    I really appreciate your great videos. However, I’m always looking at techniques to evaluate how I can detail better. Sometimes it’s difficult to understand your technique due to the slow motion editing of the RO polisher passes. I can’t tell if you’re taking your time on the surface or going faster.

    Great job on your many videos. I am learning alot on the steps you take to prep a vehicle before compounding & polishing. I am wondering what you use to remove the residue after claying? Do you just wipe it away then start to polish or do you use a prep solvent to clean the detail spray residue off ? You don't show it so l am wondering. Most other detail channels use some type of IPA spray or other prep solvent to clean before starting to polish. Great job by the way, enjoy all of your videos. How about more on the Detail products line.

    I did my car last week with ultimate compound, ultimate polish, and gold class wax, but I still have some deeper scratches left on the bonnet and roof. Would this system get rid of those scratches? I think it's from the previous owner taking the BMW trough the carwash.

    you should do a video with a car with rock chips that become rust spots. How do you fix those

    • @protonicstorm7228
      @protonicstorm7228 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are many ways to touch up, key thing to remember is touch up is only to protect the paint and not to make perfect although one can get pretty close.
      1. Use a paper clip to clean rust out of the chip.
      2. Apply a rust converter.
      3. Apply touch up paint using an ultra fine brush or cocktail stick.
      For clearcoat fnishes always mix 50% base coat with 50% clearcoat and apply that.
      As it's difficult to apply clear over the base coat in a stone chip and have a level surface.
      Then use a cotton bud with a dab of thinners on it and finely brush against the chip until it's smooth and level against the paint be careful not to remove too much paint or you will have to re touch up, one can also use 3000 grit wet and dry sandpaper to level the stone chips.
      Once smooth and level use ultimate compound on a dual action polisher to blend the chips into the paint and or to remove sanding marks.

    I recently used the 2 step process for the second time, this time was on my red mustang but I thought I would go one step further and lay another coat of wax by hand by another brand that I had for hand application only, its not come out as planned and wish I had never touched it so can I just hit it again with microbibre and megs wax or will I have to strip all other wax back off to allow just the new megs microbibre wax be the only finish again on the surface ? Is there any other megs waxes you would suggest for adding for future maintenance rather than megs micro wax stage or should I just repeat

Both will give fantastic results, the microfiber system in 2 steps and the Ultimate in 3. The microfibre system must be applied via a DA machine in order for it to cut efficiently.
