About the evil team question, the answer is obviously skull. Do you know how relaxed Guzma is? The other evil teams are organized crime organizations. Team Skull is much more like a family. Guzma is chill as hell, and he’d probably let you use whatever Pokémon you like, while not asking too much from you. edit: typed this before 5:48 lol

I've never played past gen 5, so I can't really give an opinion on Team Skull, but Team Aqua seemed relatively chill to me. More of a chaotic neutral vibe than outright evil. And I wouldn't mind dressing like a vaguely-punk pirate
It would be funny if the only requirement to join team skull is that you must have at least one bug type on your team that you actively use, so you can use a bugginium-z/ z moves.
Strong agree on going in blind! The experience of seeing a brand new pokemon and being like, "Whoa what is this?! What type is it??" is so fun, especially when it suddenly evolves and you have no idea what to expect. It also makes the games harder since you don't know what you'll be facing. Highly recommend everyone give it a try at least once.
I did this with gen 5 as a kid. It was very fun, but for some reason I didn't figure out that Venipede evolved into Whirlipede, so I spent a while trying to catch a wild whirlipede lmao
I never had a fair comparison between playing blind and non-blind. I do feel like playing blind the first time would make the second play through a lot more fun. The first time is seeing new cool pokemon and figuring things out along the way. The second is planning everything out and having a goal while playing through.
I KNOOOOW, it's so hard! At least scarlet and violet completely removed gender locks on outfits and hairstyles, so now it at least boils down to the one singular detail of pronouns now
I’m so glad Home gives you the 3 starters for any given game you connect it to bc the Legend Arceus starters are all amazing and I didn’t want to have to give up using Decidueye and Samurott to use Typhlosion so getting all three of them for connecting to home was a godsend and let me rotate out which ones I used and still have a diverse team since I love having 10-15 play through mons I can rotate through using at any given time
The hardest decision for me will always be picking my fossil! I love the fossil pokémon, and picking Cradily vs Armaldo has always been an especially excruciating decision bc they are both so cool
I'm surprised he didn't say that, the questions he said we're pretty easy since I'm a casual player but the fossils really stump me because there I like the option they give
Currently preparing myself to shiny hunt the Pokémon from the Sail Fossil. The shiny form looks so pretty, and upon obtain the shiny on my newest Playthrough of Y, I will be letting everyone know about it. I’ll be putting it into Pokémon Bank (since the Playthrough I’m already doing is a Starter only Playthrough) so, when I finish the game, and play X, I will be using the shiny in all of its glory, upon being able to get the other fossil, and reviving said fossil. I’ll be nicknaming it “Pretty Aura”, and I’ll be calculating its IV’s like I’m doing with my Starter Playthrough. Currently from that Playthrough, the only known IV’s in all 6 stats, for a single Pokémon is the starter that started the entire Playthrough, my Female Fenniken I named Fire Fox, and when she turned level 20, (after evolving into Braxien at level 16), her IV’s are, in order from HP 27, ATK 9, DEF 14, Sp. ATK 19, Sp. DEF 22 and Speed 12 and she has 510 EV’s in total, with her highest 3 EV’s is 108 in HP and Sp. ATK and 104 in Speed. I can’t wait to be doing this in all of its glory when I finally get a shiny Aurorus. Hopefully, it’s a female (I may or may not got off topic, if I did, I am sorry) Edit: After researching, I have came up with a decision to get a an Aurorus that knows Discharge, which means I’m gonna be needing to do some breeding. This means, instead of doing it by grabbing a fossil, I’ll be needing to catch a Mareep, which means I’ll be needing to level it up a ton, until Level 32, have it evolve, so it’s not that awkward, and then, shiny hunt. I’ll probably make my life easier by having X be a save file so I can do the Masuda Method. It’ll still take an excruciating amount of time, but it’ll be 100% worth it when I get myself the lovely Shiny with Discharge
@@leargamma4912 omg I wish it wasn’t so bad bc I love bug rock!!! It’s srsly such an awesome typing with amazing designs, Crustle is adorable and boss af at the same time
Starters are definitely hard to choose and I find it difficult at times but sometimes I just go with the starter that’s probably not used much or the one that’s popular
In the first six gens I picked Water or Grass starters, specifically Squirtle, Turtwig, Totodile, Snivy, Froakie and Treecko. When Sun and Moon were announced I realized I had never picked the Fire starter before, so I chose Litten and decided I should pick the Fire starter for the next two Gens to make things even. Scorbunny was a very easy pick for Sword and Shield, and I picked Fuecoco for Scarlet and Violet after some consideration. I’m looking forward to the next generation, then I’ll be free to pick whichever one.
