Nunca finalizei nenhum dos jogos mas já joguei todos. O jogo de Mega Drive Turma da Mônica na Terra dos Monstros ainda é oficialmente produzido por aqui e está à venda no site da Tectoy. Recentemente foi anunciado um novo jogo pra as plataformas atuais (PS4, Xbox One, PC) mas infelizmente não é baseado nos jogos antigos. As histórias em quadrinhos ainda continuam sendo lançadas em português (Turma da Mônica), em inglês (Monica's Gang) e em espanhol (Mónica Y su pandilla).

I have no connection to Brazil or Portugal whatsoever but when I saw the mod at the end I had a huge smile on my face, I was just so happy someone made that, I can't explain it like throughout the video you built Monica and the reason for the sprite changes so bad that when the time came for the remake to be discussed I was hoping the developers took the time to o the Brazilian version too, then I felt sad that wasn't the case just to be pleasantly surprised when the mod showed up on-screen a few seconds later :D AWESOME video and it gave these sprite changes and game edits a whole new meaning to me, so good.

im from Mexico, and i remember seeing these characters years ago, i think they aired a cartoon on Cartoon Network, and i saw one of the comics, but my memory is super faint, it seems she´s not as popular here.
I didn't know of this monica series till I found the dragon's trap back in 2013 (but i did grow up with the other wonder boy games as a kid of the 90s). I'm glad I did another playthrough of the remake with the monica cast. I'm still not familiar with these characters but I'm still really glad to play this mod also if I was a Brazilian kid I would've loved this of course. Thank god for the internet we can find comics, cartoons and other medias from different countries that are really great or old stuff that still holds up.

There's someplace on TH-cam with a interview with TecToy president saying that they made a deal with the company that make Monica's comics and after that they ask Sega of America if they have some title that they could mod. Wonderboy was the one suggested. So, we have wonderboy as Monica here all by chance. I'm glad that they didn't suggested Chakan. 😁 There's a brazilian game for pc, switch, ps4 and Xone called No Heroes Here that will have a version (I don't know if it's just a sprite swap, a dlc or a separated game) with Mônica theme. It's called Mônica e A Guarda dos Coelhos. Will be released in December.

I am Brazilian and I even thought to comment here in Portuguese, but it will be in English. These games, especially the first two were the reasons Sega did so well in Brazil, before him the "Pick Ax Pete" for Odyssey² became "Didi na Mina Encantada" with another famous TV character at the time. Not to mention Street Fighter II, Mega's Duke Nukem and the two Show do Milhão with another famous TV character, SIlvio Santos. I do not doubt that this has given Sega survival, especially in Latin America.

Mas tudo bem, existem muitas história da turma da Mônica e tem uma especial que mostra a Magali e o Cascão casados no futuro, mas nas histórias regulares eles tem os seus próprio namorados. O Cacão tem a Cascuda e a Magali tem o Quindim. O romance da Mônica e o Cebolinha não é muito tocado nas história regulares, mas sim nos spinoffs da turma da Mônica Jovem, que sim tem traços totalmente diferentes e gerou muita revolta quando foi lançado, mas é um sucesso entre os adolescentes. A turma da Mônica também tem uma linha de quadrinhos para adultos, que é um pouco recente chamada de MSP. Eles chamaram artistas independentes que se destacam no mercado underground para fazer história com os personagens do universo da Mônica. O meu favorito é o Astronauta Magnetar, que é uma história de ficção cientifica excelente. Outro exemplo foi "A turma da Mônica: Laços" que colocou a turma do Mônica nos anos 80, meio ao estilo Goonies e fez tanto sucesso que vai virar filme live action. Aqui no Brasil, esses quadrinhos ainda são mega relevantes e muita gente diz que são um dos poucos motivos de ainda existir distribuição de revistas no país. Sobre os jogos, lembro que o "Turma da Mônica e o Castelo do Dragão" também tem adaptação para quadrinhos que saiu na época para divulgar o jogo e recentemente a Turma da Mônica também ganhou um jogo chamado de "A turma da Mônica e a guarda dos coelhos", que é um jogo oficial, mas ao mesmo tempo um mod gráfico do jogo indie "No heroes Here", assim como faziam no tempo do Master System e Mega Drive (Sega Genesis).
I love this program if only they played this TV program in England. Really like all the Monica games, I have the 3 of them on my Nintendo WII. I really like the remastered version of the Monica game as well because just like the Sega Master System and Genesis version it features Maggie, Jimmy Five, Smudge, Angel, Franklin, the Blue Dog and the other kid in the yellow shirt and his sun hat who’s name I can’t remember. By far the best game ever. Definitely giving it a straight up 10/10. 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿😄😄😄😀😀😀. I think this is most certainly by far the best thing I have ever seen and watched. 😄😄😀😀. Love It. 😄😀. bidu isn't cebolinha's dog (that would be floquinho), bidu is franjinha's dog (the scientist) also, Monica is inspired on the author's daughter, hence, her class. Despite that, all 4 main characters have their own comics, in which they are the protagonists. You probably read more of cebolinha's comics than monica's comics

I'm glad I did another playthrough of the remake with the monica cast. I'm still not familiar with these characters but I'm still really glad to play this mod also if I was a Brazilian kid I would've loved this of course.
Thank god for the internet we can find comics, cartoons and other medias from different countries that are really great or old stuff that still holds up.

