Wow what a comprehensive video! So much to do and see in Barbados- many people (myself included) forget that the Caribbean islands have so much more than the beach. The history, culture, cuisine are extensive and unique. The tours you have been on look amazing - will be adding Barbados to my list now!
It appears you two really enjoyed Barbados. Can't wait to see your St. Lucia videos, I went about 6 years ago. It was a short trip, a bit expensive but I enjoyed it. It is very green and beautiful and till this date, some of the best sunsets I have ever seen! 🌅
Love all your video's, very laid back vibes which i enjoy watching. Love you to do England, Scotland, and wales, some stunning scenery there. Congrats on 400k subscribers. 👍x
Barbados was also one of my fave islands in the Caribbean. I have a fond memory of going to a popular nightlife area called The Gap. Some really nice restaurants along the boardwalk there. Went for dinner at a popular, fancy place. Place was bustling and had to wait for a table so we ordered some drinks and sat at the bar. Some local gent was waiting for his take-out and started chatting with us. He seemed extremely friendly, and we were sure he was going to try to sell us something or swindle us. He got his order and wished us well and was on his way. When i asked for the bill to pay for our drinks, the bartender informed us that the friendly local had paid for our drinks! Friendly island, indeed!
I rented a home for 1 month on the south end of Bathseba back in 1999 to surf with friends. Explored the whole island. Amazing place with such friendly people. The north coast with its rural beauty. Ostin's Fish Fry on the South Coast. Partying at the Harbor Lights and Boat Yard each week.
Hiya Chris and Carol. Gorgeous intro as always. Wow, great capture of the lightning. Even on a cloudy day. Gorgeous. Spicy sauce. Lol. Love how you both tried it. Great experience going on the Rum tour. I bet you felt so chilled after that. 😁Good vibes. Gorgeous tour around. Perfect tunes. Love the market. Great video. Thank you for sharing.
i was in Barbados once in 1982 at age 25. Visited Crane Beach for an afternoon. The waves were huge and fun but also scary. I think I temporarily lost my bathing suit during one wave crash. It was a blast and I lived to tell the tale. Now I can travel the world watching your lovely videos.
Really Great video, Thank You so much! I was just in Jamaica 🇯🇲 for 3 weeks and have to say the hurricane season is Great , usually only 30 min showers and mostly sunny days minimum 31-34 degrees Celsius! Very interesting to see Barbados and your opinions about it, will definitely have to visit! I’m equally excited about your trip to St Lucia! Sometimes I wish you were spending longer time at each place, one week is not enough! But nevertheless, your videos are the Best, Cheers 🍻🍻
We absolutely love Barbados too. You should put Speightstown on your radar when you go back. Also Hunter’s gardens and Earthworks pottery. Barbados is magical❤❤❤❤
You have enticed me with food,I plan to prepare some fish and rice with beans is a good idea!I will try😊Judging by the look on your faces, the rum tasting was a powerful experience! The footage of the underwater world is amazing, especially the stingrays and barracudas in the shallows.A beautiful island indeed!👍
What’s been so great, is that my son is travelling alone in south east Asia and I can follow where he goes and make suggestions by watching your videos. I find it really helpful and grounding. I also have lots of inspiration for myself ❤
Hola .. a note::when in Barbados we visited the Universityof the West Indies English dept and bought a few books of poetry to support local authors .. students were happy to greet us on the campus ..have a Banks on me Chris .. best to you both ….saludos inmensos cheers ❤️🙋🏼♂️🙋♀️🇨🇦
Next time you go back, i highly recommend checking out the area called Freight's Bay. Lots of nice rentals, in a very nice area, with a mix of locals and foreign visitors. There is a fantastic little surfing spot there that is known for having lots of sea turtles. We had the pleasure of surfing with a few of them when we were there. It's definitely a spot worth staying long-term. I also loved Bathsheba for a long-term stay, but the sea at Freight's is a bit more friendly for less experienced surfers. If you don't mind driving to a surf spot, Bathsheba works, but staying at Freight's means being able to just walk to the surf.
Chris and Carol.... Another great video... I have friends that have been going to Barbados for many years... They LOVE the place... it appears you and Carol too! Have fun! Gotta love the Rum!!
Another beautiful video, the dances were cool as well as the beaches, you have to visit the Harrison Cave on your next visit to Barbados , it’s amazing.
We also love Barbados, been twice and will be back. Yes, the roads/potholes are bad and we aren’t used to driving on the left. We just love that in addition to the beautiful beaches, there is so much to see and do, the east coast is so wild and beautiful!! Next time check out the Animal Flower Cave if you can.
we were planning to go there after visiting the distillery but we found out it closes around 4 p.m and also the weather was bad, we will go there next time for sure :D
i remember orange colored cork bottled rum in barbados that tasted like a fruit drink. the culture, history, varied landscape makes barbados a really fun place. glad you are enjoying and sharing.