Scarlet and Violet was the first Pokémon games I played where I didn't spoil myself on the pokedex before hand It was such a fun experience making my team as I go and seeing new Pokémon for the first time out in the field.
Same! Although I still unfortunately got spoiled on TH-cam 😔 I'm still salty about it. I really wanted to go in completely blind but of course there has to be spoilers everywhere
I felt personally attacked when you asked why i chose team skull. Alola is my favourite region. I like team skulls music, dance moves and causing people trouble sounds fun. Also having and entire abandoned mansion for ourselves sounds awesome
Also their leader is just a troubled guy, not an idiotic ecoterrorist or a genocidal maniac. Easy pick. Team Yell would be a good pick too because of Piers, but Team Yell has the lamest villainous team grunt music, but one of the best villainous team leader themes, IMO.
My hardest decision of all is knowing what game to own 😭 But overall this video was so amazing and funny as always, just glad to see another upload from you :)
Hardest decision when it comes to starters for me is gen 4’s lineup, I love all three, but it also gets especially hard to choose between piplup and chimchar Fire types are rarer in sinnoh but penguin
YES, wow, I'm doing a replay of all the regions, still in Johto but I've been stressing about this exact issue since I started. Water Pokemon are everywhere and theres almost no fire types in those games, but, on the other hand, PENGUIN!
Honestly, in this whole list, the hardest decision for me is easily which version to get. Because it ALWAYS happens where I'll love one box art legendary over the other, but the other version has the exclusives I want. Luckily, that problem is not NEARLY as big a deal as it used to be thanks to the ease of online interactions. Starters sometimes give me a big problem, but usually it's because there's a stage in its evolution line that I don't like that much or something.
The last time I had 2 pokemon of the same typing was Legends Arceus, with Ursaluna and Husian Zoroark but fortunately they don't share any same weaknesses
When I played gen 1 my starter actually did wind up being an hm slave. Blastoise can learn surf and strength and nobody told me that most hms suck. My naivete made me think that just because the moves were mandatory for progression they were probably good, and I never saw the stats of the moves either so onto my starter they went. I also had gyarados who outshined Blastoise so Blastoise kinda wound up only coming out for emergencies. My first pokemon playthrough was a mess.
Incidentally, Surf and Strength are two of the best HM moves to use for combat in Gen 1. An 80-power 100%-accuracy Normal-type move hits almost everything pretty hard. And Surf adds an invincibility-turn, as well as having 95 base-power on top of STAB and using Special. Those said, almost everyone's first playthrough of their first Pokemon game was a mess. That is part of the fun! lol
I would say another super hard decision is if you end up in a double battle/horde battle with two or more different shiny Pokemon. Which one do you take out, knowing that one probably has better IVs than the other?
Honestly if I was stuck to just one starter type. Easy pick water as mudkip is there. Same with being able to fill out my team with grass so easily. I mean every grass starter can be replaced early game by something almost as good Fire types it's a bit more tricky especially pearl and diamond but you can find a suitable replacement by planning it out but the later games give easier options like talonflame and such so that becomes easier with time. Water types yeah every game has great water types but I can make due with ice and water moves on my starter I just like the water types overall the most
Easy access to surf makes it even better. Practically speaking the water type gets a big advantage, there are a few regions where the fire type is just much better though. Typhlosion in johto, infernape in sinnoh, emboar in unova and Delphox in kalos are much better and make a good case to pick the fire type selection
In terms of both Water and Grass type Pokémon, since both are super effective against Rock and Ground types, I end up picking either one or the other, which can be rough because both are starter types. And there are some Pokémon I want to use that are Water and Grass type Pokémon (mainly Water types because of how many there are), yet I end up having to either delay them, or ditch a starter.
