Hi! I just found you this weekend while recovering from surgery. Your channel has kept me entertained while I’m laid up. I was sad I missed your live by 9 minutes, but hopefully you’ll see this comment and know that I LOVE your channel. Megan, you are a true natural beauty. I think you’re just adorable! Keep up the good videos for this old granny. God bless
Love you all you bring back memories of my growing up in the country. I’m 82 I live in central Kentucky, not in the mountains.Your ways of living videos are the very way I grew up. Keep up the good work,God bless❤️
Sorry I missed your live but got to watch it over reminds me a lot of my country life growing up so I try to catch all yours sometimes I re-watch the old ones
Watch you from Bitterroot mountains in Montana. Love your videos. Reminds me of my own family, except I have 4 children. Jacob is such a handsome young man. Love watching him on his tractor. And little Maggie what a beautiful little girl! Her flowers were gorgeous. I see so much love in your family. Thankyou for sharing with me.❤ you make my day!!! Makes me remember mylarge gardens, canning, freezing, baking ect. I remember butchering 75 chickens in a day. My children are so thankful to know how to raise their own food.
Back in 1960s to 70s we used to get an average snowfall at 4:00 feet no problem nowadays we get two or three inches and I tell you no one can handle it They're not even set up to snow plow that greatest snow anymore when my dad used to push the snow off the roof of the house we had a great big 4 by 8 pitcher window in the living room and you couldn't even see out the picture window we used to dig a tunnel from the front door out the house it used to be so much fun easy building snowforts because you just built it out of the big piles that the cloud used to plow up and then when we used to go to town there was always at least an 8 foot pile of snow in between the vehicles on the center line the last big snowfall on that I can remember that was 4 feet or more was in 1979 I can remember that because my dad got a new truck that year and as you can see was a little bump in the snow and that was his truck the roof of the truck I think now we only need the biggest snowfall we get maybe 4 or 5 inches at a time but that's far and in between and even then they don't plow in front of my house because they don't know how to plow and they get stuck on a little tiny hill I always end up shoveling their road plus my driveway because it gets so icy on the hill I mean it's just a little tiny hill not even you probably couldn't even run a go kart down it that's how small it is you can't even to blog and down it it's so small yeah they're useless nowadays And you used to have to have studded snow tires on your vehicle or you could get a fine they had the dates that the studs had to go on your vehicle and come off your vehicle
I hate I missed your live...I love how much both of you teach and love doing it. Megan, I lost my Mom and Dad 2 weeks apart in 2003...I took a whole year off of nursing to deal with it. Your doing better then most and you two were meant to be together..Serendipity...❤ I look forward to your videos. God Bless..p.s. gonna be sending Maggie flower seeds from Washington from Floret when they come on sale. She's my flower doppleganger 💐 girl ❤.
Oh my goodness, I missed your live! God bless you all. I love your channel and family. I enjoy watching videos! I live in Western New York below Buffalo NY! Congratulations on your achievement 🎉 on TH-cam God bless. You are a beautiful family! Celebrating Appalachia Tipper and Matt Pressley ,The Pressley Girls (thier daughters have a channel also) wonderful Christian Family.
Hey you two from Goldsboro NC . I planted my garden peas around the same time as y’all did. I was lucky to fine on FBMarket place some roast protesters . They look like a mini greenhouse. So I have 54 ft with the three . I didn’t put mine on a fence to run on . I covered 54 ft and so far they did ok through this low 20 s we have had . Now the ones that weren’t coved got hit . But if we get through this week with two nights in the upper 20s then I might get some peas to add to the few I’ve already picked . Next fall I think I’m going to plant mine in the middle of July just to see if that helps .
Oh darn, I missed the live chat. I try to get on every day to see if I geta hint of one coming up. I am in Arizona soon to be moving back to Michigan to re-instate a Homestead. Looking forward to it and have learned so many new methods from your channel.
Merry Christmas family! A few days ago we had a 7.2 earthquake, things were rocking and rolling around here. My mama always said watch your animals, they sense things when they will happen. Where I live we can get tons of snow. Stay well. From Rhonda
Darn it, I got distracted and missed your LIVE. Hope it was fun, I'll watch now. Congrats on reaching 70,000+ subscribers. You sure deserve it, keep it up!
Though I watch many channels, ( including Deep South Homestead Pecan Grove and Peter Santanello and the Hollars) there are only 4 channels I consider watching the live for. Yours is one. I watch replay if cant make it like this one. Yoh vould talk about just anything and Id wanna listen. Your voices, your talk sound like family. I bet we sre related closer than farther.
I was late to see the live but I did enjoy watching it. I just thought I would add to some of the comments on more good youtube channels to watch. I really enjoy The Veggie Boys, Sonne Farms, Sheepishly Me, A stable life, and of course, I watch your channel. I'm just usually behind because of working so much! The channels that I watch are safe for children to watch as well. If they aren't I won't watch them!
Hi yall. I hear you just fine. I'm sure I missed the live but I'm going to pretend I caught you live. I love your channel. I'm going to claim yaĺl as my kiddos and grandbabies.

