Thank you for posting this. I am new to bonsai and pots are so expensive💰. With a little creativity, you can make unique pots to suit your trees. Mad props to you for showing the mistake and how to correct it, because accidents happen and one needs to know how to survive them.
Hi I use to make similar pots. Have you tried using "Lafarge fondue". It is much stronger than cement. It costs alot more than cement but well worth it. My way was with chicken wire & fiberglass matting. I use to sew together in some places & shape as I go & then mix my fondue with cement colour and paint on 3 or 4 coats adjusting colour as I go to give it a natural look. Unfortunately I sold all of mine to a couple of bonsai nuseries. It was in the 90s so I don't even have any pictures. Love your work!
I made one similar to this but placed chicken wire after first layer of cement, then put another layer on top. It’s very strong I intend using it for a Forrest planting, love your channel

I think, you need to add steel road in the inner area around it, so can avoid this issues. and will help long lasting. anyway nice Idea, thanks!
Yes was thinking the same, a thin wire mesh would hold it together.