Awesome video idea! I’ll answer some of these questions on how I personally play. :) - Starter. I chose my favorite, but if I do a Nuzlocke, I chose the best one suited for the region. - I tried to avoid leaks best I could for Violet. I had zero idea on what the starters evolved into. - How I chose a game usually goes with the box legendary. - I’m on Blue game side. Johto & Alola games are my only red side choices out of those. - I’ll give my starter strong HM moves such as Surf or Fly..but use another Pokemon for moves like cut…like Bibarel haha! - Shiny Pokemon - the Gen 9 sandwich method is incredibly good. I got all Violet shiny paradox within a few searches each.
I usually wait for the evolutions of the starters to be revealed before deciding on which one I’m going with. If I’m going to use my starter throughout the whole game, it has to look at least tolerable to me.
In Gens 7, 8, and 9, there are always two starter Pokémon that end up becoming either Ghost or Dark type upon evolving which is annoying if there’s a Ghost or Dark type Pokémon I already want to use, and also because both types are super effective against the same things. So, I either have to have a Ghost and Dark type Pokémon on the same team, delay the Pokémon I want to use, or ditch a starter.
5:48 good question, I have a few answers: -poison and bug types are adorable, they’re some of my favorite types just behind rock and grass. -team skull has the best drip imo. -nice to not have some big over the top ideology, just general tomfoolery and deliberate mishap-causing. -catchy as hell battle music. -Salandit is precious.
very true, aura guardian. most of these are so hard for me. but i have solutions for some of them that i am satisfied with. so it's a bit easier to make a decision.
I like how you asked what we would pick if we could only buy the red versions or blue versions, because that's literally how I pick every new game. I always pick the blue versions. From gen 3-8, I broke it for Scarlet.
YO AURA GAURDIAN I seen you in TrueGreen7's recent video you did a fantastic job and it was so cool to see what you look like. You're a rad human and I think you're awesome you rock
1:50 most relatable thing on this list. while playing Pokémon platinum I used crobat roserade and tentacruel. I wanted to use gastrodon as water type instead, but then it will clash with my garchomp which I was definitely not getting rid of.
0:07 Only had a hard time choosing in Galar Region. I usually choose the two-legged ones so for this region, I had three choices unlike the other regions where usually I only have two choices because usually, one is four-legged.
7:56 - We also had that issue in the Johto games. And given that, I imagine, most people would have used either Totodile or the Shiny Gyarados, are you going to use three of its move slots for Surf, Whirlpool and Waterfall?
5:11 The answer is very easy here actually, it's Snivy. It would also force me to spend more time outside since it's a Pokémon that needs sunlight and it'll make me way more healthier so yeah.
It's a hard decision to dedicate to a single starte type line. Fire types are probably the least common types of the three to come across in the wild, good Grass types other than starters are always hard to come by, and Water type starters are usually just good or better options than other wayter types.
When I'm planning a team for a playthrough I'm trying to pick the mons I don't usually use. I'm waiting for my White 2 game in the mail and I plan on using Braviary and Conkeldurr.
Scarlet and Violet are so easy to grind that I've used a super effective team against each boss fight. So the repeating type was a good thing for me. It also allowed me to use Pokemon I skipped to match the level of the opponent.
If I had to pick one Pokémon for real life? I'm probably going with Arcanine. I love dogs and have a service dog in real life, so that be a cool huge fluffy service dog to have. Its large enough to ride and runs fast which is great cause I can't drive due to disabilities. Its very loyal and powerful so I feel safe with it and Im always cold so a large fluffy fire type is great to have around.
Super late, but I just had the realization that I in fact do pick my Pokémon games based on the color. I’m attracted to blue and I have all of the ones highlighted in 6:31. I am flabbergasted that I did not realize this before, I’ve never had a valid reason as to why I had this preference
if i can choose a pokemon in real life i woukd go with shinx. its a big cat pet with electricity. and for the masterball i always save it for hunting shiny legendaries.
