A pity that all patina was removed to leave what now appears as just a brand new car… But I understand this is US style restoration where everything must be shiny, we do these things very differently in Europe/UK.
The colour is correct: blue français (the same colour as the flag of france); but the paint is not matte. The paint shiny. We have one original Bugatti Type 35 in Portugal (Museu do Caramulo) and i saw several Bugatti Type 35 and Type 37 in the Musee National de France in Strasbourg and the paint in many of them is still original and is shiny and not matte. And when these museum restores any Bugatti they have the original references and i think they are not wrong. Also all the books of original Bugatti show all the paint shining.

Good to see Brumos kept the original finishes: no swirl-machining of engine or firewall, no 'Bugatti bling'.
