    Looks great - I lived & worked in India for 7 years and haven't had a decent biryani since returning to the UK so I'm looking forward to trying your recipe as the first meal we cook in in our new NInja Foodi 11 in1 Smartlid.

      Yes that’s good too but it doesn’t have the layers. :)

      @@ConvenientDesiRecipes It didnt looked like layers when scoop on plate.

      Layering just makes sure that you get different colors of rice like white, color, n spicy. If you add in gravy and cook, they all get same color (I.e yellow) then you don’t see a spectrum.

      That’s pulao though not biryani

    Awesome...going to try this as soon as I buy my foodi . Most of the recipes I’ve gone through so far, show raw rice being added to the gravy and cooked( which then becomes a pulao and not a biryani). So glad I finally came across your video which actually shows a layered biryani. Will update comment once I make it. Thanks for posting it.

    After sauting the chicken and onions with all masala. Is it possible to pressure cook both rice and chicken together instead of boiling the rice separately?

      Wasn’t used in this recipe, spice mix has it I think. But you can def add it if you prefer.

  • @minosugarfree

    Defeats the purpose of Ninja Foodi if you have to bowl the rice separately.

    • @ConvenientDesiRecipes
      @ConvenientDesiRecipes  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You have to boil rice separately for biryani. Otherwise it’s a pulao and there are several recipes for pulao on channel. If you want, you can cook rice in the ninja before making the chicken separately.

    Why do you take out the half masala? Maybe you should release a desi Punjabi ninja foodi recipe book 📚 ,sell it on Amazon.

      Yes you can layer it with potatoes, boiled lentils and serve the biryani with boiled sliced eggs on top. Everyone has their own version and this is our traditional one!
