12:45 the man was asking "do you film everyone?" (he asked 4 times) Maybe he wanted to inform you that some people don't feel ok to be recorded, but he realised that you don't speak hausa, but you could try and start speaking Arabic with them because most Hausa people speak Arabic. بارك الله فيك

Whoever spoke with me in Hausa didn't speak Arabic that well, because they knew I didn't speak Hausa.
      Thanks for the translation.

Masha’Allah I loved seeing this! My husband and I went to Mecca & Medina twice (Hajj and Ummrah) Alhumdulillah! Even though I didn’t go to those parts in this video it’s still nostalgic to me. Just watching I can feel and smell the air of Mecca, I miss it. I loved seeing all brothers and sisters from around the world. The one brother in the video said we’re all brothers, there’s no this or that, that’s true Islam. Thank you for all your great videos! You’re so welcoming and blend seamlessly with the people. Keep up the good work!

I'm Saudi and i have never thought of the term "Afro Saudi". If you are Saudi you are saudi. giving no regards of one's skin color or background. I think it is a blessing.

For the people fighting in comments. Slaves were not only black or African in Arabia before, Some even came from beyond turks land. A whole kingdom (Mamalik: slaves) were former slaves that helped and fought protecting Islamic lands. War between Arab tribes also resulted in slaves capturing. so slavery in Arabia is different; even whiter dude in Arabia today may had in the past a great grandfather who was a slave. So never judge a person because of his color; some black families in Arabia came from a very well known and wealthy African tribes for Hajj/trade and never left, so calling them slaves is not valid and disrespect to of them. (note: most black families in Arabia still have their family/tribe/country names)

::Why are they Blacks in Saudia ? What kind of ignorant question is that? Why are they Saudis in Canada? That's because Allah"s earth is spacious ,and He said that he created nations and tribes to know one another, and not to despise each other, that's why Malik Alsaad! Not as complicated as you may want it to be! The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) was breastfed by a black woman, way before you were born. What country was that in? Troller Ldka, we are Black people, because melanin is the colour black. Every colour is derived from that essential protein, that we cannot survive without, nothing to be ashamed of. Arab is not a race or a skin color, but a culture and a language.
When you meet an Arab, he pays more attention to your language than your skin color. This point is very important. do not forget it.
He is used to seeing all colors, so your color is not new to him, but your language. If you speak Arabic, he considers you an Arab.
The psychological barrier of color is a European and Western reality.

I explain once and once and for all.
If you speak local Arabic without an accent in Egypt or Saudi Arabia or Algeria, for instance, no Egyptian, no Saudi, no Algerian will doubt that you are a foreigner.
But, in France, the Black who speaks French will be perceived as a foreigner because the native Frenchman is not black. They will always ask you the question: what is your origin, even if you were born in France and you have French nationality.
The black American who walks in the streets of France is perceived as an African (born in France or migrant) until he (she) reveals his (her) nationality.

you try to talk about a subject with false elements from your society and your culture. Being Black in America is not the same as being Black in an Arab country. First truth.
A black man in America is a person from elsewhere, from Africa. A black man in an Arab country is not seen by light-skinned Arabs as someone from elsewhere, from an African country, but as an Arab native living on his own land.
Concerning the treatment, in America in France, the black undergoes the clichés and the stereotypes of the whites: bad, stinking, lazy, N...etc. In the Arab countries, the Black is called brother, but never by the color of his skin.
There is another point which is colourism: the white color everywhere in the world is perceived as the best. However, there is hardly any black Arab woman who tries to change the color of her skin, unlike African women either in the West or in Africa who use skin bleaching products.
which proves that black women in the West live in a society that makes their inferiority complex possible, unlike in Arab countries.

      @Maria Smith
Sudan is an Arab country whose inhabitants are all black, so it is not the fault of the white-skinned Arabs but of the colorism conveyed by the media and Western culture. Mauritanians are not white.
I lived and studied in North Africa for 4 years, and I know the Arabs very well and I speak Arabic fluently.
Watching national television channels, and reading the press, I have never read or seen that black people are stigmatized.
there is no political party that is hostile to blacks, in literature too, there is no black theme.
When you say that calling someone black is better, that's your point of view but not that of black Arabs. So, it is subjective. Black Arabs are not connected to Blacks from America or Europe. They have their own codes, their own culture and their own language.
Whether it is Arabs with white skin or black skin, they do not use this language of skin color.
Know that Arabs with white skin do not see themselves as whites; the White, according to them, is the European.
I have never heard the word Abd used by the Arabs I have met. I asked the Algerians, whatever their color, I was informed that this word is not used for the black man.
Remember that the Arabs are not one country. It's a whole world. it goes from Mauritania to Iraq, it's like the space between Portugal and Russia.

Important note: Blacks have not been French for a short time, I remind you that Blacks in France have been French for 400 years, I am talking about Blacks from the Antilles like Guadeloupe, Martinique or French Guyana.
But the Martiniquans, who consider themselves French on their island, will be shocked that they are perceived at first sight as foreigners in the streets of France.
Martiniquans became French citizens long before the Savoyards (Inhabitants de la Savoie, a region in eastern France) and the Niçois (Inhabitant of Nice, a city in the south of France)
