      Good. Goooood.
      Honestly, it's better this way. It's easier to follow. There are some instances otherwise of episodes where you see a certain event happen and then a "later" episode where it hasn't happened yet (such as character deaths, etc). That's because that later episode actually took place before an earlier episode. Eventually it all gets itself in order though and isn't just a bunch of random episodes anymore.

    • @KorAsek453

      In my opinion it's chronological order that's the mistake. Much like the movies, their are many plot points that are meant to be seen "out of order", particularly for the emotional context. Watching in chronological order totally disrupts the narrative structure and pacing, and can even spoil some of the character development. A first time watch of anything should always be in release order because good story telling is never entirely linear.
      Please don't let the overly vocal chrono crowd sabotage you're experience with their total disregard for the subtleties of narrative structure and proper story telling, like so many other reactors have done.

      Glad for the chronological, its better! I do like the way you are splitting this into blocks, as down the road this series will do arcs over 3-4 episodes at a time. I suggest you find an old hand who knows their way around this series to help you break the chunks into the shows arcs as best as possible (and will likely net you more youtube views as a result)

  • @javierramos2354

    Chronological order refers to watching them by the star wars time-line. For instance, episode 3.01 (season 3 episode 1) takes place before season 1.01 (season 1 episode 1). All episodes are labeled in release order, but I believe it is more enjoyable if they are watched in chronological order.
    Either way it is a good series.

    • @jeffburnham6611
      @jeffburnham6611 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I like the way she has chosen to watch them, in release order by original air date. At the start of each episode there is a recap of events from the previous one, something that would be confusing to watch them chronologically, and see the episode recap of events you haven't seen yet. I recall a few reactors that chose to watch them this way and then were baffled by the opening seeing events told that they hadn't seen yet.

    • @illrated
      @illrated 2 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      @@jeffburnham6611 I think you're confused. Chronological order is from past to present with no gaps. The way she chose to watch it is somewhat random. She just watched Hevy, Cutup, and Droid Bait die but she's going to see them all back alive again. How's that not confusing?

    • @illrated
      @illrated 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@oneironaut420 It most definitely is confusing especially if you dont know which episodes are from the past. S1E1 King Katuunko joins the Republic and like 20 episodes later he's neutral trying to decide if he should bring Toydaria into the war. There's tv and movies that do time jumps for a reason. Clone Wars wasn't one of them. They released it out of wack cause the network didn't understand the show had arcs and storylines. Just take the extra minute to see what the chronological order is so you can alleviate all that.

      It's my understanding that some of the reason is meta as to why it wasn't already chronological such as the movie being the debut for the show to capture interest and possibly just some cases where the episode was only thought of after they passed its spot chronologically.

    the story of Yoda and the 3 clones becomes heartbreaking when you find out that Lt. Thire ends up becoming Commander Thire, the shock trooper commander sent to look for yoda after his duel with Palpatine in the senate, and Jek ends up becoming Captain Jek of the 41st Rangers who is the clone killed alongside Commander Gree by Yoda during Order 66, and Rys at some point, according to a vision from Yoda that he had on the way back to Coruscant which is consistent with Thire and Jek's stories.

