I’m a chippy but still find my self loving your videos! A good craftsman is fascinating to watch, regardless of what they are doing. The thing is, you can tell someone who is an expert in their field, because they make it look easy. When clearly, it isn’t. Keep up the good work. I’ll be releasing carpentry videos soon. Hope I’m even half as good as you 👍🏼
Good evening. I am from Kuwait. Your job is very good, excellent. I hope I have a house in Britain and you can work in it. Anything you have to work in is enough. The work is relaxing while you are together and you are an excellent man. Thank you.
Bang on transformation. You have got your filming, editing and narrating over you work down to a tee, looks v. professional. The video thumbnails are bang on too and stand out on the youtube timeline. Love watching your content, thanks for making the effort to film your work and show the world - not too many tradesman willing to put their neck on the line like you do. Top man, thumbs up.
A lot of work Stu. As a Slater/Plasterer I am gonna have to come down and train you just a teeny wee bit on the render. I would have blocked out the lintel and formed a double Aris with a stick, then float and sponge face and soffit to give nice finish. In return I get to work a week on the brick, and then get taken to one of them old Northern Soul gigs lol
Awesome as usual stu . If it wasn't for watching you I wouldn't get any fresh air 😂😂I'm glad we were in on day two I think I had too much sun on day one
one of those tricky jobs for sure replacing old with new .... I think the boundaries were hard to deal with ref rendering.. I would have opted for a steel bell cast over door as the Upvc option will technically fail before you pack your tools away, however it in real terms aint going to bring the house down just felt compelled to mention .... ref window design my supplier would refuse to include the small openers as they are a bit of an eyesore.
Cracking job the mate. Watching a lot of your videos lately. Your a real grafter, keep up the hard work. Great tradesmen I think. All the best Jamie the plasterer
Subbed I'm a plasterer, roofer, and roughcaster by trade but have done most trades along my travels as a tradesman your quality of vids look great will have a look through your other vids when I get a chance cheers
Cheers mate yeah, sanctimonious pessimistic people with nothing going on in their own lives so they have to pick and try to bring others down that are doing well 👍👍
@@Stucrompton1 That's a bit unfair Stu...I love your videos but this isnt your best work. As others have said the render outside looks really poor and also boarded too close to the hinges on inside. Anyway...I'm sure by your high standards you know this but with the render it's what the customer is willing to pay for I suppose.
How do you go about fixing the frame to the bottom course of bricks if the bricks are hollow, so you drill direct frame anchors in and it splits the brick?
Hi mate I have an garage to render over lbc heaters, what is the best primer to use before scratch coat or is enough just to water down the wall? Cheers
Frame should have been 75mm bigger so bottom course taken out to give i nner floor level to bottom of inner floor and not stepping over door to get out bad mistake
If you buy a house in Britain, the rooms under a hall and a kitchen above two rooms are able to grow up to be needed in the municipality or something, and the way the way is by the meter How much does the building cost approximately per meter. Thank you
Great video Stu, I'm about to have some French doors installed. When the salesman 1st came he measured up and said everything is fine. A few weeks after the same companies surveyor came around and said that there will be a 8cm gap above the door because french doors have a Max height of 220cm. He gave me a few options, saying I could add extra 8cm to the door, use separate pvc or cladding. I'm just wondering which option you think is best as maybe you have come across this before. If you think 8cm is too much for any option and won't look good, let me know please cause I can still cancel.

Lovely job Stu good transformation Big effort putting the video posts out,! Well done mate
good job, I would have like to have seen render cut back above the door and a bell drip fitted, rather than upvc soffit where water will run back!
Would have looked better if you had rendered the window reveals

How do you go about fixing the frame to the bottom course of bricks if the bricks are hollow, so you drill direct frame anchors in and it splits the brick?
When It comes to changing the frames how would you get them out with those ties in the brink work? Would be a nightmare

Stu top work, where's the best place to buy trims and sills in the northwest? Cheers 👍
Eurocell gap , there’s a few

Not if you cut them with recip saw and metal blade
