These rewrites are amazing! Can't believe how underrated you are

This is way better on all fronts, from characters to worldbuilding. The only issue is that with all these changes it would be a juggernaut of a movie. Still, considering this is a first draft, you could trim some of the dialogue, and a lot of the action scenes don't need to be as long as they are, either.

The best suggested improvement was having the Emperor trick Vader into stealing Padme's life to survive. I wouldn't have had Vader realize that's what happened, though, so as not to weaken his bond with Palpatine.
One thing that has always bothered me about ROTS was the parallel approach to Padme's funeral and Anakin's reconstruction. It made the funeral seem like a rush job since saving Anakin's life must have been one. I would've had a scene prior to the funeral with Anakin's limbless body floating in a bacta tank, just to make clear his sorry condition and establish some passage of time between his torching and the funeral. Even better, Palpatine could've informed him of Padme's death as he floated in the tank, so that he would thrash around impotently in rage and loss. His reconstruction as a full cyborg could then be paralleled with Padme's funeral as a similarly solemn occasion -- two entombmemts taking place simultaneously, with both Padme and Anakin being laid to rest.
And, of course, Anakin's line, "You underestimate my power!" before getting the big chop has got to go. I prefer the "Tombstone" approach, where Anakin quietly tenses with resolve, and Obi-Wan shouts, "Don't do it!" right before Anakin leaps.

Yeah, the Tombstone approach would've been good. Sometimes it's way better to have less dialogue in a scene.
I believe Padme's childbirth and death scene parallels Vader's creation, not her funeral? As it stands in the movie, she dies right as Vader gets his mask. The timeline on when her actual funeral takes place could be left up to interpretation. I always thought it was a couple days later, which would still be a quick service for such a statesman.

Great video! But, rather than being born on Polis Massa, Luke and Leia should have been born on Dagobah. This change would make Luke's line in Episode 5 make more sense: "Something familiar about this place."

I wonder if Anakin before he killed the younglings sees a vision of them being tortured by Sidious so he would break them and turn them into dark side acolytes. Anakin then kills the younglings out twisted morality and out of confirmation he has the power to change fates.

That's such a twisted, great theory-- I totally love it

The narrative is so heavily improved with these additions, it almost makes the original seem shallow because of all the points it set up but unknowingly didn’t pay off.
I love how palpatines promise to cheat death was fulfilled, it’s so tragic that anakins life was saved at the cost of padmes

Thanks! I personally like the notion that the dark side never outright lies to someone, but rather its promises pan out in horribly twisted ways. I wish we got to see more of that.

This feels like what would be in the book version of the movie.