9:09 Hunt for it for hours upon hours 1. It needs to be a legitimate pokemon 2. Why just give it to myself? At that point I might as well not bother at all with shinies 3. The feeling when you finally find the shiny 4. Shows that I do have some determination and patience within me 5. WHY AM I WAY OVER ODDS? 6. How was that the fifth hatch/encounter/reset? 7. Probably wouldn't be playing the (switch) games as much as I do 8. Mints and Protiens/Calciums etc... 9. TMs, ability capsules/patches
I used my Master Ball on Groudon in my Omega Ruby playthrough. I didn't want to, but it just refused to co-operate with me. It rested when I got its health low enough, always woke up once I got its health back down again, resisted EVERY single attempt at an Ultra Ball and then sometimes just randomly fainted. In the end, I got so frustrated I just threw my Master Ball at it. And then I nicknamed it "Mr Cuddles" just to spite it. XD
I know the hm question itself is good, but the example of "Are you teaching your blastoise surf" is like...of course I am, surf is arguably the best hm 😂
On the favorite pokemon picker website, I couldn't even pick my very favorite. It was Absol for a while, but now it's more of a tie between Absol and Dragonite.
6:27 speaking of,evolving isn’t required to get max stats in PMD games iirc(evolving gives a flat +10 overall stat boost),so I usually stay at first or second stage.
Personally, I always found that the hardest decisions for me in any give playthrough is trying to decide what nickname to give to all of my team members

And there are some Pokémon I want to use that are Water and Grass type Pokémon (mainly Water types because of how many there are), yet I end up having to either delay them, or ditch a starter.
Awesome video idea! I’ll answer some of these questions on how I personally play. :)
- Starter.
Always go with the team you like the best, its just more fun that way.

video: hardest decisions in pokemon
description: *_POKEMON GOLD, SILVER, AND CRYSTAL_*
Ceruledge and skeledirge was a problem for me… until i realized It’s a game designed for kids, you can flex 6 pokemon same type and have No problem.
I think he made this video as a covert way of asking if he should buy the mareep.
The hardest choices require the strongest wills - A ded purple guy
In Gens 7, 8, and 9, there are always two starter Pokémon that end up becoming either Ghost or Dark type upon evolving which is annoying if there’s a Ghost or Dark type Pokémon I already want to use, and also because both types are super effective against the same things. So, I either have to have a Ghost and Dark type Pokémon on the same team, delay the Pokémon I want to use, or ditch a starter.
At least Sword/Shield only had single typed starters!
5:48 good question, I have a few answers:
-poison and bug types are adorable, they’re some of my favorite types just behind rock and grass.
-team skull has the best drip imo.
-nice to not have some big over the top ideology, just general tomfoolery and deliberate mishap-causing.
-catchy as hell battle music.
-Salandit is precious.
Team Skull has zero drip. Team Flare has the best drip.
Thank you so much for all videos you made. You are one of my absolutely best youtubers ever. :)
Jsi borec. Mám moc rád tvoji tvorbu.
1. Easy choice grass, almost 90% of my favourite staters are grass
2.I master balled a chansey
very true, aura guardian. most of these are so hard for me. but i have solutions for some of them that i am satisfied with. so it's a bit easier to make a decision.
The evil team of TEAM SKY🗣🦅🦆🦢🦩🦜
I like how you asked what we would pick if we could only buy the red versions or blue versions, because that's literally how I pick every new game. I always pick the blue versions. From gen 3-8, I broke it for Scarlet.
AuraGuardian posts are highlights of my day.
5:41 Dang, when you put them side by side, Ghetsis looks awesome. He got the drip.
YO AURA GAURDIAN I seen you in TrueGreen7's recent video you did a fantastic job and it was so cool to see what you look like. You're a rad human and I think you're awesome you rock
3:08 i always save the master ball for shinies that could pop out of nowhere and also have the possibility to flee/knock itself out
0:38 I always choose the water type starter, sometimes don't hate a single one of them and it's the best option for surf in the older games.
0:42 Me, who's favourite 'mon is Grotle, as well as being a Contrary Leaf Storm Serperior enjoyer: *I see this as an absolute win*
I always kept the master ball for the roaming legendaries.
