Sony shooter here👋🏻 only less than a year into amateur photo, and amateur video. I own an fx30 and an a7rv and love both of them for their respective reasons. Both have taught me so much about the craft in such short amounts of time, and I’ve adapted to feel very confident with both of them at in my arsenal.
I also work full time creating content for marketing at an agency, but I only shoot CANON there, with the R5 and R5C. So I have learned to adapt to each and love and hate their quirks.
Anyway, I’m completely looking for a small-sized travel cam that can fit in my pocket but packs a punch. I was really wanting the x100vi for a long time, I was on the waitlist, but saw the xt50 and saw it as a much more viable option because of the interchangeable lenses and all of the specs that are somewhat better than the x100vi. I personally see the sim dial and the rounded design as benefits, only because I’m completely new to Fuji. I know the price sucks but I’d end up paying the same amount for the x100vi or even the v used, and then be stuck with just the fixed lens anyway. I will primarily use a 27 pancake for everyday shooting, but still want the ability to change/buy new lenses in the future.
Therefore I’m stoked for this camera! This is my outsider opinion, as an amateur and primarily a Sony shooter!
I pre ordered mine today :)
Nice Body and like the improvement on the kit lens. Had the original and it was great. Nice update and combo here! But that price??? Ouch!!
1:59 Nice seeing a piece of home.
Is the x-t50 capable of digital zoom crop like the x100vi from 35mm -50-70 (ff equivalent)? TIA!
Yes, the new FUJIFILM X-T50 features a 1.4x and 2x digital teleconverter for expanding your framing capabilities. >Mark
Should be a good, small camera. Too bad it uses the older, less powerful battery ! If it uses the same battery as the XS20, XT5 I might consider buying.
Does it shoot open gate ?
Yes
So the x100vi is the fuji flagship camera now?😄
Those camera whores tell the customer what they want. For a price.
how many card slots?
One, from what I've seen in vids.
One, with an option for three
informative content
1:42 Dude, why are you taking photos of tables with shutter speed 1/3000 ???????
table might run bro :D
" I think it stands for custom, but I don't realluy know. "
C is for cinematography
No ibis?
It has IBIS.
Are you serious? My X-T20 leaves this thing for dust. The X-T20 gives me rapid one touch access to a range of functions via the D-Pad (film sims, recipes, ISO, focus point) and the drive dial (Bracketing, CL, CH), as well as stock stuff via fn buttons (SS, Aperture, Exposure Comp). Without the drive dial, D-Pad and ability to customise the film sim dial for recipes, I lose most of this one-touch functionality.
Meanwhile influencers masquerading as reviewers are wetting themselves over an unnecessary increase in megapixels. While studiously ignoring the significant reduction in functionality for enthusiastic JPEG shooters such as myself, who Fuji have kicked in the nuts and clearly have abandoned as a target customer group. And we are expected to swallow the lie that this is progress, whilst paying through the nose for the ‘privilege’.
The X-T50 has AF and responsiveness that absolutely leave the X-T20 in another galaxy.
@@Raist3db It really doesn’t, most folk won’t notice the difference in most real world situations. Meanwhile, the one touch functionality that made the X-T20 a great camera has been junked to appease the point and shoot Instagram crowd.
@@northernhound3899 I can tell you that as someone who tried the X-T5 for 3 weeks, and tried at a Fuji event the X-T50 today, yes, the AF is that much superior to the X-T20's. This doesn't mean the X-T20 is useless but if one camera is leaving the other in the dust that would be the X-T50.
Exactly this. I'm still waiting for a decent camera worth upgrading from X-T20
@@northernhound3899 It really does. You have to be kidding me to say the AF is not a difference in the real world. The difference is HUGE in AF and in responsiveness. But that said, if the X-T20 works for you by all means def. Keep using it, nothing wrong with that.
His comment "the X100VI, which you probably never heard of" and "get this while you wait for your X100VI to ship"... so that justifies the title? Lame, as well as inaccurate. FYI ... the X100 series is the only series with a leaf shutter.
It's already backordered. Never learn from X100VI fiasco?
Fuji make cameras based on ordering patterns, it avoids them having to sell overstock off at discounted rates. It is likely less costly and more profitable to have fewer sales than too much stock sat in a warehouse after sales die down. They know exactly what they are doing.
We don’t need those new bodies, we need new 18/2 and 60/2.4
Fuji makes way too may cameras. Why does this exist???
Lame camera
Fuji obviously couldn't think about anything useful to put on the left dial, so they put those sim modes, totally useless for anybody shooting raw, which everybody self-respecting photographer does.
Can’t you apply the film sims to raw in Lightroom / CO and adjust from there?
@@loganwebb5449 you can apply the same profiles and more in LR, the sim dial has no effect on raw, it's totally useless.
Not everyone wants to post-process all the time. Plus they help you visualise different shots in-camera
@@johnnyguitar2 You look at a picture more than you spend on editing it. If you are saying you don't want to bother spending a few seconds on post processing, why would anybody spend any time looking at those pictures.
Any 'self respecting photographer' wouldn't choose a body like that anyway, I use fuji jpegs most of the time when I am not doing any paid work. Fuji is clearly not targeting professionals with that camera
Wow did you guys hear and see that???
When he was talking about the autofocus and tracking features, he showed a picture of a black guy at a basketball court and said, “it focused good even in tricky lighting situations.” He was referring how dark he was compared to whole picture. What a subtle racist comment B&H!!
