🇬🇧/🇺🇸 1924 Bugatti Type 35 (cyclekart).
So, why?
The original T35 and the brand Bugatti itself are a source of inspiration for me. The car was a very successful one, in 1929 the car won the Grand Prix of Monaco.
The T-35 is a one of its kind and if I have to believe owners on the internet, there is nothing quite like this car. Unfortinately I don't have the funds to buy an original Bugatti but I am trying to recreate the feeling and experience by making this cyclekart. In addition, by making a project like this you gain a lot of knowledge and that, as I said, is priceless and no one can take it away from you.
So far the project has cost me around 200-300 hours, spread over 1 year.
The second part of the video is expected to come around summer 2023, see you then!

Waarom dit project?
Naast het merk Bugatti is de orginele T35 een bron van inspiratie. De auto was een zeer succesvolle, in 1929 won de auto de Grand Prix van Monaco.
De T-35 is een bijzondere in zijn soort en, als ik eigenaren op het internet moet geloven, is er niks anders dan de belevenis wat deze auto bewerkstelligd. Nu ben ik niet in de gelegenheid om een orginele Bugatti te kopen (helaas) toch probeer ik met het maken van deze cyclekart het gevoel en de beleving een soort van te recreëren. Daarnaast win je met het maken van een project als deze een heleboel kennis en dat is, zoals ik al zei, onbetaalbaar en neemt niemand je af.
Het project heeft mij tot dusverre zo rond de 200-300 uur gekost, verdeeld over 1 vol kalenderjaar.
Het tweede deel van de video komt naar verwachting rond de zomer van 2023, tot dan!

I also start the cycle kart project a few weeks before, But it was not like any company model it was a completely customized design of the cycle kart by myself. I just took company models for my reference and your work boost me up higher, your kart looks sooooooooooo amazing, and honestly from my heart, your work is also for my reference to build my Cycle kart... Heel gaaf! Zit al langer met bewondering naar cyclekarts te kijken en me af te vragen waarom dat hier niet zo populair is als in Amerika.

otimo trabalho, parabens, venho buscando informações e vendo muitos videos para iniciar o meu, Aqui no Brasil não é muito popular esse tipo de veiculo, mas gosto muito dos modelos antigos nas diversas versões. Como voce iniciou seu projeto, voce utiliza de modelos e fotos na internet? quais as principais variaveis necessariais para começar a criar um modelo seja no papel, seja no computador em 3D, tenho algumas habilidades mas pouco conhecimento a respeito para iniciar. obrigado

Well done, knew Bugatti was successful on races with tiny cars but how much smaller is you DIY build compared to the original?
I think around 65 to 75% scale of the original T-35.

I've been thinking about building the same car for a whole year now) but I can't find suitable springs)
@@user-jg4lc4xn6u I wasn’t able to get them from the USA so what I did was getting them from an old trailer and cut it in the right length.
Where are you from if it's not a secret?) another question is, did you also use the spindles from karting?) and the steering shaft?)

Disasemble a kart to build a Cyclecar, is a downgrade!
Both are actually fun, but that is my opinion.
@jdh997 No doubt! but clearly the Cyclecar is slower (not less funny, by the way) in that way, is a downgrade. In the other hand, it can run in a sort of surfaces, operation costs are lower and aesthetically, is much more attractive. A kart rear axle is intended to give high turn speed and low resistance and flexion, so, use it in a Cyclecar means you use a piece wich give a performance much higher than the needed. I would have keept the Kart and built a rear axle by using mild iron. I know, is too greed :) but is what I would had did.
Way too heavy.
It is ‘heavy’ but it drives perfectly to be honest. My next CK will be lighter.
