintenance like oil changes every so often that's a really good start in knowing that honda will last a longevity & you take care of it for years to come

Congrats! I own the EX with Leather, but with the Automatic in Carbon bronze pearl. I have 118,000 miles now, and since some things haven't been done, the cost is getting higher. But it's all good, because after a bit of money is spent it's just scheduled maintenance from here on out!!
Welcome to the 7th gen family!

oh man, these things will live forever. i currently have a hand me down 06 accord with about 330k miles on it (about 40k by me) and it still goes. everyday i redline it and it doesnt argue or bog down in any way. my only issue is the fact that its an auto, severely limiting what i can do with the vehicle due to time and money not really being there. its only slightly modded with a deleted muffler, short ram intake, and a tl rear swaybar. the car feels capable in the corners and reacts fairly well even on rough roads. the only issue i have is my driver front upper control arm having a shot bushing but she still rides quietly.

Back in '11/'12 when the '06/'07 models hit their 5th year and dealerships all over Ohio were receiving them as trade-ins from customers who would upgraded to a current model cars the average asking price was only $10,000 base (50%). I remember thinking, 'wow what a depreciation. They must have problems or be trash all together. In retrospect, I should've picked one up then. They're like cockroached that never die under any circumstances
