    How about a rail system that you can hang kitchen utensils on, and hang a little bucket to hold your silverware items. Or just use a Velcro command strip on the wall to hold the bucket. Love the pup eating her green beans! So cute

    This was really good. I got some good ideas for our class C (B+) I keep changing what I store in the cabinets in the kitchen area, I’m still not quite settled. (Going on 2 years ☺️) The bikes in the truck are a good idea, out of the weather and a bit harder for vandals.
    And the rug!! Got to check that out as well. Thanks for sharing guys 💕

  • @natandjosh
    @natandjosh ปีที่แล้ว +2

    So interesting to see the process of organizing your new camper. We got our first van last summer and the process of figuring out how to organize is ... ongoing, lol. We ended up taking the medicine cabinet mirror down and installing small bungee cords with small command strip hooks. But now we still need a place for at least a small mirror. For the kitchen drawer... a roll-out drawer might work to create an easy drawer, if you can find one that fits the space. But of course you're pros at this and may have already considered it. Thanks for the tip about the sand mat. Looks like a great way have an outdoor rug without taking up too much storage space.

    With May Lance to Dodge Ram TDI , we used a 5-step adjustable step folding, it was just easier to climb in for dogs and 5’ tall wife, vs 6’4” husband . Our p/u bed was 40” most of time courtesy of airbags.

    My camper had one step that was too high, so I found a two step on Amazon & switched out the entire step system. You can do the same for multiple steps. Just google RV 3 step folding steps. As for the quick connect - I put one on each end of my hoses, so screwing into the faucet it a brreeze. Just don't forget to remove the stem when you release it. Home Depot has them much cheaper than Amazon. Love your videos.

    You may be able to pull the toilet and remount or spin the floor mount a little so the toilet mounts at an angle the the wall. You will need a new wax gasket so you don’t have a leak when you set the toilet back down on the mount. I believe RV toilets use wax seals, I may be wrong, but there will be a seal.

    Closet storage: I recently saw where someone took the standard wire shelving, cut it to size with a hacksaw, and used Command hooks to mount them on the walls.
    Silverware storage: Ikea sells some nice kitchen wall storage pieces, particularly the Kungfors Rail system. I'm thinking that you can easily mount it to the wall to the left of the sink.

    You should send all this add ons and redo to the company that made your camper. They can improve the next model. Also, you should be a test user for prototypes so the really have people use them before production. These are things that should have gone through quality control. No drawers is crazy. I like the Lance campers, don't know how they compare in price but they are nice! My dogs eat green beans too! And most other veggies!

    First off, Dave, you are such a softy (like me). Saying the magic words (gr**n b*×ns) just so you can feed some to Pistol. I absolutely love it. Our cat has me doing much the same. Secondly, when I was a ranch cowboy, I used state that with bailing wire (later, bailing twine) and duct tape, I could fix just about anything. You have proved my point with the medicine cabinet. Lastly, Irene, when you make sourdough bread and eat it in front of us, you'd better have enough to share. (Just kidding of course!) That loaf was perfection!!! I am excited for the coming adventures you two (three, sorry Pistol) will be having with your new home. Carey On!

    You could unscrew the little rod sticking up from the shower knob. Just turn the knob. EZ-PZ! If you inadvertently forget to turn off the cut off valve you could get drenched again, I really like the shut off at the shower head. We use ours all the time. Great for water conservation.
    I like the duct tape idea. Those plastic cabinets are pretty flimsy. I wonder if the pressure rods will distort or crack the plastic??
    How about some drawers in the tall cabinet rather than shelves? Is there enough room between the panels and the sink and cooktop to put a very shallow tray - you know, you see them in houses. The panels could tip out out and your silver ware could reside there.
    For some really clever storage and mod ideas, check out the Escape Trailer and Casita Trailer forums.

      The recipe is just a handwritten note I have. I need to get it up on the website sometime! This was a sourdough loaf and no problem with rise. We are in Florida though so temp is not an issue. We have made many yeasted doughs without issue in cooler temps. I just wrap the bowl in a towel and put in a sunny window. If you don’t have sun at all that could be a problem.
