no, the newest restriction is that after der 40min shut off, there are 10mins to wait until you can join again. This started after I updated the PC app - so I went back in Windows to that point before the update - have the older version again, but the 10mins waiting restriction is still there..

What about basic users who joins host with paid plan.. do they disconnect after 40mins while host is still live? or do they just keep on connected since they don't host but join an invite from someone with a paid plan?

1) Buy zoom's paid account plan
2) End the meeting and restart a new one
3) Sign up for a school account (if you're a teacher)

No. Basically you’ll have to restart every 40 minutes. Unless you upgrade to a paid plan. Then it can be 24 hours
Zoom just changed. As from 5th May, there is a 40 minute limit on Free 1-1 classes.

Basic users stil disconnect. For the meeting to go longer. The leader who started the meeting will need the pro version
