I'm really sorry to hear about your loss. Time does heal, but it takes a long time. Losing both of my folks was pretty hard. I can only imagine losing your husband was far worse. Thank you for all your support. Yes, I treasure every day with Amy as I have no idea how much time we will have together. Life isn't fair. We will do our best to keep up with the videos. Thank you 🙂!!!!!!
Thank you Caroline. In God we trust is not limited to money. Viewers gives us the strength to do things. So we appreciate you watching and commenting. Thank you. 👍
It looks to me like a lot of that 7 quart bowl is really wasted space because the mixing attachments appear to be the same approximate size as those you see for 5 quart mixers. The bowl just comes up higher than the mixing area. It would be interesting to test what volume of batter or dough it can really effectively mix.
Great review & demo of Instant Stand Mixer. I agree on making those parts metal, upgraded whisk & relocating the cord. Perhaps Instant Brand will see this and upgrade the next version. You guys are always so much fun. ♡♡♡ Be well.
well...... as a Chef and as a Technician I can tell every body that it can beat the Kitchen Aid Artisan easy! this sofisticated INSTANT Mixer is really nice in shape, in size, color and power! the plastic base and planetary it takes some ¡uh! but! its really great for the amazing $299.00 US dollars! for me that I know all of the mixer around the market, I can really say that its A GREAT adquisition of a Mixer! its got food grade grease inside the transmision wich is good! not like Kitchen Aid that uses regular gear cheap grease. so.... my rate on this product as a CHEF and TECH is 9.7! good luck !
Thanks for your review, Amy. I like the design (shape) of the mixer, but I don't like those plastic parts, especially the whisk wires being set in plastic. If that plastic breaks, then can a new whisk be purchased? It did well on the tests, but for the price, I think I'd add a bit more to it for a new KitchenAid. Thanks again.
@@EricLearnstoCook Exactly. It's very easy to buy a new KA whisk, but good luck in finding a replacement for some of those other mixers. Speaking of KA, have you seen the new 7 quart mixer in stores there?
Thank you Amy and Eric for this great review! The style has a Star Trek kinda feel to me. I think this 1st model shows they have potential with this design. It’s a great accomplishment that it already performs pretty well! My money would be to go where no mixer has gone before so I’d maybe consider signing on to the Next Generation! Thanks for watching. I think Mr. Sulu scanned KitchenAid's website for refurbed Pro 600/7 cup Food Processor bundle for $279.99 So that's cheaper AND a bowl lift for those that want to knead dough. Plus a food processor you can keep or gift someone. Sounds like a place where no money has gone before.
Hi Amy! Hope you and Eric are doing well. I just recently got a kenwood and I am loving it! It's all thanks to your video on the kenwood that convinced me. I keep on watching your videos over the years and look forward to more.
i am so excited to bring my bread machine out to try your dinner rolls. I havent used it in awhile so perfect excuse. I am getting a stand mixer for Christmas. Its the Tower brand. Model Number: T12033. have an air fryer from them performs well so i trust the brand. It was a blackfriday deal of £60 ($72) . It is meant to be £90 ($108) but goes for much higher on different websites. Max being £110 ($132). I am so excited. I have been binge watching your videos for days now. You and your husband have such great energy. I love it.
Excellent demonstration Amy. I agree with you, that electric cord placement would make me a bit nervous. It would probably get in the way where it is placed now.
I also feel the plastic bits let this down a bit. I like the look of the unit, though. When I first saw the mixing paddle I thought "oh, that's not going to work" but it did a brilliant job. For a first outing it's not bad, especially given the compatibility with Kitchen Aid. I think I would come to hate that control panel, though.
Thank you for this review! Seems to be a decent offering but the digital control panel is a no go for me. The lever control on other mixers is hard to beat for simple and reliable operation. I feel like these digital panels are not durable and multiple touches and hearing all kinds of beeping is something I can do without.
