Considering the discounts Jimny is now cheaper than Bolero/Neo , Almost same size plus 4x4, Automatic transmission, 6 airbags, Cruise control, Push Button Start, Headlight Washer and many more modern features, it's a perfect car for those adventure seekers who want to stand out of the crowd, I am buying.

Buy now if you want to because once thar 5 door fails which it will definitely jimny will remain the only 4x4 in the 5 door petrol segment.

@@sergiomomos6297 i am jimny owner but bought it at higher price just bcoz of wife bday. But i always wanted a 4x4 petrol at the price it is offered now. The vehicle is amazing but i agree Suzuki messed up with pricing during launch. In HP jimny sells like a cake especially it gives higher fuel efficiency & 4x4 tag is useful for cab operators in peak winter. Thar RWD 5 door will be a hit among pseudo family off roader. Thar just diluted itself.

But, in mountains it's not going to be because of its bulky size.
Also, it will be easily above 20 lacs on road which is almost 2 times that of jimny so cars of that price segment will be impacted.

Highly unlikely it can undercut jimny.
It will definitely impact sales of cretas seltos etc.
I got jimny mt alpha for 11.5 on the road and was more than happy with it as I live in Shimla.
But yes, jimny will be discontinued most probably soon as maruti doesn't sell underperforming cars for long.
I don't think so as the 4x4 ROXX ex showroom price will start from 23.99 lacs .Max sales of ROXX will be the 2WD models.

Ji frankly, speaking it's a Great 4*4 machine ,that proved itself in a situation created by our off road group during off roading on sand .

It will sell if on road is under 10 lacs. Else a wagon r makes more sense. After all only 0.5% use the 4x4. So I guess after Thar Roxx either Jimmy will be discontinued or priced under 10 on road. No other way of surviving here.

@@rohanthakur1618 by highway driving I don’t mean top speed , but thrust of power for overtakes … when you drive in single lane highways especially, you need quick power for overtake, something I found lacking in Jimny

Also, how bad is it? I found it to be marginal as compared to the likes of brezza and the difference is there though to the likes of cretas and seltos.
Anyways anything about 80-90 kmph is too risky in India and I won't recommend it however safe your car is.

It runs well, yes not perfect but does the job.
It is highly stable considering its shape and ladder on frame.

For 11.5 on the road for Alpha mt price is completely justified.
Jimny is not a mass market product and people fail to understand that.
It's a secondary car for enthusiasts and can actually as family car for small families and if you live in mountains or challenging terrain.
The general public living in cities and traffic and average size families would never accept it and they should not.
It's not for them.

@@nyanbemolothanaga48 also , I live in Shimla and mahindra service is bad as comparison to maruti. Maruti has so many dealers for spares and availability is good. They wouldn't have it in stock as jimny is not sold much, but on order it is easily available in 3-4 days.
Also, due to part sharing most of the parts are available.
Finally, jimny spares are easily 20-30% cheaper than thar and in longer run and due to rough road usage it would make a big difference.

@@BilalFirfiray bought it in December 2023 when MSIL was offering discounts in the name of thunder edition. At that time the discount on alpha model was upto 1.25 lakh. In july 2024, discounts were available upto 3.3 lakh something. The same model which i bought for 14.10 lakhs in December 2023 was available for 12 lakhs (on road) in July 2024. Hence a cry 😭 emoji

You have no brain. The 5 door Version is a really reliable, practical and good odfroader.
The Wagon R is a bit more spacious than this Jimny, and I don’t think the 13L price is justified. Not everyone needs a 4x4 vehicle every day. For city and highway commuting, it’s not necessary. Many reviewers hype up the 4x4 capability, but have they ever been to places like Manali, Leh, Ladakh, or other Himalayan regions? People here use even smaller cars like the Alto, which handles just fine without 4x4, and that car is only 800cc. So why spend extra just for the sake of appearances? If it were around 8L, it would be a good deal, but at this price, it’s not worth it.
Absolutely, I agree it's just an overpriced tin can. It's not worth the price or the hype, especially with just a 1.5L engine. Come on!.

I have a wagnr using since 2017, but i booked a jimny in July offer, waiting for its delivery. and your comparison between Wagnr vs Jimny is the most funniest thing i have seen today on internet 🤩 being rich or poor is not completely in our hands , but having a rich mindset is the sexiest thing that anyone can have.
