I am so glad you finally reviewed an Indian Airline. Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport is indeed very beautiful and is perfect for plane spotting. What makes plane spotting there better is the fact that the plane spotting area is the food court so you can sit with a nice meal and plane spot! Can someone please tell me what was happening with the 737 and in which video the youtuber explained it

I don't know why your viewers from Europe is being racist towards India. India is currently the 5th largest economy in the world. India has developed a lot. Everything in India depends on area you are staying. India has some of the super developed areas like Gurgaon, Aerocity, etc. but also very poor areas.

I agree. The full service carriers in India are way above the European and North American airlines in terms of service. Even in a transcontinental flight in North America, you are served may be a pretzel and a beverage. Also, Delhi Airport was constructed way before Mumbai Airport. Hence, it's different in terms of the design. If you see the new terminal of Bengaluru, it is way better than the Mumbai Airport. Btw, I hope you enjoyed your stay in Mumbai and Delhi.
Ask any foreigner and they will never agree that Bangalore airport looks better than Mumbai. You probably never explored Mumbai airport terminal due to its huge size.

But yeah, foreign airlines dont arrive at T2 of Bangalore yet, only a few domestic airlines are arriving and departing from T2, so many foreigners might not know about it. Regardless, Bangalore's T2 also looks equally beautiful as T2 of Mumbai

No se imagina lo que era el aeropuerto, de terror, algo nas que un inmenso galpón, volamos desde ahí hasta El Cairo en un viejo 707 de air India, un vuelo horrible en el que casi no nos dieron nada de comer, un espanto. What you say is true. I am resident of Delhi and up until 1985, it was just like a big warehouse, just like a big house. It was a disgrace. Then, another terminal got built around 1985 and the present one is the third terminal that opened in 2010. There will be another international airport coming up around 100 km from Delhi in the next two years. At that time, airport and airport maintenance was controlled by government., so nobody gave a damn. Delhi population in 1979 was around 4 million, now it is 22 million and the greater NCR region has a population of around 70 million.

Looks like a nice, smooth flight and decent service. Back in the day, it was Indian Airlines (now defunct) and Jet Airways that used to be the main regional carriers and they were both good, but this looks much better.
Hello there. Another excellent trip report. The airport in Mumbai looks spectacular - lots of open space to move about. Strange why you have to take a bus to the aircraft for boarding? The closest thing I have had to that was flying from Prestwick, Scotland to Toronto, Canada with Wardair Canada during the 1980s. You actually walked out on the tarmac and boarded the plane using one of the old step-style stairs. The airline (Vistara) seem to be well-organized in everything related to passenger comfort on their flights. Keep up the excellent work!

Don't know if I will ever travel to that part of the world, but from what I have seen on your videos, it definitely would be an interesting experience.

It’s a completely different airport from my last and only trip to Bombay (as it was known in 1974). It was also called Santa Cruz in them days. Mumbai was certainly an eye-opening city back then.
Great trip report mi amigo...Vistara certainly is a great airline, however it is due to merge with Air India by 2024. Hopefully, they match the service standards of Vistara post merger. ¡Mucho amor desde la India!
Very good trip report. I like all from you :). I definitely prefer this airports. I think the european airports are boring in contrast to the indian ones. Unfortunately I was never in India.
Its a shame Vistara is getting merged with AI. Vistara really created a brand and a loyal customer base, who appreciated quality and excellence. With the merger with AI this will get diluted
May be due to what you write Vistara will not be merged immediately. Otherwise it would have been done. After all KLM and Air France are 2 separate entities, altough belonging to the same group !