There's someplace on TH-cam with a interview with TecToy president saying that they made a deal with the company that make Monica's comics and after that they ask Sega of America if they have some title that they could mod. Wonderboy was the one suggested. So, we have wonderboy as Monica here all by chance.

There's a brazilian game for pc, switch, ps4 and Xone called No Heroes Here that will have a version (I don't know if it's just a sprite swap, a dlc or a separated game) with Mônica theme. It's called Mônica e A Guarda dos Coelhos. Will be released in December.

Excellent video! Wonder Boy is my favorite Sega series and I'm fascinated by the changes that Brazil received. Recently I featured the Monica games on my channel, although I couldn't understand the story. Please tell me, in Turma da Mônica em o Resgate what is the in-game explanation for the character swapping mechanic?
Basically it's just the gang saving Monica. There's no in-game explanation other than more people join up to help you.

I am Brazilian and I even thought to comment here in Portuguese, but it will be in English. These games, especially the first two were the reasons Sega did so well in Brazil, before him the "Pick Ax Pete" for Odyssey² became "Didi na Mina Encantada" with another famous TV character at the time. Not to mention Street Fighter II, Mega's Duke Nukem and the two Show do Milhão with another famous TV character, SIlvio Santos. I do not doubt that this has given Sega survival, especially in Latin America.

Legal o vídeo, apesar de ficar claro que você não lembra muito da turma da mônica. Eles não são amigos da escola, geralmente se encontram na rua mesmo, pois vivem no mesmo bairro. Mas tudo bem, existem muitas história da turma da Mônica e tem uma especial que mostra a Magali e o Cascão casados no futuro, mas nas histórias regulares eles tem os seus próprio namorados. O Cacão tem a Cascuda e a Magali tem o Quindim. O romance da Mônica e o Cebolinha não é muito tocado nas história regulares, mas sim nos spinoffs da turma da Mônica Jovem, que sim tem traços totalmente diferentes e gerou muita revolta quando foi lançado, mas é um sucesso entre os adolescentes.
A turma da Mônica também tem uma linha de quadrinhos para adultos, que é um pouco recente chamada de MSP. Eles chamaram artistas independentes que se destacam no mercado underground para fazer história com os personagens do universo da Mônica. O meu favorito é o Astronauta Magnetar, que é uma história de ficção cientifica excelente. Outro exemplo foi "A turma da Mônica: Laços" que colocou a turma do Mônica nos anos 80, meio ao estilo Goonies e fez tanto sucesso que vai virar filme live action.
Aqui no Brasil, esses quadrinhos ainda são mega relevantes e muita gente diz que são um dos poucos motivos de ainda existir distribuição de revistas no país.
Sobre os jogos, lembro que o "Turma da Mônica e o Castelo do Dragão" também tem adaptação para quadrinhos que saiu na época para divulgar o jogo e recentemente a Turma da Mônica também ganhou um jogo chamado de "A turma da Mônica e a guarda dos coelhos", que é um jogo oficial, mas ao mesmo tempo um mod gráfico do jogo indie "No heroes Here", assim como faziam no tempo do Master System e Mega Drive (Sega Genesis).
I love this program if only they played this TV program in England. Really like all the Monica games, I have the 3 of them on my Nintendo WII. I really like the remastered version of the Monica game as well because just like the Sega Master System and Genesis version it features Maggie, Jimmy Five, Smudge, Angel, Franklin, the Blue Dog and the other kid in the yellow shirt and his sun hat who’s name I can’t remember. By far the best game ever. Definitely giving it a straight up 10/10. 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿😄😄😄😀😀😀. I think this is most certainly by far the best thing I have ever seen and watched. 😄😄😀😀. Love It. 😄😀. bidu isn't cebolinha's dog (that would be floquinho), bidu is franjinha's dog (the scientist)
also, Monica is inspired on the author's daughter, hence, her class. Despite that, all 4 main characters have their own comics, in which they are the protagonists. You probably read more of cebolinha's comics than monica's comics
