I know you get told this at every Xmas dinner, but you guys look so alike 👍😆 The music was absolutely sublime in this upload. I thought you had a nice little 3 axis gimbal ?
Great video. I can tell y’all are cousins. He only slightly burned the bread. It is nice having someone else cook on trips. Gives you a break to kick back and relax.
Love your videos and adventures Scotty! You should do a giveaway where one lucky subscriber can win a weekend away with you camping! I'd love to go on a trip with you man!
If he did that he wld get these scammers like l have done who come on his site saying to text this certain numb to claim your prize. Lucky l have brains but some ppl don't. Ruins it these scammer turkeys.
Awesome! Teaching your cousin things and places he'll never forget...and good use of those snakes to keep the tourist masses away from Australia!! 😆 Thank you, Scotty, for being my Aussie backwoods tour guide! 👍😎🇨🇦🦘🍹
There's a business opportunity in taking newbies out. A lot of people want to do what you do but don't know the gear, nav, or even just know where to start. Where do they go? Its that initial step of getting out there that scares or just stops people. I know in hunting there are a lot of businesses that will help new people. Although there is unlike America a strong resistance to taking people to areas where they can find game. People would appreciate going out with somebody and showing them where, what, when , why and how.
I could listen to that birdsong all day long! I honestly hate it when others campers feel the need to listen to music when they camp. I just want to hear the sounds of nature and relax
OMG I can’t express how much I enjoy your videos. Your cousin was lovely and for his first experience he did extremely well. As ever the scenery was awesome and the whole thing was an absolute joy and has set me up for the day. Thank you so much. Take care, be safe. ❤️ Dorset, UK
Adored watching this experience. After moving to Tasmania 18 months ago from Sydney, you've just taken me back to that amazing NSW landscape that I've been missing. Thanks Scotty!
Another brilliant video. This river would be great for lilo-ing (that is floating down the river on an inflatable air mattress). Apparently easier than walking/wading through the water :)
Mate your videos are seriously epic! There's heaps of tubers these days and each has their own gift but your videos just speak volumes of an Australian bush adventure. Loved this one, as usual.... Cheers for all the hard work to bring us such quality viewing.
Absolutely brilliant video well done to your cousin on his first wildcamp and fire starting what a stunning place that is scotty thanks for sharing mate atvb Jimmy 😎😎👍👍
hi Scotty, it's pretty tuff going down the gorge with a foot or two water in the river, you'll be back there to finish what ya started I'm sure.. your hooked as I was and still are..wait till the water drops thou, a bit further down from the turn back spot look for the 2 tree ferns on the left..there guarding the slot canyon, I'm sure you'll like it and your viewers , many people would love to see these places but can't for all sorts of reasons and you showing them is giving something special so I take my hat off to you. take someone with you diwn there and keep the camera rolling, cheers dougy.
Thanks heaps for the tip mate. I'll defiantly be heading back, either with a packrat if the river is up, or walking it if the river drops, so I'll keep an eye out for the tree ferns. Cheers
I love wild camping and I’m looking for less crowded places to go, this seems absolutely serene, can’t say I’ve ever seen anything like this in Victoria, is it in tassie? And where?
I love watching all these gorgeous spots you take us to Scotty. I used to hike and camp when I was much younger but it's not something I can do these days. I had always wanted to camp in a cave but sadly that never happened, and isn't like to now. I think that Ryan enjoyed himself, even if he was worn out, I think it was a "good tired". So perhaps you may have company again some time soon.
East Java Indonesia here, the landscape so amazing we have same here but the rock cliff full of moss and bush plant, and the river is clear here maybe different soil here... iam so enjoy watching your video Sir
Totally slay me with those misty morning shots. If you weren’t a hiker before watching this video, you would be afterwards. Beautiful shots and beautiful moments teaching the cousin a few new skills👌🏻
awesome video, thanks for sharing your adventure. wonderful of you to introduce your cousin to the real outdoors; and what a good sport Ryan is. Be well
Great adventure, great scenery, I recently started documenting my own adventures, I love this direction. Good luck on your adventures. Greetings from a Belarusian tourist! ✌️
Wow, gorgeous. At first glance I thought it was somewhere in Utah. When I finally visit Australia, I will definitely seek this land out. There are a couple of rivers here in California where the track is through the river itself, so I love these types of hikes.
Greetings from a Wisconsin subscriber! Very nice hiking/camping adventure with your cousin, who resembles you. He really did well for a first time bush hiker. Looks like he can cook up a very tasty meal. The morning bacon and toasted bread really looked good. Beautiful caves and geography. I was thinking maybe crocs would be good to wear when doing all that river walking, but then again, when you sink into the sand, it might just pull them right off. Watch out for those Yowies, which we call Big Foot or Sasquatch here in the states. Great video, really enjoyed it.
