Hey Drewski, actual Apache pilot here, a very important tactic I learned from my deployments, one that applies to virtually all attack and assault helicopters: flow LOW, fly FAST, so that you can stay out of the line of sight of most AAA until you're right up on them. Combine that with plenty of quick turns, dips and dives and you'll be golden. Pass that on to your friends as well. Low and fast.
Nobody ever masks and unmasks unless an aviation dude brings it up. Blackhawk crew dog here. The guns effective angles in game are wack.

Honestly there's not much a door gunner can actually do in Squad until they add M134s. Yeah suppressing enemies is cool and all, but shredding them to pieces with a minigun (or imagine an MK19) would be so much cooler.

I was laughing pretty hard when the guys asked, "Is anyone bleeding?" and suddenly that guy gets ejected right out of the helicopter!! What made it even more hilarious is that the CO didn't seem to think it was all that funny.

That heat mirage over the sight line in M240, mounted on the chopper, and the barrel exposed to the wind-stream - it would never happen. Even at 40 knots, barrel would cool 5x faster, than on the ground, with no wind.

@@dionwoollaston5717 FN M240 GPMG in many of it's military versions is a full auto only - no single shot capability, unless you'll put only one round in the links. But I think I know what you're getting at - continuous fire with no stop, as opposed to firing at 3-5 round bursts, for saving ammo and for accuracy. On the ground it depends on the firing rate regulator setting - 750 rpm, 850 rpm, or 950 rpm - and it would take about 200 rounds non stop on the highest setting(with the gun virgin clean) to finally start having cook offs - but it's open bolt gun, so it doesn't matter. In the air slip stream, gun stays cool - that's why those old WW2 Bombers had special versions of M2 .50BMG with the pencil barrel, or normal barrel with the rate of fire of 1200rpm with only the air slip stream cooling. Helis move a lot slower, but it still is plenty enough to cool M240(in any variant) - you'd run out of ammo sooner before the weapon would overheat.

I think you were somehow glitching out and got stuck in the Main Rotor resulting in your death.
So while not understanding the pilot it is not your fault that you died

The m1 garands he claimed to have found were probably m14's. The US navy still uses m14's. I highly highly highly doubt m1 garands are still on a destroyer.
No its a Garand they use them as "grenade launchers" to shoot a big slug with a line attached from the ship to a resupply vessel to act as a guideline for fuel pipes in order to pump fuel aboard. And before you ask no they can't use actual grenade launchers if they put the line in a proper 40 mm barrel it would be frayed everytime they launched it. So old M1s with what looks like cans on the front are more effective somehow. Idk it works

Such an Epic squad video, a massive thank you too you and KarmaKut you both are top notch players of squad and Tarkov.......you put in alot of time and effort in making these videos and it shows man...i personally think that Squad, even know i`ve not played it my self is the best realism shooter of all time and i am of the opion that it puts battlefield games from EA to shame...the sound design is second to none, firefights sound so intense the game modes are better and bigger in some areas...squad its slower paced than battlefield but faster paced than arma its such a perfect balance

I was a 15T UH60 mechanic & crew chief at the 1109th AVCRAD for 6 years. I loved the butterfly trigger 240 Hotel. So the ONLY thing i noticed that was inaccurate was the backs of the pilots seats. They don't look like that. The pilots have nicer seats then the ones shown in game.

@@Meister_Dwight when you're actually in a blackhawk or whatever you generally wear earpro or have the crew headphones on, it is fairly quiet once you do.
The milspec front sight post for the AR platform should be made of forged or cast steel as far as I was aware. Shouldn't break just from pinching them.