You folks need to try Hoss Tools Hossinator Tomatoe. I live in Maryville, TN and make sure I grow at least 3-4 of the Hossinator plants for bacon and tomato sandwichs. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
The last video Magen made the bag for the first one it was beautiful today I baked two pans of date squares two banana bread not done yet from Southern Ontario Canada no snow here it was 49 today had some rain 🇨🇦
Y’all check out Teddy Gentry’s (bass player for Alabama) breed of cattle, the South Poll. Teddy, and cousin Randy Owen (singer, guitarist for Alabama) observed how much black angus cattle struggled in our Alabama heat. It’s tough to keep them comfortable and putting weight on in our climate. Teddy got very interested in coming up with a smaller frame, lighter color, breed that could better tolerate our conditions. Long story short, the South Poll was the result of his efforts. Very interesting story of the 4 breed cross and the tremendous results he’s had since introducing them in 1989. Check it out!
The best beef i ever had was from a shorthorn ,grass fed, slower grown/finished,but wow the marbling through that meat was delicious! We used to breed shorthorn x various bulls but the pure SH won on flavour hands down.

On tomatoes, have you ever raised the brandywine tomatoes. They are low in acid. Andy might like them. I have to eat a very low acid tomato. As I'm allergic to it. But I can eat one slice every day without any problem. The only time of year I can enjoy a BLT.
Y’all talking about the cow getting struck my lightning, I saw a picture of cows that were standing around the hay ring , very cow that was standing there got killed . It was a lot of cows .

Good Evening,
Hate I missed your live. Hope to catch you on the next live and hope y’all have a Merry Christmas.🎄
When people do lives, they often say it’s been an hour and need to wrap up. Is it in TH-cam terms only to go live for an hour?

Would raising sheep be something you have ever considered rearing for both meat milk and fleece purposes but you can also use by products for soaps shampoos etc too as well as raising your hogs beef and chickens
My second cousin in the foothills raises belted cows.
I'm a country girl but what's the difference between reg.chickens and meat chickens
The meat chickens are breed to have more meat . Like the ones you get in the stores. But my growing your own you don’t have all the crap they put in there’s to get them to the store. One they put color in the chicken to make it look yellow. When you do your own it’s more white . And I’m sure the taste is better for home grown because they not only eat feed they also get grass . Store bought they don’t .
Your chow chow is great in potato salad also.
Yall should go live once a week

Dang gone it, I missed your live
Apparently phrase "our inlaws and outlaws" came from the South or NC or you? :) I say it out here in the central plains and get nasty looks or scolded. Lol Moms from NC .....with strong southern accent. Maybe thats where I got it from.
Unfortunately school is like that pretty much everywhere.
We've had three sets of chickens killed over the 15 years we've lived here. Each time there were over 20 chickens killed. It was raccoons and possums. We had one hawk get in the coop. We thought it was totally enclosed.
My Mom would make barbequed deer meat that she cooked in the crockpot all day. Delicious
Love your channel, not so much the animal killing, but I noticed you don't show it on your videos. Do you quilt ect? I see that you are an excellent cook.❤
What is peanut butter delight
I'm trying to find peanut butter fudge like my mom made that didn't look like it was greasy on top it looked dry
Hi guys 👋
In your “Appalachian” I heard your first date you went to Reggae… lol… Mike, Mobile, Al
Surprised that by the time I got to 36 minutes in, you hadn’t mentioned lamb. You’d need at least one ram and two sheep to start with then keep a boy lamb from the first lambing for a wither to keep the ram company. Feed out the rest out to harvest.
I guess you don’t enjoy lamb. Such a shame. Absolutely delicious. 😊
