We lived on a boat for 7 years, so i can relate to how quickly cupboards and spaces can get out of control. Kudos for tackling this...and publically too!

@@garbinator09 Getting older. Plus, the increased loss of value of the boat. It took 3 years to sell the boat and then at a loss. It's a longer story.
@@jackbyrd381 In my younger days, I used to dream about living on a sailboat off the coast of California, back then Argosy magazine had written several articles about sailing, makemaking me wish I could live the lifestyle. I never did.
I had a 60ft houseboat that was about a year old it looked like a floating mobile home with vinyl siding, a wrap around porch and a 30ft sun deck on the roof in the 90's in the Honey island swamp outside of New Orleans. I sure wish I still had it.

Lived in San Diego while in Jr. College and loved Anza Borrego State Park. Another great state park is down the road, in Arizona along the Colorado River, near Yuma - Picacho State Recreation Area. Only drawback might be the 20 mile simi-graded gravel road to get out there - you might have to fix up your cabinets again after driving it!
Wow! What a vast difference between the barren rocks and dry-looking brush and the lushness of America’s beautiful forested parks.

I used to drive truck down to Ocotillo Wells near where you are. The blooming cacti were phenomenal and the sunrises were amazing. Perfect pancakes by the way Catherine :)

2:04 There's some primo California nature for you. Man-made shrines to a cleaner solution while ironically littering the desert. Almost as unsightly as solar farms.
I screwed two eyelets into the wall and stretched a 12" bungee between them. They secure my spices on my counter beautifully, allowing me to have various-shapes and number of spice containers.
I've been sleeping in my car for a while and felt bad for a while. Now I'm having fun with it. Cooking 🍳. At my local park is fun .every thing u say and do makes me smile thank you for your videos. Cowboy john norco California horse Town USA 🇺🇸
I love days where I can "putter" in my truck camper when traveling. Relaxing day in all the traveling to perfect campsites.
When on 4x4 adventures in my Jeep, you need a day to relax and enjoy your destinations special aspects.
Oh, I saw the prefect "extra shelves" at Costco the other day. Would fit perfect in RV cabinets.
I can relate! I heard noises in my camper as I took a corner. When I pulled over and saw what happened- yet again- it was my native animal totum statue; A piece I adored and one that reminded me of wisdom. The legs and antlers of one- and parts of the other totum animals, just broken. Oh SO sad. I finally gave up and tossed it because I had no more wisdom than a fruit fly. But now, as I look back it's wisdom born of pain.

I actually cringed then laughed out loud when you opened that cupboard. I'm obsessed with organizing. My pantry at home looks like a supermarket aisle, same with my refrigerator. My wife thinks I'm crazy. It's nice to see you back in my backyard. I live in So Cal (all my life) and Anza Borrego, Coachella Valley, and Joshua Tree are my winter desert playground. The San Bernardino Mountains the San Jacinto, and the San Gabriel Mountains are where I play when the temperatures begin to rise. Welcome back.
They give new meaning to WIND in Anza Borrego! Have been fortunate enough to have spent two weeks there in the winter the past two years. I love it. My favorite thing to do is hike south on the PCT over at Scissors Crossing. Last year we were there in March and I got to see lots of through hikers heading north. Best little hippie town of Borrego Springs. I’m jealous! Thanks for this one.
I'm a truck driver, and cook a lot of meals. If I have large boxes of food I put it in large zip lock bags. I cut the directions out of the box. Stick the directions in a small zip lock fold and place in the larger bag. Cuts way down on space.
Catherine. I noticed in your videos that your camper is always moving around when the wind is blowing. Especially, in today's video. Anyhow, If you put your Jack's down on your camper and slightly put pressure on them it will stabilize your camper dramatically. Great for windy days or just walking around in your camper. Hope this helps.

i use a small strip of Velcro on the bottom too keep my bins from sliding around . Also on small plant or decor items. You can learn a lot from the sail boat people when it comes to tying stuff down.. Duct tape...velcro...epoxy.. always good to have. 3M products are good.
I always like the part where you show cooking your meals and that according to me is the best part of your vlogs. keep up the good stuff and have fun with creating quality content.

