at 00:53 you can see what I'm pretty sure is a drainage pipe...so I assume when it rains that water is taken from the surrounding area by the drainage system and brought to this "drainage pond"...

I found a bunch of chain pickerel in a puddle about half that size. They had plenty of mosquito fish to eat but still, there was no creek or river around and it was very secluded.

Some of my more favorite fishing holes are places like you show in your videos. I've fished in creeks narrow enough to step across and caught some rather decent sized fish.

I remember back in 1971 we lived in Hannibal MO and the flood of 71 was crazy. me and my little brother was down by the water front and a railroad employee helped me and my brother get a 10 pound carp.

Since you dont need a drag, need to reel in, or cast, I think it would be pretty sweet if you just skipped the pole all together, tie some line on a stick, go out there with your hook, bobber, and hot dogs and get some fish with your stick!

Those types of sunfish show up in lakes that are not stocked. They are probably the toughest of the sunfish family. Growing up we would fish millcreek that runs thru Cincinnati for carp

I could have sworn this was a Warmouth , but looked it up. The turquoise makes it a green sunfish. And some people mistake warmouths for Rockbass or bluegill. Nice I.D. skills.

I always have luck fishing the walmart tropical fish aquarium's.
A chopstick pole with silk thread works great.
There is a creek that has fish near where I live, it will dry up and there will still be fish in some puddles.

It's that pipe... 0:48 It's coming from another water body and spewing the fish in the forest. You can also tell by many clues that a lot more water used to be there...
