"After an hour, I figured I was in the wrong theater, but I kept waiting. Because that's the thing about bear attacks, they come when you least expect it." - Dwight Schrute
Lawrence Michael Levine wrote this film, and the lead character of "Allison", specifically for Aubrey. The "April Ludgate" character in Parks & Rec was written specifically for Aubrey. The "Darius" character in Safety Not Guaranteed was written with Aubrey in mind. And the "Brandy" character in The To Do List was written by writer/director Maggie Carey with Aubrey in mind to play the role. Aubrey Plaza is a very unique, special actress and woman. She generates that sort of interest and inspiration in writers. It's long past time for people to start truly recognizing how exceptional she is. And contrary to popular belief, Aubrey has already demonstrated tremendous variety in the roles she's played over her 10-or-so-year-long professional career. This notion that she keeps playing the same sort of character is simply false, ignorant, and unfair. If you like her work, please support her and see this!
I think they are making fun of all the self importance, narcissism, weirdness, certitude, neurosis, self consciousness, pandering, insincerity, mendacity and ego surrounding movie making?
Holy Hell I just finished watching it and it was mind blowing. Aubrey definitely deserves all the awards for this one. Kudos to the team for not making the trailer too revealing because man there were some pretty big plot twists... 9.5/10 for sure.
I just finished watching this film and I must say Aubrey Plaza was brilliant in it. It felt like she wasn't acting at all, she was that good. The story was simple but beautiful and Aubrey was the perfect cast. She deserves something for it

I could watch 2 hours of Aubrey making people feel uncomfortable, sure.
I just watched this twice and I still don't have any idea what this movie is about.
My Pavlovian response immediately said “so you agree you think you’re really pretty”

I feel like a lot of you need to watch her in Legion... Like especially season 2 where her performance is fantastic!
i legit thought this movie was about a group of friends going on a trip only to get diabolically murdered by a legit black bear
