Chinamyi herself named Vairamuthu as a sexual harasser and detailed how she had allegedly been asked by the organiser of a programme in Switzerland to "cooperate" with Vairamuthu. She was reportedly asked to visit him in a hotel in Lucerne. When she refused and demanded that they (Chinmayi and her mother) return to India, she was supposedly told that her career was over.
While actors Samantha and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar expressed their support for the #MeToo movement, there was resounding silence from the rest of the Tamil film industry.

As usual very clear articulation, level headed speech by Dr.Shalini. I am a supporter of Dravidian politics but no way I am a supporter of vairamuthu. Making chinmayi's issue a political and casteist one is downright dirty. Hope Chinmayi and other affected ladies get their justice.

Started watching Dr.Shalini's interview for the past two days and appreciate her excellent delivery and knowledge.

Another aspect in her reply is that it is attuned with practical life.
Even though her reply is with much brevity it is compressed with adequate contents to counter each question.
Another impressive aspect is that her reply is always in tune with science with down to earth approach/anecdotes.
She delivers her reply in a calm, mild, dignified way yet in forthright manner with stinging effect. Dr. Shalini's talks are simply electrifying.
It is rare to come across an interview at a very high level of I.Q both to grasp & understand.
But, for her apparent unfathomable knowledge of human psychology this is not possible.

No. I wish I had downloaded. I tweeted the link at night and next morning I went and looked at my tweet and clicked on the link - saw that video was unavailable. I suspected these guys were going to edit, and bang they edited out the question of this scoundrel. Listen the part where Shalin says that these things are not by birth and so on. That statement was in response to the question these paragons virtue edited out.

I’m not supporting the anchor but it’s an anchoring technique called “PROBING” to bring the best out from the person being interviewed. If both sit and talk against Vairamuthu then it is not called interview; it will be called collective ‘Accusing’. Anchor acts like”Devil’s advocate” to bring more information, more ideas, more thoughts, more views, etc.
