      Hello there, please, when you have also watched episode 1 to 3, then go watch Rogue One, that is not an episode itself, but link episode 3 and 4 together and do not tamper with the original material and is in fact even using some of the original footage made back then and original "1977 Star Wars" style props to make it fit right in, which is also why it was so expensive to make. In respect of the originals.

    Jake Lloyd was the actor who played Anakin. Unfortunately it was the worst decision for his life, because after the movie came out he was bullied a ton at school and was constantly harassed by the press as well. Whether this is the cause or not, he developed schizophrenia, and got into quite a bit of trouble (physically assaulting his mom, who refused to press charges, a high speed police chase after running a red light without actually having a driver's license and resisting arrest after). He was in jail for 10 months after the police chase, after which he was transferred to a psychiatric facility. In 2020 he was moved closer to his family and it was made known by them that he suffers from paranoid schizophrenia.
    It's a sad case, because a ton of it is not his fault.

    The Jedi council would not believe that the mystery attacker was a Sith warrior when Qui Gon Jinn reported him to them. At his funeral Mace Vindu says to Yoda "there is no doubt the mysterious warrior was a Sith". They would only believe the Sith were back after the guy who told them was killed. This is bad. Qui Gon told them there was a guy with "Jedi" powers. They were all, no way man! Except for Yoda, he said "hard to see the dark side is". That is a pun! Yoda should do his "Miss Piggy" laugh. 😀

    Jake Lloyd was in a psychiatric hospital where he remained for many months. Then in a press release published in early 2020, his family reveals that he left the establishment and that he benefits from medical monitoring at home, surrounded by all his family. "Jake suffers from paranoid schizophrenia, one of the symptoms of which is anosognosia," she explained.
    Anosognosia is a neuropsychological disorder whose consequence is that the patient with a disease or disability does not seem to be aware of his condition. “We are all working very hard to help him,” insisted his family, assuring that he was “making progress”, and confident in the fact of “finding the joyful and playful personality that was his as soon as possible. Bruh i agree that Duel of the Fates is pretty awesome but you have to be on crack if you are seriously gonna sit here and tell me that Battle of the Heroes in Ep.3 isnt on a whole different level. Here in EP.1 you can clearly see that its choreographed and that its not a real fight, but in EP.3 (for the most part) that shit feels raw and real and is so much faster, refined and creative. No comparison in my opinion.

    • @darkphoenix2
      @darkphoenix2 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@datzfatz2368 No, I think episode 3's fight feels more choreographed. The moment where they're both twirling their sabers for a few seconds just to do one swing? The way they move all over the place into more and more dangerous areas to fight? It's far more flashy than the style of Episode 1.

    • @datzfatz2368
      @datzfatz2368 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@darkphoenix2 well yeah thats what i mean with "mostly", some parts of the fight suffer heavily from Prequel goofyness. But thats the same for EP1 tho, like how Maul just stands there like a deer in the headlights when Obi does a full 5 second long flip over him and cuts him in half and he doesnt even try to dodge/block/interrupt/anything?? Or the perfectly syncronized sabertwirl when Maul and Obi seperate?
      I dunno i just feel like Ep3s fight has much higher highs (like how fast and agressive they both are, that they are actually striking at the opponents body and get reacted to and not just smack their swords together most of the time, proper swordguards and holds, how much they use grappeling and kicks, etc. etc.) than Ep1 where you have pretty obvious choreo to only hit the sword of your opponent all the time and an overall much slower pace.

    The other "Yoda"-creature is a Jedi Master called Yaddle. In Legends canon she sacrificies herself to save Anakin and Obi-Wan sometime between episodes 1 and 2. In current canon it's unknown what happens to her but probably a similiar fate as she doesn't matter in Episode 2 onwards.

    Since you're great with the small details, the ships the Trade Federation uses against the good guys in the space battle at the end are actually droids, so they're different from TIE fighters. They don't have an actual pilot since they are essentially just flying versions of the battle droids on the ground, and are very creatively named "Droid Starfighters". This is actually significant in the sense that during this time of the Repbublic, the enemies were using droids for their military because they were cheaper and could be mass-produced and remotely controlled to do whatever was needed. This comes into play later on in the timeline which is why in the originals you see stormtroopers and not droids as the military force of the bad guys :) (also I hade one of these as a toy when I was little and it was awesome lol

    1. Of the prequels I like this one the best mostly for the POD race and the underwater sequences,
    2. Jar Jar is mostly comic relief since we don't have C3PO
    3. Liam Neeson was very busy with various productions at the time and was in huge demand and
    agreed to do this episode because Qui-Gon Jinn dies and he won't be obligated to do more.
    4. How Jar Jar becomes a "general" is beyond me.
    5. It's easy to know why this one didn't start the series because of the lack of CGI back in 1977.

    18:45 - The other you speak of, is Yaddle. The only known(!) female of Yoda's species.
    20:50 - Think back to something Qui-Gon said to Anakin's mother: "Had he been born in the Republic, we would have identified him early." During the time of the Jedi, babies were tested for their Midichlorian count (sensitivity to The Force). Those children with a strong enough connection were usually taken by the Jedi Order, and trained from a very young age. That is why Anakin was judged to be "too old" at the age of 9 years.
    26:05 - "Oh, the music!" Yes, this piece is titled "Duel of the Fates", and is indeed one of the most fantastic pieces of movie music ever created. John Williams in indeed the master.
    26:26 - Maul is a "Zabrac". If you watch the animated series' you will see more of them.

    19:34 I love the scene in the Senate, because it shows how influential two Sith Lords (just *TWO* !) have become in the galaxy. 968 years after the Sith "extinction", and the Republic has been reduced to nothing but greedy special interests (TBH, this science "fiction" hits a little too close to home). I mean, *corporations* have their own Senate seats! There's just such an anarchy simmering under the surface. Now it all makes sense that the galaxy would eventually embrace a Sith dictator to swoop in and bring order to this mess.

Still a good movie that I'll happily rewatch but you can tell George got a bit carried away in some places namely in how much screen time Jar Jar eats up being the biggest one. That and Midichlorions are two things I just can't look past. That aside the action is awesome, Qui-gon's a freaking badass and his dynamic with Obi-wan is great. The story is a bit slow to start but I still find it engaging and pretty relatable too. Plus the perfect way they show Palpatine's manipluation of these events is so good to watch.
