Lived in San Diego while in Jr. College and loved Anza Borrego State Park. Another great state park is down the road, in Arizona along the Colorado River, near Yuma - Picacho State Recreation Area. Only drawback might be the 20 mile simi-graded gravel road to get out there - you might have to fix up your cabinets again after driving it!
i use a small strip of Velcro on the bottom too keep my bins from sliding around . Also on small plant or decor items. You can learn a lot from the sail boat people when it comes to tying stuff down.. Duct tape...velcro...epoxy.. always good to have. 3M products are good.
We lived on a boat for 7 years, so i can relate to how quickly cupboards and spaces can get out of control. Kudos for tackling this...and publically too!
@@jackbyrd381 In my younger days, I used to dream about living on a sailboat off the coast of California, back then Argosy magazine had written several articles about sailing, makemaking me wish I could live the lifestyle. I never did.
I had a 60ft houseboat that was about a year old it looked like a floating mobile home with vinyl siding, a wrap around porch and a 30ft sun deck on the roof in the 90's in the Honey island swamp outside of New Orleans. I sure wish I still had it.
I used to drive truck down to Ocotillo Wells near where you are. The blooming cacti were phenomenal and the sunrises were amazing. Perfect pancakes by the way Catherine :)
They give new meaning to WIND in Anza Borrego! Have been fortunate enough to have spent two weeks there in the winter the past two years. I love it. My favorite thing to do is hike south on the PCT over at Scissors Crossing. Last year we were there in March and I got to see lots of through hikers heading north. Best little hippie town of Borrego Springs. I’m jealous! Thanks for this one.
Thank you dear for taking me along on your journey to a desert I’ve never visited. As a hobby photographer I recently looked at a $1000 Sony video Camera I think might be pretty neat. Good job! Truth be told.... EVERYBODY has that one place that's just a mess! That's a good idea on getting a spice rack of some sort. Free up a little more space!!!! Take care Kat!
catherine you have shared some amazing places that many of us cannot get to i thank you and please keep sharing love from the UK hey we still have no snow but a lot of wind god bless you
Catherine. I noticed in your videos that your camper is always moving around when the wind is blowing. Especially, in today's video. Anyhow, If you put your Jack's down on your camper and slightly put pressure on them it will stabilize your camper dramatically. Great for windy days or just walking around in your camper. Hope this helps.
I find it helpful to hold light weight items on the back-side of the doors. Such as rolls of saran wrap, aluminum foil , wax paper , freezer bags . It frees up space for the most used items that can be stored lower.
I've been sleeping in my car for a while and felt bad for a while. Now I'm having fun with it. Cooking 🍳. At my local park is fun .every thing u say and do makes me smile thank you for your videos. Cowboy john norco California horse Town USA 🇺🇸

I can relate! I heard noises in my camper as I took a corner. When I pulled over and saw what happened- yet again- it was my native animal totum statue; A piece I adored and one that reminded me of wisdom. The legs and antlers of one- and parts of the other totum animals, just broken. Oh SO sad. I finally gave up and tossed it because I had no more wisdom than a fruit fly. But now, as I look back it's wisdom born of pain. ❤

I think almost everyone has these areas where we shove things until we have no choice but to deal with it. Quite a beautiful spot you're in there as well, seems very peaceful. Be safe!
I actually cringed then laughed out loud when you opened that cupboard. I'm obsessed with organizing. My pantry at home looks like a supermarket aisle, same with my refrigerator. My wife thinks I'm crazy. It's nice to see you back in my backyard. I live in So Cal (all my life) and Anza Borrego, Coachella Valley, and Joshua Tree are my winter desert playground. Messy cabinets are hardly embarrassing. I have a few myself. And don't even look at my art/work table. yikes! But you have inspired me to clean my own mess on this sunday morning. Thanks for sharing.
My RV has plenty of space, but I have to avoid overloading. Exceeding the weight limit is easy to do and wears out tires, among other issues. Last year, I moved a lot of stuff out of the RV and into my garage at home, much of it put into a larger RV when my wife was alive (pre-2013) and kept despite the fact I never/rarely used it. Now I need to face the challenge of simply disposing of most of it, hard to do since my garage has no weight limit.😁

Looks much better - I agree putting the spices on the counter somehow is good idea, maybe somehow attach a container to a kitchen wall. You always find the best spots to park..
I screwed two eyelets into the wall and stretched a 12" bungee between them. They secure my spices on my counter beautifully, allowing me to have various-shapes and number of spice containers.
Oh My! You bring a good morning smile and laughter along with beauty but, you also made me remember my own cupboard mess that I need to tackle. Good RV motivational. Thanks Catherine
Oh yay! You’re normal!!😁 I’m still trying to live organized in my RV Camper after two years! Thanks for your honesty and sharing with us! You did a wonderful job! Blessings to you!!

Gee don't even worry about that !!!! Since Debra passed away I have just tossed everything into my food cabinets and was just thinking this morning about doing the same thing. Another great video and have a beautiful time with your family.
I've been wondering about your set-up vs all the Van Life videos and have reached the conclusion that your's is probably cheaper to find right now, and the 4wd really helps with your style of boondocking. Thanks for allowing us to tag along.
Hi, and thanks for your cool videos. Truck camping is the way to go! I love my Northstar. Here's a tip, I found these neat spice bottle holders that stick on the inside of my cabinet doors, they simply stick on, are inexpensive and free up valuable space.Found them on Amazon. Nice uncluttering video. Your kitchen project came out good. Nice place to camp wind or not. And thanks for your Jimmie Hendrix rendition, Mary lol. God Bless. From Fasteddie, here in Quartzite.
Well done Kat on your cupboard tidy up. Better then being injured by flying produce and cans. No need to be embarrassed, when you have limited space to store items that's what generally happens. Safe journeys

Thank you 🙏
Okay, now I’m ready to start my Sunday and another week after my weekly ritual of watching your videos. 😇 Thank you again for taking us on your adventures!
Gee don't even worry about that !!!! Since Debra passed away I have just tossed everything into my food cabinets and was just thinking this morning about doing the same thing. Had a heck of a time finding stuff to put in my stir fry last night. Gave me a clue what I needed to do. Also I didn't want to start wearing steel toed boots around the house just to cook LOL.
So soothing and tranquil! If for no other reason, I love your videos for that!
Hi Catherine😊😊😊, is that campsite near Interstate 8? I'm so happy that you were able re do the cabinet space. Dinner looked really good too. Have a great day, Catherine👍👍👍.
Yes, it is. About 15 miles off of I8. Thank you!
