Back story: The Defense Attorney was cross-examining a witness who kept getting interrupted by the Prosecution’s objections. The witness let out a big spontaneous sigh because he kept getting his testimony stopped. The Defense Attorney snarkily remarked, “Oh you have no idea!” The judge immediately stopped the trial and removed the jury from the room to admonish the Defense Attorney for unprofessional behavior.

A person in a courtroom stating they are "about to catch a whoopin'" is not really a strong defense tactic!
Any judge would hear this as something of a confession.
That same person, who has a history of "over 400 trials" appears to have a history of breaking laws.
That the same goon then claims to be "not sure why" just buries his position!

I wish someone would show this lady a person who is truly a battered spouse or a spouse that is a true abuser. I feel she is causing the whole issue to take a step backwards- now when a woman is TRULY abused people will ignore the issue because of women like this. He cared for her snd his daughter and wanted to be in their life. She took this for granted, she got everything she could from him AND she gets to not have to share custody. She got her cake and if she is found not guilty she will get to eat it too- leaving this man’s true family broken and without him. Shame on her….’abused’ … what a joke

@@AlibumsteadYou’re absolutely right. My dad is a very mentally ill man due to growing up with a violent alcoholic father. It’s sad really and I love my dad very much. However, my mom deserved better than him. He beat the snot out of her and his family coddled and defended him. Still do.
My mom had nowhere to go with us other than my great grandmothers house. She didn’t want to place that much pressure on my mamaw because mamaw was still working at 72 yrs old when she passed. I don’t believe women had as much government help back then as they do now either but it’s still difficult today to leave as well.
Many people adored my dad. Thought my mom was the crazy one because his family all ran her name through the mud allover town. Mom wasn’t perfect but she was pretty darn close.
Dad would hit her in places where it wouldn’t be as visible a lot of the time. She said it wasn’t until later on when he didn’t care about hiding it. One time, she said he dragged her to a back bedroom and she just knew he was going to kill her that time. So, as he was dragging her, she grabbed a knife somehow and she stabbed him in his arm. She actually told me, “I was aiming for his heart.” He still has the scar. I’m certain his friends and family would’ve defended him fiercely had she actually killed him.
She told me early on, he’d make her wear turtlenecks and long sleeves or he’d hit her in the back or side of the head, instead of her face. She said he beat her stomach black and blue when she was pregnant and no one but the doctors knew.
My mom is barely 5 feet tall and dad is 6’4”.
I don’t think we can say for certain whether someone has been abused or not. Only the two involved and God sometimes know that. Usually, the kids know but not always.

The recent case involving Ashley Benefield and the murder of her husband posed several challenges. It was evident that the Defense Attorney’s commentary was inappropriate. Additionally, it is essential to note the demeanor of the two female prosecutors involved in the case were genuinely unbearable! They were disrespectful and overly assertive, lacking in empathy, condescending, discourteous, and manipulative, detracting from the case's professional presentation. Their conduct did not align with the expected standards of professionalism, especially considering the nature of the case. Overall, their approach made the case challenging to watch.
