- #zoom #tips #hacks Today’s video is all about some of the best zoom tips, tricks and hacks which call for a better zoom meeting experience.
#Tip1: There have been several enhancements to zoom security over the past week and more are coming, so for my first zoom tip, there has been a new security feature added to the zoom meeting controls toolbar.
#Tip2: I want to recommend some of my favorite zoom short cut keys. Hit Cmd+Ctrl+M (PC: Alt+M) to mute everyone on the call at once and if you press those keys again you can unmute everybody.
#Tip3: One of the simplest yet most important tips when you are taking part in a meeting has to do with repositioning your laptop or Ipad to slightly above eye level. You can use a stack of books.
#Tip4: One of my favorite settings is Allow participants to join the meeting before the host arrives. Then the meeting is less dependent on you being there on time as the host.
#Tip5: Zoom virtual backgrounds is a great feature that allows you to display an image or video as your background during a Zoom Meeting.
#Tip6: Hide Floating meeting controls when sharing your screen
#Tip7: Use the New share and pause share feature during a screen share.
#Tip8: Breakout rooms is incredibly useful when teaching large groups because it allows you to split your groups into smaller teams.

One nitpick: at 4:02, there's a bright window behind you that's forcing the camera to close down, making you nearly invisible. This is a basic no-no. Be sure you have light on your face, not behind it. Otherwise, you've created a beautiful video -- I especially appreciate the breakout room description. Thanks!

Hi is there a way to have the video in HD because on my laptop the meeting screen is very blurred and dark. I tried to see if there were setting to adjust visual but did not see anything. I have taught middle and high school Math and Science and trying to learn as much as possible with educational technology so I can be an effective teacher and prepare my future students for this Information Age and 21st Century Skills

For free users, when participants join a meeting before the host, is that when the 40-minute timer starts? Or does the 40-minute timer start when the host joins the meeting?
It starts when the host joins the meeting.
Backgrounds on Android is now supported. Not sure for older devices