Thank you Amy for this demonstration! I would say to Instant Pot to get rid of plastic and also make a stronger dough hook, I don't know how long this one will last...I would have loved to see the dough coming together though...I agree with you Amy about the cord...and also I would ask Instant Pot to bring out attachments like meat grinder, shredder and slicer, pasta maker and whatever this machine can handle. Once I see that is complete and improved, I will be ready to put my Bosch/Artiste in the garbage and get the Instant Pot to do all my baking, kneading and so on! Until then, my right hand will always be Instant Pot Pressure Cooker only for this brand...thank you again and have an awesome day!
It looks something out of star wars. Not for me. I don't need digital gadgets on a mixer. Love my instant pot max pressure cooker. Thanks for the review .
Thank you Amy and Eric for a great review of this mixer. For me just the terrible sound of the motor is a reason for it to go back to the drawing board.
Hi! I recently got a Kitchenaid Pro 5 Plus and discovered your channel. I was interested to see that in an earlier video you said you're allergic to milk. But in recent videos, you're using cream and milk.... or is it coconut milk? My daughter is allergic to milk so I'm happy to see recipes I can modify for her.
Amy has a milk protein allergy. So anything using "real" cream is for me. She uses almond milk in some recipes and has experimented with coconut cream. She can eat butter since that doesn't have any protein. Others that are allergic to milk may need to stay away from butter. Yes, it is good these days that there are options for those with allergies such as soy, nut products, and coconuts. Not sure what vegan's use, but their recipes should be good for your daughter. How do you like your KA Pro 5 Plus? Thanks for watching, we appreciate it.
@@EricLearnstoCook Yes, my daughter is allergic to casein. :) She's 24 so we are used to living milk-free, but we are always so excited to find others with milk allergies. She's anaphylactic, so no butter or milk products. We are experimenting with oat milk. In the past, we just avoided all substitutes and used water or juice. I love my KA! It's so pretty. I got Empire Red. :) You and your wife are so fun to watch. I'm enjoying your videos.
Im not a mixer scientist, only have one and I use that. I speculate that most mixers except for the cheapest junk will generally do a decent job for a while. Where the higher prices come in is for quality for heavier/frequent use, and support long after sale... spare parts and repair. And of course the bigger and more powerful, the higher the cost. People should look to their intended use, and their intended use over time, and purchase accordingly. This would be ruined probably if it was used by people who dont own it, like in a restaurant, but for occasional users in their own home cheaper build doesnt necessarily mean it wont last.
Okay, I wouldn't purchase this mixer for anybody let alone myself, way too many plastic parts and they digtal dail setting is 100% going to give you nothing but issues if not right away but definitely down the line. My only good thing I can have opinion wise to say is slick design look. So Not Worth The Purchase. Kitchenaid and Bosch all day long just save up your money because this it's it.
Thank you, Amy, for showing us how it works 🙌🏼 Question. I'm wondering why it's not been truly advertised. It's hard to find anywhere but Amazon and Walmart. Any thoughts as to why that could be? Especially since Amazon said that it was released in May 😅😅😅 Thank you for your time ❤❤❤

I found out the attachments for the port fit this brand but not sure about bowls. I might just get this for the size and coordinate attachments between the two 😁
Instant Pot makes a wonderful blender called the Instant Pot Ace. Please make a video of it. It has features like making smoothies, puree, ice crush, ice cream, soy milk, oat milk, nut milk and soup. It will even heat up the soup not with the friction of blades like the Vitamix which should be called Vitablend as they don't make mixers but blenders. We're still waiting for Ninja to make a stand mixer.
@@EricLearnstoCook Hydration of the dough is a very important thing to know when testing a mixer. A stiff dough will tax the machine much more than a loose dough.
Hum, something just occurred to me after I was done watching this video. Is this a left handed mixer? Most tilt head mixers are set up so that the stand is on the user’s left, which makes sense for right handed users who will be holding spatulas in their right hand, so that the head does not impede scrapping the bowl. Of course, this typical setup is annoying for left handed users. But the location of the digital controls for this mixer seems to indicate that the stand will be on the user’s right, not left. I have never seen that done before.
I think you know the answer. Amy had it backwards so you could see her manage the controls (which aren't easy with the digital buttons to operate backwards). So maybe southpaws would unite with this thing?
@@EricLearnstoCook - South paws might very well be interested in this mixer, provided that they discover it exists. I wonder why Instant decided on this atypical configuration.