400K Subs!!! Congrats Chris and Carol!!! 🎊 Also, how are you able to swim with the Barracudas, I'd be terrified haha Thank you again for the wonderful video of Barbados! Cheers from NYC!
Thanks you guys so much for your new remarkable video today’s from Bridgeport, Barbados to shows this amazing beaches in the Caribbean September of 2024❤❤❤
Wow what a beautiful area. Food looks delicious, besides the flies sharing it with you 😂🪰🪰🪰LOL I love Pina Colada, it has white rum in it I believe 🍹Bridgetown looked very nice and vibrant. Looking forward to the next video, take care you two 💗💗
You guys actually lucked out (maybe strategic😂) avoiding the current Gulf hurricane. And that Zander kid died surfing in a hurricane, I remember reading about it.
Welcome to Bridgeport, Barbados this week to tours @ this amazing beaches in great joy in the Caribbean❤❤❤I wish you guys safe journeys always in peace 2024❤❤❤
Crane Beach is the beach of the famous Crane Hotel which is on the cliff you were looking up at. That building hanging over the rocks is a beautiful restaurant with a nice beach view and good food.
Hello, Barbados is a very beautiful country and this country has beautiful places, I love Barbados🇧🇧🇧🇧🇧🇧💖💖💖💖, and my country Georgia🇬🇪🇬🇪🇬🇪💖💖💖💖. This comment is from Georgia🇬🇪🇬🇪🇬🇪
I recommend that you visit the Island of Grenada.... Lovely white sand beaches , Grand Anse beach being the best of them all lovely waterfalls, tasty food and warm friendly people. Grenada the Isle of Spice an experience to die for
Just to let the bloggers and audience know that the beaches and island are MUCH quieter and prices a little cheaper in the off season like now (April 16 - December 14). Might I suggest that when you visit islands like this, video at lest one tour with a knowledgeable local or guide, so they can fill in your lack of knowledge about things, so the information given to your viewers is more accurate
Is Anguilla on the schedule? They seem to have beautiful beaches and not a lot of tourists. Congratulations on your well deserved and hard earned 400k subscribers.
That surf spot that you guys were standing at during the start of the video is called Soup Bowl, it’s one of the best breaks in the world when it’s on. The world surf league has a qualifying series event there.
Had a superb night at Pat Baileys BBQ in Oistins with a crowd of locals, Brits and visitors from afar back in 08. Been to Barbados a few times, love the place. Great vlog.
i was surprised how many brits there were in barbados, the large majority are from there. When we go to the other english speaking caribbean islands it is mainly north americans and just a few brits.
@@JumpingPlaces Loads of Canadian too. The Brits we met would go out for the entire winter. You're off to St Lucia next? Another fantastic island. The Friday fish fry near Anse La Raye was also excellent. Enjoy amigos
@domainpark4421 i doubt it is only because of that, there are plenty of more expensive islands in this region that we have been to and the majority of visitors are from other countries
@@JumpingPlaces you’re correct, it’s not because of the price. It’s the historical connection. Barbados was the Brits’ military and power base in the Americas during their earliest forays to colonize other places, like Jamaica and the Carolinas and take over other Caribbean islands from the French and Spanish. That strong historical connection as their first regional HQ or base that led to it being also called ‘Little England’. That’s why we still have more British people here than other islands.
I was there in 97 and I remember walking home from a night out when a guy asked to borrow my lighter and promptly used it to light his crack pipe! By Caribbean standards it is pretty safe though.
Thanks you guys for your new remarkable video today’s from Bridgeport, Barbados this week from the Caribbean in September of 2024❤❤❤I wish you guys safe journeys in peace 2024❤❤❤
Prices depend on the season. Also beaches on east coast are isolated because they are dangerous for swimmers. West and South coast beaches are calmer. Also areas where most hotels are located.
When you do a few suggestions: race course garisson early morning to catch the training and combine with horses daily swim at pebbles beach, bottom bay is in my opinion the most beautiful beach, st nicholas abbey, the flower forest, andromeda gardens, evening cruise with Silver moon. You lucky people! Sadly at 62 health issues are preventing me travelling now. We had to cancel our yearly trip in May. It breaks my heart that I may now never return to Barbados. Thank you for you films which are excellent. So well paced and relaxed. They allow me to travel in my mind. Thank you. Regards from UK.
Have you visited st Lucia? Home country of Julien Alfred, fastest woman in the world? St Lucia, currently holds the title of the Honeymoon Destination of the Caribbean. Beautiful Barbados. Haven't been there in years. The sea is amazing . The island is close to the equator. It can get pretty hot in the Summer 🌞🏝️

Congratulations Chris and Carol on 400k. You both deserve it. Great content.👍😊🏆👏 🎉

Barbados is now top of my list....really looks great, I expected it to be more commercialised and much more expensive.
yeah we thought it would be more commercialized also, i imagine there is a resort area somewhere? didn't really see it in the places we went though
