    I don't even play this deck but I just love your approach to the game and your voice/speech. No stuttering, you speak coherently and fluidly. I think you would do very well covering broader topics and discussions on ygo and not just White Forest. Again, I'm literally nvr going to pick this deck up in standard but I just love tuning in hearing what you've got to say. I've commonly started to just link people your deck building guide video. You've got great insight and info to share.

    The thing about Theo is, that he is a Light Lv 4 Spellcaster. This makes him searchable with Toy Soldier and Rciela.
    Also he is as easy special summonable like Iris, since you will have a Extra Deck Monster on the field everytime your engine starts.
    An in regards to the other dogmatika monsters, Theo is the only one who do not locks you out of the extra and do not need another dogmatika card in your deck.
    Dunno if that is really good, but I find it interessting that he is a card we could run. Maybe in a more rank4/lvl6 synchro focused build.

    A lot of people in his chat (myself included) were screaming for weeks about "Elemental Burst" whenever his Paleo deck had an issue with mass removal. Some OCG player showcased the Soldier Dragons tech into Laundry Dragonmain, not only giving a lot of materials for big Xyz plays but also an extra mill to hit important cards.
    What I mean is that despite how good a player gets, they will always benefit by hearing different points of view (although it requires a lot of filtering and of course optimizing) and other players challenging their choices (in a good way, not bs)
    The selling point of Evenly for me was the lack of mass removal the deck has, and with no handtraps, it's easy to assume the opponent will end on their full board so we need 1 "unfair" card equalizer since they also probably have handtraps on top.
    With Destruction hitting the equipped Sequence you essentially bait Desirae, if you get negated there are Freezing Curses/Flashing Fire (unusable against Desirae) that can now deal with IP since SP is the hardest counter for the deck.
    I was working on Runick WF for a friend going and i totally agree on the 3 Talent issue. But replacing it with a single Thrust solves this while you do want TTT access more frequently. Gets extra value with the WF cards, gets Talents or Evenly (that you can easily bait using a WF monster to get Ashed then crash it, evenly, runick plays)
    I love Black Goat as well, and with the single Thrust doing double duty it's safe to play 2 instead. The Iris tech is great in theory (haven't tested it), i wonder if it's impactful enough so that we can run Luluwalilith as the Synchro 12 to get a pseudo-negate (any runick Spell eff to summon) as well as a useful floating effect into another interruption when we link for SP.
    Baldrake is amazing when you side it alongside Phantazmay. You can take away 1 talent, 1 dispelling, the 3 skill drains and side in both Charmy and Phantazmay sculpting your hand so much the opponent will feel immediate pressure. I also like a single Nib for this reason as well, since post side a lot of players will go full combo against you without fearing handtraps that much, and with such draw power it's a huge blowout.
    I wonder about not running Scarlight in the main instead, since it's very good at cleaning a board while allowing you to get 1 more side slot (like the Nib).

    • @BimYGO
      @BimYGO  หลายเดือนก่อน

      good points. on evenly, its a 23.5% chance to draw both evenly and tip/destruc going 2nd. given that virtually every single deck that exists can, if they want, add desirae to their normal endboard, i dont think its a solid enough reason to argue it over (for example) drnm, which at least guarantees a favourable trade.
      i am not arguing that drnm wins you the game or guarantees that your engine starts, but i am saying the impact that it has is far higher probability than 23.5%
      generally speaking, i would never deck build main or side based on a combination of a limited set of cards - including the baldrake/phantazmay scenario - however baldrake at least is good enough to be used on its own, so i take your point there that the combo works when it does and isnt needed when its not there
      i think running scarlight in the main, perhaps over typhon, is a good idea, with the downside being it doesnt give value every turn like chengying does.
      on goat, going 2nd being able to put goat in grave as early as sp off hugin i think i value more than thrust, but i take your point on the utility

      @@BimYGO you can also just use any runick to special geri in the BP to crash it and use its gy effect to pop sequence *if they dont have an apo*.

    I think its always correct to do Fountain 1 Hugin 2:
    - Optimal to search Fountain before drawing
    - Plays better into Ogre/Belle
    - Otherwise they could Ash-Imperm to negate both
    - Since this usually happens on hands full of Runicks you will have 4 or so Runicks in hand. If you do Hugin 1 and Fountain 2 to draw 3, they could interrupt it, but if it resolves then you also would be left with 1 draw to keep your turn going, or to interrupt your opp's turn. That draw 3 sounds crazy good, but you could easily draw into bricks, bad runicks or weak starters. Going for 2 draws of 2 cards is more consistent than a 3->1.
    I've found if you draw a full Runick hand its better to keep them to interrupt instead of going for a draw 3 to search your other engine. You'll eventually draw into your other engine as long as you don't die, and then you can make a bigger push the following turn.

