Robert greene books do oftentimes contain decent knowledge & wisdom but are plagued by pseudo intellectual archetypes & manipulation tactics that an overwhelming majority of the population do not possess the intelligence, experience nor finesse to execute properly. If the average man took his advice at face value they would go absolutely nowhere in life & will do more harm to their chances of finding what they want than any good whatsoever.
Eh, depends on how you define "wisdom." Robert Greene's biggest weakness is that he is making pop-psychology or pop-sociology books. He's not an expert in any of his books: he's not an expert seducer, a powerful man, or even a leader in his field. He's not even a professor or researcher at any universtiy, nor has he shown that any of his theories have any merit. He literally writes books with a catchy title, over repeats himself in the books, and the best parts of his books are not what he says, but what the people he writes about, like historical figures or better known authors. Greene rarely, if ever, add anything of value to the historical stories. He pretends to know motivations and thoughts of historical people that are long dead. Any historian will tell you Greene is doing is bad historical research, bad conclusions without proper evidence.

I think the art of seduction is not a book to learn how to love others, if anything I think the opposite. it is to be used to be most liked by everyone. You don't use these manipulation tactics on people you love that is heartless on it self. However lets say your only goal is to gain power, and learn how to get people to like you more, even if you are being a little fake, then by theory this book will do you wonders.