5:47 "and why is it team skull?" yep, read my mind perfectly
5:47 AWWW COME ON MAN!!
Why did you have to call me out like that? 😂
7:16 not gonna lie the great ball kinda suits greninja
1:50 most relatable thing on this list. while playing Pokémon platinum I used crobat roserade and tentacruel. I wanted to use gastrodon as water type instead, but then it will clash with my garchomp which I was definitely not getting rid of.
5:27 The obvious answer to this is TEAM SKYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!
Same
1:00 not me owning just White and Black 2💀
1:06. Now that is SO relatable!!!
I’d pay heaps of money for a massive spheal plush.
The dream.
0:07 Only had a hard time choosing in Galar Region. I usually choose the two-legged ones so for this region, I had three choices unlike the other regions where usually I only have two choices because usually, one is four-legged.
i cant believe that you put the giant mareep vs ps5 in this video. it is so obvious that the big fluffball sheep pokemon plush is the answer
I'm glad I'm not the only person that coordinates their pokeballs to their team
Great vids dude always entertaining
There's no vegetarians or vegans In the pokemon universe. EVERYTHING is alive
Max revives as well for me.

7:56 - We also had that issue in the Johto games. And given that, I imagine, most people would have used either Totodile or the Shiny Gyarados, are you going to use three of its move slots for Surf, Whirlpool and Waterfall?
I used lanturn
"Do you buy a PS5, or Giant Mareep with 500$?" Buy PS5, sell it for double, get TWO Giant Mareeps.
I was legit thinking 'I'd probs join Team Skull', then when he said 'Why is it team Skull' I was like, "Did he read my mind!?"
I used one of the Master Balls in Violet on a shiny Minior because I didn’t feel like resetting repeatedly because it explodes.

I would just go for fire tbh
When I'm planning a team for a playthrough I'm trying to pick the mons I don't usually use. I'm waiting for my White 2 game in the mail and I plan on using Braviary and Conkeldurr.
Hey Mr. AuraGuardian! I was wondering if you have ever done a Nuzlocke? If so, how did it go for you?
Not naming your rival an inappropriate name
Jokes on you. Joycon drift caused my masterball to be thrown at a kingler in Pokemon sword.
9:09
Hunt for it for hours upon hours
1. It needs to be a legitimate pokemon
2. Why just give it to myself? At that point I might as well not bother at all with shinies
3. The feeling when you finally find the shiny
4. Shows that I do have some determination and patience within me
5. WHY AM I WAY OVER ODDS?
6. How was that the fifth hatch/encounter/reset?
7. Probably wouldn't be playing the (switch) games as much as I do
8. Mints and Protiens/Calciums etc...
9. TMs, ability capsules/patches
I'm very guilty of never using the Master Ball--though I did use it this gen for a shiny Roaring Moon that was struggling to death
XD
I know the hm question itself is good, but the example of "Are you teaching your blastoise surf" is like...of course I am, surf is arguably the best hm 😂
i used to watch you in 2016-2017, its crazy to me your voice hasnt changed almost at all
Bro really described exactly my situation at 4:55 💀
6:32 I’m picking blue, I love Koraidon and palkia, but I love zekrom, xerneas, dialga, kyogre, and Lunala more!
3:44 I want to say in the Pokemon Universe the Meat is grown from plants from some Pokemon like Lechonk.
This is what happen when you emphasize more on quantity rather than quality
"the hardest choices require the strongest wills"
On the favorite pokemon picker website, I couldn't even pick my very favorite. It was Absol for a while, but now it's more of a tie between Absol and Dragonite.
For that site my favorite is froslass and i still picked froslass easily
watching this made my anxiety problem even worse
Almost forgot, I will use Surf and Fly, but every other HM is used for a temporary HM hoard.
6:27 speaking of,evolving isn’t required to get max stats in PMD games iirc(evolving gives a flat +10 overall stat boost),so I usually stay at first or second stage.
I knew I was going to have at least 4 grass types on my scarlet team so I just gave in and did all grass team. Honestly it kind of kicked ass
8:20 no, because Hot professor (instinct)
If the only other option was a PS5, I would choose big mareep with no regrets