      I think you do hugin 1 fountain 2 only if your hand is so cracked that you dont care if they ash+imperm the fountain and hugin, that is like 1/30 games, but there are some instances where its correct and btw in that scenario doing the usual fountain 1 hugin 2 is totally fine so autopiloting to the safe play is usually fine

    The problem with dark ruler is even if it deals with all their interruptions you still won't be able to out the board because you have no battle phase (especially without satellite warrior).... and even that scenario is optimistic because they will always have a searched trap/gy interruption or hand traps. It's rough but i think evenly at least pairs better with another copy or a talents/ a bunch of runicks

  • @juliusurbanek4870
    @juliusurbanek4870 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

    You could put Fountain on CL2, if you want to put the Runick spell you discarded for Hugin in CL1 under the deck and draw. Very greedy though. Probably only, if yo have perfect knowledge and that spell is Dispelling or whatever.

    • @babrad
      @babrad หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Exactly this. The only reasonable case you do this line is if you have CBTG in hand that can check Blossom while it's the first draw so you aren't too deep into the deck that you draw Fountain wasting Hugin.
      But even if you do this properly, drawing 2 cards is fine since you can use Fountain as fodder for your WF monsters, then recycle Fountain with Fiendess and now your extra runick spell will give you an other draw 2, netting a +1 draw total. Leaving the 2nd Hugin on the board while you have both Fountains in rotation makes Woes even better since you can loop Silvera twice by getting the 2nd lvl4 tuner into rotation instead of going for Elzette

    Have you considered Bagooska as well? Really good against shifter, and sometimes you end up with a lot of the level 4 tuners on the field with nothing to do with them, so bagooska buys you a coupe of turns for runick draws.
    I also think you 100% need a time win-con, either Munin, dogwood or the level 8 archfiend synchro.

    • @BimYGO
      @BimYGO  3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      i dont play time win cons testing on omega ladder because time wont come up, but id for sure side a munin for time as its more reliable than dogwood. dogwood might still be good tho. bagooska is good but you do have to draw a particular set of cards to get to it based on the variant youre playing. with runick, geri + lv4 access isnt the hardest thing in the world but beating shifter is extremely difficult with runick as youll be bleeding resources the moment they interact with bagooska

    very informative video for someone looking to pick up the deck! what do you think about dominus purge as a maindeck option? maybe not as impactful as some other nonengine but incredibly generic and is still a trap for your WF discards

    • @BimYGO
      @BimYGO  7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      honestly its hard to rank that card in our deck. its medium risk medium reward; if you main it and go first, there is almost never a downside. if you main it and go 2nd, then drawing it turns off some very relevant extra deck monsters like little knight and chaos angel, so you have to either not use it as a ht or accept that youre turning off darks for the duel
      the card itself is very good, and id say maybe black goat competes for its slot as a card flex on the dice roll, since starting your turn with a wf pitching goat basically gives you a pseudo breaker immediately

    • @BimYGO

      it depends on what they have besides dark ruler, but a runick pop and a little knight banish are relatively reliable - or if you access the wf ladder then chaos angel into little knight is also reliable. the main problem is if you silvera their field after being interrupted a lot then you may lose after they flip everything back up

    Definitely agree with Black Goat in the main over Skill Drain. Skill Drain is great but it feels so bad going second, where as Black Goat can be turned on as early as your draw phase with Hugin.
    That being said, I totally disagree with your logic on DRNM and Evely. Runick decks have trouble clearing boards after a Dark Ruler since we don't have a Battle Phase. And Evenly isn't very hard to trigger this format, Evenly + Tip or Destruction basically ensures that Evenly resolves vs Snake-Eye, and every other deck in the format isn't on omnis. The only deck I can see Evenly being bad against is Yubel because they set up multiple omnis.

    • @BimYGO
      @BimYGO  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      fair points - however, drawing both evenly and tip/destruc going 2nd is a 23.5% probability. if you do not draw this specific combination, the chance of resolving evenly against desirae drops substantially since they may not even use it, or they may use it at the cost of a game state where evenly isnt live. i dont think a 23.5% chance of not immediately losing the game is good enough to warrant playing evenly in a format where virtually every single deck can, if they want, simply add a desirae to their standard endboard
      naturally if this isnt a problem at your locals, this doesnt matter and evenly is strictly better than drnm