What a coincidence, just before watching your video today I was tackling my desk drawers which resemble your cabinets. I think almost everyone has these areas where we shove things until we have no choice but to deal with it. Quite a beautiful spot you're in there as well, seems very peaceful. Be safe!

Hi Catherine Way to go on the Decluttering the clutter super proud of you here is an idea you might like tension rods and the Bins are a bonus for you that way you can lift out the bin and pull out what you need and then put back
I find it helpful to hold light weight items on the back-side of the doors. Such as rolls of saran wrap, aluminum foil , wax paper , freezer bags . It frees up space for the most used items that can be stored lower.

HI Catherine, When I used to work on sportfishing yachts as a finish carpenter, I learned a trick for keeping things in place while underway. We would pack balloons into the voids between things in the cabinets. Balloons in garbage bags for bigger areas. You might find a good use for this trick too. Smiling, George.

If your spices are on the work top will the sun remove the flavour. Plastic containers are good for storing stuff. Stackable ones with lids are good as they would also keep unwanted "friends".

Spice rack: think Velcro! Just run an adhesive strip on your wall/back splash; put a small patch on each spice/herb jar. No rack on the counter taking up space. Works almost too easily.

Good Sunday morning to you Catherine! Great job organizing your home. The Anza-Boreggo nature preserve is an amazing place in spring when the desert blooms prevail. The nature center there is worth checking out as well as the sculpted metal dinosaurs that an artist has created and placed in various spots around the area. The spine filled Ocatillo plant becomes full of green leaves and beautiful flowers. I noticed a few red blooms that you captured. As always, love you and be safe! 💖🙏

I can so relate. I lived in my travel trailer for six years. The spaces are so specifically sized so you have to measure to find baskets and shelves that will maximize the space. I got slightly woven plastic soft sided baskets from the 99¢ store that fit my space better so canned goods that were odd shaped could fit either on top or under those Walmart wire shelves. So that way things didn’t come rolling out when I opened the cupboards. Lol. I’ve never been to anza borega. I’d really like to go one day soon. Glad you are finding good solutions to your unique organization needs living in a house on wheels

I visited the Anza Borrego area years ago. You speak of military activity. I was walking a trail, it was so quiet out there when suddenly coming towards me, flying very low is an F-14. It scared the daylights out of me.😀 Thanks for sharing. The ocotillo bloom is gorgeous with the sunrise in the background.

Canned goods, I built wire rack with casters and slide under the fridge. I emptied 10x10 storage locker into my used RV, Then sorted business and personal... Camped in State or County park northeast of San Diego in 2014.
Cat, we all have those unsightly areas that get a little out of hand from time to time. Glad you addressed it and made functional once again. 😀

Hi Catherine, Anza Borrego reminds of the 70's. We would drive from La Mesa to Ocotillo Wells then up Cougar Canyon to pick Peyote buttons. Those Santa Ana winds have been blowing all the way up here in the NorCal Sierras for the last three days, no rain, and around 70+ degrees. Happy trails to you, until we meet again. 🌹

Good morning Catherine. To help with the limited storage in my Lance camper I added a section of composite closet organizer shelf to the overhead kids bunk, located above the dinette.
I used one 4' section and two wall brackets. It doubled the amount of usable storage and helped with orgainization. You would probably need some help installing it, because it can be a bit awkward, but it is not difficult, and only requires a drill and a screwdriver.
I use double tension rods for my upper camper cabinets. Has helped 100%. Looks like you lock the cabinets on the outside but this prevents stuff falling on you when opening the doors.
Beautiful sunset and sunrise thanks for showing your cabinets makes me need to add more cabinets in my rebuild of my 66 Ford special slide in camper God bless be safe