A ese 737, lo están revisando para venderlo, solo tiene un motor activo para ver si tiene los mismos kms que el otro, ya que puede haber sido reemplazado por uno de desgüace. Aparte esos tubos gordos que manejan los colegas es para meterle lubricante nuevo para mejorar la compresión, por tener los segmentos desgastados de tanto trote. Luego está el tema del no sé qué de la APU, que debe de ser un señor jubilado que suele pasar por el aeropuerto a dar la brasa, diciendo que no se que de que en sus tiempos no había tantas chorradas, y que con 4 bridas y un alicate volaban con dos cojon…s. En definitiva que el señor APU no quiere más rollos y dice que no cuenten con él y se busquen la vida para volar el tastarro ese. Precioso el vídeo, impresiona los diferentes contrastes de las zonas habitadas, distinguiendo las diferencias sociales. Gracias!
6:39 If I remember correctly, those people had to clean up the fuel overflow from the 737's wing? Also, you picked a nice day to fly out of Mumbai with relatively less pollution (although I imagine you still had to edit it out)!
The APU isn't working so they started the engine via airstart on stand. When the pushback is completed they cross bleed to the other engine depending on what engine they started first.

There are few facts which you have mentioned wrong, which I would to correct you on. i.e., Delhi is most populated city of India, not Mumbai. Delhi has around 33 million population, and Mumbai has around 22 million. Delhi area in terms of size is around 1,500 sq. km2, and Mumbai's is 600 sq. km2.

Hola Lucas , no he podido ver el vídeo hasta hoy Lunes he estado muy ocupado y la verdad si que me ha sorprendido el Aeropuerto de Bombay es muy bonito me ha impresionado y la línea Aérea Vistara tiene un servicio excelente que pocas compañías dan hoy en día y espero que no lo pierdan con la fusión. Lo del Avión ya me imaginaba que le faltaba la APU y más con la pista que has dado era fácil. Simplemente India es todo un mundo de contrastes pero vivir en esa densidad yo me agobiaría. Un abrazo
Looks like a nice, smooth flight and decent service. Back in the day, it was Indian Airlines (now defunct) and Jet Airways that used to be the main regional carriers and they were both good, but this looks much better.

Hello there. Another excellent trip report. The airport in Mumbai looks spectacular - lots of open space to move about. Strange why you have to take a bus to the aircraft for boarding? The closest thing I have had to that was flying from Prestwick, Scotland to Toronto, Canada with Wardair Canada during the 1980s. You actually walked out on the tarmac and boarded the plane using one of the old step-style stairs. The airline (Vistara) seem to be well-organized in everything related to passenger comfort on their flights. Keep up the excellent work!

It’s a completely different airport from my last and only trip to Bombay (as it was known in 1974). It was also called Santa Cruz in them days.
Mumbai was certainly an eye-opening city back then.

Its a shame Vistara is getting merged with AI. Vistara really created a brand and a loyal customer base, who appreciated quality and excellence. With the merger with AI this will get diluted

A ese 737, lo están revisando para venderlo, solo tiene un motor activo para ver si tiene los mismos kms que el otro, ya que puede haber sido reemplazado por uno de desgüace. Aparte esos tubos gordos que manejan los colegas es para meterle lubricante nuevo para mejorar la compresión, por tener los segmentos desgastados de tanto trote. Luego está el tema del no sé qué de la APU, que debe de ser un señor jubilado que suele pasar por el aeropuerto a dar la brasa, diciendo que no se que de que en sus tiempos no había tantas chorradas, y que con 4 bridas y un alicate volaban con dos cojon…s. En definitiva que el señor APU no quiere más rollos y dice que no cuenten con él y se busquen la vida para volar el tastarro ese.

Also, you picked a nice day to fly out of Mumbai with relatively less pollution (although I imagine you still had to edit it out)!
The APU isn't working so they started the engine via airstart on stand. When the pushback is completed they cross bleed to the other engine depending on what engine they started first.

There are few facts which you have mentioned wrong, which I would to correct you on. i.e., Delhi is most populated city of India, not Mumbai.
Delhi has around 33 million population, and Mumbai has around 22 million. Delhi area in terms of size is around 1,500 sq. km2, and Mumbai's is 600 sq. km2.