Love watching your videos mate. Got me out exploring our beautiful country. I know you like to keep these locations private, but I'm wondering if you could maybe do a video on how you scout a location to go to? Landmarks you look for on the topo maps, where you local for local rules or TOBAN restrictions, etc. Cheers mate! Looking forward to the next video! Yew!
Did quite a few backpacking ventures up to 3 and half weeks in the Kimberley. Very special experiences. Took my bro on his 1st trekking trips. He acclimatised rapidly. To start a fire I used dried Spinifex. Only needed one good spark and its flaming. Sensational to know wilderness exists on Sydney's doorstep.
Can ya feel the Tranquillity cuz? Bloody beautiful video! Thanks for sharing for those of us no longer able to get out there. What a special gift you gave him, the teaching of skills, along with awesome memories made. Noice one mate!
Oh the envy! I'd love to join in for a weekend... would have to fly from Sweden first though. But next time in Australia, I'd love to join. 😀 Understandable if you don't want unknown joining in though. 😜
I’d love to do a hiking/camping trip like that, so bloody awesome Scotty, so great the food you cooked while middle of nowhere, thanks for sharing buddy
You know everyone out here wants to be you. You Sir are a legend. I NEED more words....AMAZING..BEAUTIFUL..EPIC...just don't say enough!!! SUPERCALIFRAGILISTIC. 10000% AMAZING!!!!
Hello guy! Amazing video and view, I really like your videos adventure camping. There are some point make me fell in love with your video such as rack, waterfall, trees, mountain and delicious food made by you. When I watch your video make feel better with the wonderful view. Thank you brother for sharing the video from your country to people in worldwide. Love you from Cambodia.
Thanks Scotty for always pushing Leave No Trace/minimal impact bushwalking. Interestingly though more than a few historical bushfires in Tasmania are said to have been started from errant attempts by people trying to burn toilet paper. Our peat soils can be tricky to extinguish once they’re alight and going, this along with the painfully slow regeneration of alpine areas are the rationale behind much of Tassie’s wilderness being designated Fuel Stove Only since the early 1980s. Better to bury the TP deep or pack it out…. Preferably with your No. 2s too ;-) (necessary in some areas).
I've been an avid camper for years and have tried various grills, but I must say, my experience with Asmoke has been a total game-changer. My previous Traeger didn't offer the same level of temperature control and the battery life was a constant issue. Asmoke's portable pellet grill, on the other hand, offers precise temperature control within 5°F which is fantastic for grilling in the wild. Plus, it's battery-powered, so no need to worry about finding a power source. The wood pellets add a smoky flavor that really elevates my meals. And the best part? It's lightweight and easy to carry, making it perfect for camping. It truly has transformed my outdoor cooking experience. #Asmoke
I wonder if it would be possible to bring a couple inner tubes with gear in dry sacks and tie them to a nice flat floatie, and float down river lying down on your back…then hike back out.
0:23 Was that a yellow bellied black snake sleeping on a red rock waiting for the stranger to go? ok, maybe an old reference. Beautiful country anyway.
looks like you've got yourself a stunt double :D haha, amazing videos as always scotty! love your work mate, how blood cool is it to show someone how to start a fire with flint a steel. you take it for granted yourself sometimes though seeing someone new do it at seeing how it makes them feel, god it makes this life style worth it! such an amazing time!
Awesome spot Scotty. Last weekend I did a tough overnight hike with a follower that reached out in the same week, it was risky but what fun we had and a new friend was made, you should try it with your followers.
Scotty love your videos and i love taking my friends camping or hiking for the first time just feed of there excitement your videos are top class keep it up look forward to more with your dog i know its hard to find a place i got a pure bred koolie and your pup is so nice keep up the good work brother
What a magical place! You Australians are blessed with some of the most amazing landscapes. Really cool to see you and your cousin, Ryan. I'm sure you've mentioned it before, but what is that pack Ryan used?
G'day Scotty, Ryan, very cool guys. Good on ya for having a crack Ryan, If that lot doesn't bring you back for another go, dunno what will. Better than a gym machine workout too I reckon. Cheers Duke.
True terror was scaring a black snake off a track once and seeing it slide into a river and just float under the surface ... when you realise they can swim it definitely makes you more cautious in the water. Hopefully you carry a snake bite kit Scotty. 🐍
Nice to see you with a newbie! I enjoyed watching the trek, the sights and the food. I enjoy your videos very much I don't think I'll ever make it to Australia so it's cool to see it through your eyes Scott. Cheers from Canada

