Hi, Agree with you St Lucia is truly a beautiful island. My parents were born in Castries, St Lucia and they emigrated to the UK, London during the late 1950's. My father was a skilled tailor and carpenter, so his skills were in great demand. I was born in the UK in 1961 and have visited St Lucia 2 times spending a total time of 5 months and 2 weeks there. My experience in St Lucia is like no other. The 2 best places in the world I love (believe it or not) is St Lucia and Scotland Highlands UK. Nice to see you in St Lucia Soufriere is my favourite place in St Lucia. I love the cool rainforest, jungle climate and beauty of this side of the island, including the majestic pitons of which I have climbed. You will get a spectacular view from the top of the pitons and on the way up, giving you different viewpoints. I have climbed it both in the Low & High seasons. Some may find it too hot to climb, but it is cooler once you reach the top. You should try and climb mount Gimie. It is around 3,145 feet. What an amazing experience I had there. Watch out for the fer-de-lance snakes. Just one bite from them and you have had it. Always use a guide when visiting these places of danger. The Diamond falls and sulphur spring volcano are worth a visit. Don't forget to visit the other side of the island at the Rump beach (also called splash beach). The beach has golden white sands and crystal clear waters. The beaches in Soufriere is as clear but is very deep, so you don't really appreciate clarity until you snorkel or scuba dive. Thanks for sharing.
@@JumpingPlaces If you can. Take a scuba dive from Anse Chasnet resort dive centre. It is a breath taking dive. You will be diving right next to the pitons and you will really see how deep the pitons are
St. Lucia is truly a gem. I'm from the Caribbean and I visited St. Lucia for the first time in March 2024. I've been longing to return ever since I really hope that you guys got to visit Fort Rodney. It's a remarkable view
I'm from the Caribbean also and when we visited I felt like we were in heaven. Planned another trip but covid came and ruined all our plans. We're yet to visit again
St. Lucia is undoubtedly THE most beautiful island, not only in the Caribbean but THE WORLD! Actually, a few years ago Oprah's magazine named the island as the number one place to visit before you die. You have done an amazing video but you are only scratching the surface because you are yet to touch the rich culture and history.
St Lucia is uniquely beautiful. I mean where else on earth can you find twin peaks within three miles of each other. I can't say it's the most beautiful island in the world but I have been to almost all the Caribbean islands and it's definitely the most beautiful in the Caribbean and maybe the Americas.
Guys the Gros piton hike is intense but for people of your size and youth you can easily climb it in like an hour with moderate effort. It only gets intense for the last 100 yards.
Went to St. Lucia in early 2020. It was stunning. My son and I stayed at Marigot Bay resort. The kyak trip to the mangrove lagoon was a highlight. We returned home just in time for the lockdown!!
@@whirltraveller1350October uncle lol. Jounen creole is last day in October. We just had it Sunday past....carnival is also a good time and make sure to take in the Friday night street party at Gros Islet
We love St Lucia. We did a boat trip from Rodney Bay to Petite Piton that was amazing. The snorkeling at Sugar Beach was awesome. You would also like Dominica as well. The nature is amazing there.
So glad to see that in the last 20 years its still looking mostly untouched and still so naturally beautiful.i want it to be the same as when i left it and it looks the same magic place
Used to LOVE the noise of all the insects after the first few nights its like a strange meditation....and the thousands of crabs all clickings and going in and out of holes on the beach at sunset...one very distinct memory me and my dad were on the beach walking adventuring away from where my family were plotted up...randomly started walking through trees and ended up randomly finding a waterfall..not a tourist place just a random natural waterfall i couldnt believe it..and yes it was beautiful...sigh...oh st lucia 😂

Yes, it's probably the most beautiful island in the carribean because of the lush landscape and the infrastructure. Also, you will find beautiful beaches. I was there a few years ago, on the north side, and visited all the island. Beautiful video (as always). Enjoy your stay.
we need to visit the north side next time we come, the pitons definitely make the landscapes extra spectacular. not sure if you have anything like them anywhere else in the caribbean
Brings back so many memories. I spent 2 weeks in Soufriere and Malgretoute beach was my favourite. Cheap sunbeds for the day and good snorkeling right in front of. The paradise resort there played country music as well which really surprised me. Loved st Lucia
St. Lucia has been a bastion of country music from my youth. They even had a successful Country Festival with some big stars in the mid nineties. Regrettably, it was not repeated, but their jazz festival has evolved and expanded and is worth attending. Santana was there the year he won his slew of Grammies.
Your ability to navigate the Caribbean during hurricane season is straight up Pro. Great video as usual guys ❤. Definitely seems like a clone of the Philippines with a different culture.
These landscapes are very beautiful! Especially the pointed peaks look like some island from French Polynesia! 🏝️ So much greenery combined with turquoise blue waters - it's marvelous! 👌 Tropical vibes! 🌴🌴🌴
I hiked the Gros Piton in 2022 it's a lot of verticality and takes 2.5 hours to get up and the same down. It's definitely worth the view. I stayed at Caille Blanc villa and I had a view of both Pitons.
I was there when I was a kid we went to the volcano hot springs very cool but the sulfur smell was strong. It's one of the prettiest islands. They also filmed Dr Doolittle there the original movie
There's a posh restaurant on the mountaintop overlooking the main harbor (can't remember the name of the town) that used to be the residence of the British governor in the 1800s. Very cool place. St Lucia was an important naval base for the British due to its proximity to Martinique, which was the main French base in the Caribbean. The British basically used Saint Lucia to spy on French movements.
Stunning scenery. You guys always do a great job of showing all the different attractions and beaches, as well as the costs, which is so useful. Thanks!
St. Lucia is called the Hawaii of the Caribbean! We went in 2015, stayed in the north part of the island but did a day tour of the south . We climbed the Gros Piton, took us over an hours hiking up and longer coming down. Carole was right it looks hard but it’s definitely doable & worth the hike. It would be an easy hike for you both after the treks that you did in Cusco and Machu Pichu…those look much tougher. Great video…5 stars indeed!
I love Soufriere! Beautiful landscapes and nature. You can get free transportation back to your car at Sugar Beach if you dine there. The local breakfast is so delicious. If you walk along the shore of Malgretoute Beach you will find beautiful colorful rocks. My favorite places are: Sapphire Falls, Sulphur Springs, Tet Paul, New Jerusalem Mineral Baths, Piton Falls, lunch at Jade Mountain, and Project Chocolate. Which AirBnB did you stay at?
a truly special place :D. Yes they include that if you dine there but the problem is that their prices are just as high as their sunbed prices haha, 50-70 dollars for 1 plate for 1 person. we actually saw many of their guests getting local food being brought from town by the little boats
My favorite Caribbean island. On a cruise, I overslept and missed going right by the Pitons on our way to Castries. The climax scene of a historical mystery I've been writing for years takes place just under the Pitons, essentially Sugar Beach (a lot of the story is also on Barbados). Great stuff as always, Chris and Carol. I think you guys would like Madeira, though not really a beach destination.

Been to St. Lucia twice and didn't see as much as you two did. I enjoy watching your adventures and appreciate your style of videos. We are trying to do some travel videos too, but not ready to do the travel full time. Keep up the great videos!! Can't wait to see your next adventure!! All the best Angelique