    The chronological order (not release order which is how they aired) is better both for avoiding confusion and as an experience due to how some things are revealed like for instance certain clones that you have already watched die without knowing who they are would have been introduced earlier and given you time to actually know them and add impact to their deaths whereas now they will show up in a later episode alive again and the potential for connection with the character is stunted because you already saw them die and that is assuming you would have even remembered a random clones name who died in a previous episode (other reactors I have seen forgot and it's hard to blame them). Other confusion is when out of nowhere you are for instance 16 episodes into Season 1 and you get an episode that takes place before even the movie and before Ahsoka was in the picture. Then when you are 16 episodes into Season 2 you finally get the episode that would have come after that chronologically and after you have long since moved on. Hence why most people suggest chronological order and hence why Star Wars provided an official chronological order list because they were aware of this issue for viewers and acknowledged it.
    Primarily the only people who say to watch it in release order are just people who watched it in release order themselves and probably don't really even understand why the difference matters and think that just because they enjoyed the show in the grand scheme of all 7 seasons that that means the release order "is fine" which isn't untrue per se but isn't really a point in favor of release order either. The only other reasons I ever see anyone give is that it is simpler to follow the release order which is pretty irrelevant as the chronological order only differs on a handful of episodes (around 10 total out of 133 episodes) and you are literally just following a list so its not hard at all. The other reason being that on the episodes that are out of release order you will see a recap for a previous episode at the beginning for an episode you hadn't seen but the confusion of few second recap is far lesser than the confusion from not watching them in chronological order. Sure if you watch in release order you will probably come out with the same "its fine" mindset as the people who suggest it which is more of an experience bias than anything else as I personally watched this show as it aired in release order and both remember the confusions it caused without really knowing what the problem was and simultaneously would have said it was fine if someone asked me having not understood the issue or known there was a chronological order list. Later I ended up watching it in chronological order and now understand why it works better as well as having seen plenty of youtube channels react to the show both in chronological and release order and seen how the ones that go chronologically end up with a better experience and understanding as well as how the ones who chose release order are more likely to miss out on things.
    There really is no debate imo as on one side its like "well release order is fine and the confusion won't be the end of the world and you will still enjoy the series as a whole" and "thats how I watched it" VS multiple reasons why your experience will be better going chronologically from people who tend to have seen it in both orders. When the only cost is as negligible as following a list, the net points lean in favor of chronological to me.
    When it comes to how reactors label the reactions when going chronologically they either just do the S#E# and have a playlist for the show so viewers can watch it in the same order as they reacted or for a better option they take advantage of the official list that already labels them 1,2,3...etc and use that to number their Clone Wars Reactions on top of including the S#E#. For example on The Normies reaction channel, who is currently going in chronological order, on one of their recent reactions titled it "Star Wars: The Clone Wars - 66 (3x22) Wookie Hunt - Group Reaction". "66" is the episode number chronologically (which the official list tells you) and "(3x22)" is the Season and Episode (which the list also tells you though Star Wars uses the the format of "322" instead of 3x22 or S3E22 on their list). A final example on how I have seen them labeled when watching chronologically is when they react to the show by breaking the reactions up into arcs (similar to what you seem to be doing) and just numbering the reactions irrespective of anything else so for example starting from the beginning of the show the first 3 arc reactions (there are lists of the chronological order divided into arcs you can google) might be: "Star Wars: The Clone Wars - 1 (1x16, 2x16, & The Movie) - The Battle of Christophsis"; "Star Wars: The Clone Wars - 2 (3x1) - Domino Squad Part 1; Star Wars: The Clone Wars - 3 (3x3, 1x1) Toydaria Duology". So there are plenty of options on how they can be labeled that both makes sense and lets viewers easily follow along with you.
    Anyway I won't be the type to comment about chronological order repeatedly or anything but with the idea of maximizing your Clone Wars experience in mind I figured I would just make a comprehensive comment once. Glad you chose to watch it regardless.

    Anakin's turn to the dark side is a lot like Obito Uchiha's turn in Naruto. He was a very kind and loving person with great potential but he too was exposed to great physical trauma, a lost love and mind manipulation by a powerful mentor. He asked his mentor why he was chosen and he basically said that because he was such good in him that his capacity for evil would be just as great just like Anakin's. Obito's turn is much quicker but his actions were just as evil. In the end he to had to battle a brother like rival and sacrifice his life to save his child like character Naruto because they were so much alike before her went evil.

    @oxhine 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hey, Jade!
    AMBUSH:
    This is one of the better episodes of the whole series let alone the first season and is essential viewing.

    The droids come across as not being threatening which is a movie failing. The idea is that they can be mass-produced but they're just spindly cannon fodder and their hijinks are childish. The super battle droids with the broad chassis, the shielded spherical droidekas and the as yet to be seen commando droids are much better enemies.

    Not only does Yoda tear it up in this episode but his quiet pep talk differentiating the clones is masterful and moving.
    This is the second half of the Toydaria Duology and a prelude to the Ryloth Trilogy. It should be preceded by "Supply Lines" (Season 3, Episode 3).
    THE MALEVOLENCE TRILOGY is based on the World War II hunt for the Nazi dreadnought 'Bismarck'. A supposedly unsinkable behemoth, it sunk the HMS Hood with a single salvo in a matter of minutes taking all but 3 of its 1400-member crew! That's what happens to Plo's command in "Rising" leaving just him, Wollfe and two clones alive in the pod. A squadron of British Swordfish bi-planes took off from an aircraft carrier and flew over 100 miles through a treacherous North Atlantic squall to retaliate against the 'Bismarck'. They dropped every torpedo they had but only one struck its target! That made all the difference, though, because the 'Bismarck' couldn't make full-speed to port in occupied France as a result and was hounded at sea by a flotilla of British warships that crippled the 'Bismarck' with an incessant barrage. The Y-wing squadron's journey through the neebray-infested nebula and their run against the 'Malevolence' led by Anakin in "Shadow" reflects the Swordfish squadron's experience. The trio of pursuing Republic cruisers battering the 'Malevolence' in "Destroy" reflects the dogged chase of the 'Bismarck' to its doom.
    Space is often conceived of in nautical terms as the "Sea of Space" and all these starships are designed like naval vessels. Aircraft carriers, battleships and destroyers all have bridges at the highest points of their ships.
    RISING MALEVOLENCE:
    Kel Dor Master Plo Koon appeared in the Prequel trilogy.
    The "Not to me." line by Plo regarding the value he places on his troops speaks volumes about Plo's character.
    Plo Koon, my favorite supporting Jedi, is voiced by the same guy who voices Kenobi, James Arnold Taylor.
    The deep bond between Ahsoka and Plo Koon is revealed.