Great video. I can tell y’all are cousins. He only slightly burned the bread. It is nice having someone else cook on trips. Gives you a break to kick back and relax.
I like the honesty from your cousin, a first hike seems tougher than I expected, now I know what I’m up for 😅
Love your videos and adventures Scotty! You should do a giveaway where one lucky subscriber can win a weekend away with you camping! I'd love to go on a trip with you man!

He'd be a great guide ! really off the beaten track, magic locations.
@@lilvalentine545 Completely agree! Would be a once in a lifetime opportunity to go out with him.
Awesome! Teaching your cousin things and places he'll never forget...and good use of those snakes to keep the tourist masses away from Australia!! 😆 Thank you, Scotty, for being my Aussie backwoods tour guide! 👍😎🇨🇦🦘🍹
Well done Scotty. Very interesting video with your cousin and breathtaking scenery as usual. Cheers to you both.
Bushcraft is about always learning Thanks for the lesson Kevin NZ
Australia is such a beatiful place. Thanks for the video!
Good stuff Scotty, as someone who has both been a newbie and hiked with newbies people often underestimate just how tough walking can be

I love how into it your cousin is and it's so nice seeing you teaching him the ways of the bush. Loved this one so much!
I could listen to that birdsong all day long! I honestly hate it when others campers feel the need to listen to music when they camp. I just want to hear the sounds of nature and relax

Great video Scotty. Your videos are epic man. Glad you took someone with you. Look forward to the next one.
Absolutely spectacular! Very serene and tranquil! The perfect music for your trip! Respect from Arizona!
Scotty your episodes get better all the time. Great to see you enjoying the Australian bush so much.
Another brilliant video. This river would be great for lilo-ing (that is floating down the river on an inflatable air mattress). Apparently easier than walking/wading through the water :)

Fabulous trip and video, you guys travel in some style 😊
Walking through water was fine for the first four hours…yeah, heh, heh…. Nice hike and camping trip. Thanks again, Scotty.
The outback is beautiful, really enjoyed seeing your cousin go along for the hike and overnighter.
It’s not the Outback it’s the bush, Sydney is not far away just down the road a bit..
Scotty, I think I would have floated that river on a tube and had a second tube for my pack. Just deflate the tubes and stow them for the hike out.
Did quite a few backpacking ventures up to 3 and half weeks in the Kimberley. Very special experiences. Took my bro on his 1st trekking trips. He acclimatised rapidly. To start a fire I used dried Spinifex. Only needed one good spark and its flaming.

ps your cousin is hilarious dude! what a legend what a top bloke!
As a Pom living in the States I really enjoyed this. I'm assuming that when the cameras stop at night they mostly talk about cheating at cricket 😉
This made me laugh and I'm an Aussie! Great joke mate.
Loved seeing the new areas of gorge. It seem your Cuz was enjoying the challenge too
Lucky lads , what an awesome place. Absolutely beautiful.

Looks like the Tasmanian Tiger Raid Pack Mk III
He normally lists everything in the description with links too 👍
Sydney sandstone
G'day Scotty, Ryan, very cool guys. Good on ya for having a crack Ryan, If that lot doesn't bring you back for another go, dunno what will. Better than a gym machine workout too I reckon. Cheers Duke.
City slickers meet the bush least he’s giving it a go this needs to be taught in all school across Australia
True terror was scaring a black snake off a track once and seeing it slide into a river and just float under the surface ... when you realise they can swim it definitely makes you more cautious in the water. Hopefully you carry a snake bite kit Scotty. 🐍
First go success on the flint and steel. Excellent. Took me forever, but so satisfying once you get it.
Great content and I really envy you guys to have access to such beautiful places to hike and camp. Thanks for sharing!
Nice to see you with a newbie! I enjoyed watching the trek, the sights and the food. I enjoy your videos very much I don't think I'll ever make it to Australia so it's cool to see it through your eyes Scott. Cheers from Canada
