The banana stem will moderate the alkalinity of the lime, helping to neutralise the ph balance of the soil used. i think it also helps the paint to stay on.
you could make the molding shapes with plywood and not pvc. it would have been easier and safer (burned plastic, no little pieces of plastic when cutting and sanding); for a more smoothed finish, I would have sand it at 15:25, before the last cement layer. people certainly do not know why you soaked the pot with bamboo pieces: if I remember clearly, it dissolves the harsh molecules of cement. you also do that when you make a cement pond for fishes. you put water and bamboo for a week, then rince the pond before using it. I love the pot. thanks for sharing!
Thanks very much for the detailed video of all the steps! I've watched several of these type videos and yours is the best. You really showed all the steps clearly and great clarity. 👏👍💯
I'm thankful everytime that I have seen someone who is a master of craftsmanship, and I also think whoever created the first frosted cake was thankful too ! Some amazing examples of what mankind has figured out in a biodegradable format when you wanted to with the few life lessons to make something that isn't made with the toxic plastic and volatile chemicals .
Try adding some cement dyes. You’ll like the outcome. They come out looking amazing with either finished method. That’s the roughish sand cement finish or this way with a wet pure cement mix poured before and after for a smoother finish. Great videos, only just found you and subbed shortly into a video. What was the reason for adding banana plant pieces in the water for the curing process in one of your videos?
Vídeo incrível o vaso está perfeito , para mim so falta a mesa giratória para que eu faça vasos ...tem algum vídeo de como fazer mesa giratória? Parabéns e sucesso sempre 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
really well done. you are so talented Good for you. I have a question. why you put the pieces of banana wood in water for a week in the bonsai pot? good day from Greece
I love watching a rare video, like this one, that once fills me with wonder and amazement of the skill, but at the same time leaves me with the passion and desire that I'm going to try this for myself. Thank you for sharing! I subscribed and look forward to watching many more. Question: I'm in the US and wouldn't know where to find the banana stalk you use. Is there an alternative plant that might be readily available in the US?
Thank you for your appreciation. There is no alternative to banana tree. If you don't have banana tree then just use water. Change the water after 2/3 days. Hope this helps.
Wonderfull video, super clear step-by-step and the ambient sound is very relaxing, you are lucky to live in a quiet place qhere you can hear birds chirping and the nature. Can i ask you why do you do the simmering of the piece in water with banana tree trunks for 7 days? im curious to know what does it do? does it make the final piece stronger? thank you for your videos, im subscribing!
Thanks for the informational video! Btw do you think i could make the profile out of something like an ice cream carton? Would it be strong enough to make the outline?

Great thank you👍🙏. I would also like to make a bonsai pot. Are you making the relief with a cement-glue mixture? What type of glue do you use for this? How do you make the color for the painting? Greetings
Add a touch of frost proofer in with the sand cement mix to protect from frost otherwise first hard frost and pot will crack like glass…… other than that, brilliant…… I will definitely be having a go at this
@@freetimework can I ask what substances please? I only ask I want to give my trees the best chance and I dont have access to banana stems, so might have to find something else that works.

What is the benefit of banana tree in water?
It will help to remove the toxic from cement.
@@freetimework Thank for your response 🙏
wonderful work! How have you sealed the pot? and why banana tree? :)
banana tree is high in potassium, which will neutralise the lime in the cement, helping the PH in the soil