    The introduction of Commander Wolffe. He's the unarmored clone in the pod and is the clone associated with Plo just like Cody is associated with Kenobi and Rex is associated with Anakin.

    The Separatist secret weapon is an ion cannon which disrupts electrical systems like an EMP. We've seen the Rebels use this weapon on Hoth to target Star Destroyers as they evacuated the base in "Empire Strikes Back".
    I like how "Rising Malevolence" makes the normally clownish droids seem cruel and threatening as they mercilessly rupture the lifepods.
    We get to see Anakin's personal starship, the jalopy from Teth dubbed the 'Twilight', in action again.
    SHADOW OF MALEVOLENCE:
    Ahsoka didn't get much credit but she schooled her Master in "Shadow", the first lesson of many.

    The introduction of Kaminoan physician Nala Se. She took a heroic stance to remain by her patients.

    The comment Ahsoka makes about Anakin not liking her flying is in reference to an episode that was produced earlier but is set later in the chronology. This is one of the minor discrepancies with the chronological order that fans have caught but Disney missed.
    DESTROY MALEVOLENCE:
    Palpatine must love constantly tipping off Dooku about Republic activities only to watch his own "team" scramble to plug the leak like headless chickens. In this episode, he actually sets Padme up!
    I like how the 'Malevolence' is so massive that it requires a high-speed railway system built into its structure to transport crew and components along its length!
    This is the first time we see secret husband and wife, Padme and Anakin, operate as a team in the show and they even get a little flirtatious with each other on the railway.

    Since Grievous and Anakin's first face-to-face confrontation is in "Revenge of the Sith", the producers take great pains to ensure the two Generals never meet in the series except for a couple of starfighter skirmishes and one brief exchange.

    The 'Twilight' from Teth is back in action for Padme's rescue.

    Anthony Daniels always provides the voice of C-3PO.
    ROOKIES (DOMINO SQUAD II):
    This episode is meant to be seen some time after "Clone Cadets" (Season 3, Episode 1) which introduces Domino Squad.
    The clones at the Rishi outpost were the Domino cadets.
    Droidbait was shot at the entryway after shouting "Droids!", Cut-up was devoured by the eel and Hevy made the hero play by detonating the bomb.
    Cut-up and Hevy were the two cadets who came up with identities for themselves during the first Domino episode.
    Hevy left his graduation medal with 99 on Kamino to be retrieved upon his return.
    This leaves Echo and Fives as the sole survivors of Domino Squad.
    The introduction of the commando droid. They're smarter, more dexterous, more heavily armored and are equipped with edged weapons. They would have made much more threatening antagonists if used in the Prequels!
    You seem to like Kenobi's clone, Commander Cody, but never forget that he will betray Kenobi by firing upon him on Utapau in "Revenge of the Sith".
    This is one of the out-of-sequence discrepancies in the chronological order. Episode 5 is LINKED to Season 3 Episode 2, "ARC Troopers", telling one CONNECTED story about the INVASION OF KAMINO. If you see them together in Season 1, the invasion will have little impact because you haven't spent much time with the squad. I prefer to place this DUOLOGY at the start of SEASON 2.

    The clone voice actor starts doing some variations for them as the series goes.

    Lots of reactors do the series in chronological order in the show, rather than just watching the series in release order. I prefer it this way, because it's so much simpler to just watch the show. You'd spend half your time trying to figure out when to stop and change seasons for an episode, then go back to where you were again. The entire point of the show going back is so that once you get to know the characters you care more about them even more when you find out their back story.
