Let’s not forget the fact that Alastor literally dropped his “formalities” after Vox got in his face through the television screens. This tells me that there is a limit
So this has actually been confirmed but alastor never frowns or stops smiling because always smiling gives off the intimidation effect and frowning shows weakness.
He is also the character that never swears. Everyone else swears like sailors. Even Charlie swears. Alastor doesn't. He doesn't need the words to intimidate anyone. He smiles, you're never fully dressed without one, and speaks very well. And that is freaking terrifying. His whole morality seems defined by how he feels about a person in the moment. He sees someone and they strike him positively so he waves or tosses a coin. And will absolutely destroy anyone that comes after that person. He is a fascinating character.
@@mycroft16 It's the only time he's seen swearing (that I know of) and he grumbles it so it's hard to read and barely there but he grumble/curses all the way to the meat shop. He hates Vox 😂🖐
Alastor doesn’t mind tormenting those who can fend for themselves or who think they have some sort of power, but he doesn’t seem to enjoy bullying the weak and defenseless like the sheep demon
Didn't that sheep demon look like one of the fallen cherubs from the recent helluva boss episode? Possible indication to their final fates as well as timing of when, at least the present events of Helluva Boss, are in relation to hazbin hotel?
This makes the most sense, honestly. The weak minded pick on those physically weaker, while the truly strong people put the cowardly bullies in their places. Alastor is very much the chaotic neutral character and simply adheres to only his own rules.
There is a chance that Allister is actually an anti hero. He was a serial killer but only killed other bad people. Course murder is murder and if he used it as an excuse to eat them because they "wont be missed" it doesn't change his character much but it could explain why he harms some and not others. If you're minding your own business he most likely won't chase you down and try to hurt you.
Well, if you listen to what he said he watched several innocent people being killed and there are easter eggs about that he also used vodoo for killing. I don't think he's a good guy or in-between, he just doesn't like rape or disrespecting ladies as long they aren't disrespecting him.
I noticed Alastor saved the lamb demon from the butcher but also didn’t bother to comfort her afterwards I think that also shows some level of his morality
Lol really? I dont think he did it with the intention of saving someone but moreso to get a larger prey. People like that usually dont care about saving cause theyre not heros in the first place. I dont think he did it out of good intentions or morals. The butcher just so happened to be someone he can kick off his high horse for the fun of it in the room at the time.
@@taetm8868 Alastor explicitly says that he doesn’t appreciate harming those of “fairer” means. This could imply that he simply tends to not mess with women, but I think it’s all weaker (and outwardly nice and polite) people. Alastor seems to give back whatever energy he receives tenfold. Very Lector-esque.
It seems less that he was saving the lamb demon then it was him killing the butcher demon. I think he killed the butcher for his own reasons and not to save someone. I’m sure that if the butcher was abusing the lamb for some other reason, he wouldn’t have cared.
@@laraschroeder5195 he just says that thing about the fairer sex or something along those lines that’s why I think it bothered him that the butcher was going for easy prey
You missed a massive part of the song. When she thinks of him she says "your money and power". I don't think she lost him. I think she's trying to get away from him.
On the flip side I sort of got the feeling that she has already gotten away from him\was able to break up with him and has to deal with the temptation of going back to him for his power or at least misses it sometimes
My initial impression was that she was the one who might have been dumped by him. I don't know something about her tone and lines like "So come if you're feeling brave and fancy yourself a mate" and "We could have it all by the end of the night" makes it feel like she's the one trying to reconnect with and/or impress this person.
@@ap7635 I noticed he was watching drug commercials when he started talking about him, so I thought he might be a major drug dealer and they "lost" each others because he became power-drunk; and now she is trying to destroy his empire to make him come back to his senses
I think when it comes to Alastor, although he always keeps a smile on his face, I think that his emotions are shown by his eyes. As an example, when Vox was basically mocking Alastor in the comic, although Alastor was still smiling, his eyes showed that he was irritated and he started cursing shorty thereafter.
When Cherri and Angel are walking out of the bombed place, if you pause at the right time, you can see that there’s a neon sign saying, “It was all a dream” most likely symbolizing Angel’s desire to be freed from Val’s grasp. I don’t know if someone else already commented this, but I thought it was kind of interesting.
On the subject of Alastor in the park. You have to imagine it is slightly difficult having everyone run from him, especially considering where he comes from. From what we know of his life he was a radio host therefore meaning he liked to make conversation and was likely a very social person. Now he is in a position where he has all the power he could ever want but not the social interactions he used to enjoy. It is a trade that he made that he might possibly grow to regret later on in the show.
@@mentalmisstep5040 it’s more of a relationship where they seen no need to harm each other and (as you said) have respect for each other. Although they could get closer and become friends via Charlie
The way I see it Alistair is the "romantic evil" type. In the sense that he clearly takes sadistic pleasure in his cruel deeds do satiate his boredom but he never does things without a good reason, personal or otherwise, and he does so with class and elegance. Very similar to lets say a character like Hannibal Lecter. Take the butcher for example. He killed him just as he was about to murder a customer. Its possible that Alistair saw this as a heineous act worth punishing not just because the customer did nothing wrong and was a woman, but also because killing your own customer base is just an awful way to run a business. As for the rose, its possible that at one point he did "love" someone , but that particular bridge might have burned when his true nature was revealed and might have even lead to his death. This would explain why he goes through such effort to hide his true form and feelings. As to why he hates Vox (Tv demon) is because he could represent everything Alistair stands against. A chaptic evil entity who jumps from moment to moment doing whatever he wants with no regard for any kind of reasoning other than boredom
Nah, Vox and Alastor hate each other because Alastor hates anything invented or made after his death. Also, I'm pretty sure Alastor died because he was mistaken as a deer while hiding a body of his :p
@@colorbar.s That doesn't mean he always was though. People can change sexuality through the course of their life and/or realize what they're more after. It's usually not that black & white 😅
Rick & Morty Joseph & Caesar Steve & Alex Cole & cake Mario & Luigi Angel & Cherry are literally demons. They’re only friends because they’re terrible people who ended up in hell You after reading this: Detroit: Become Triggered
An interesting note about demonology is that Alastor is the name of Hell's Executioner, who's seen as an avenging demon of sorts. I like to think the scene at the butcher is a bit of this shining through, that Alastor might be cruel only to those who have done harm to others. Given they're all in hell, it's probably not hard to find that kind of person.
I personally think Alastor is just, "Not good, not bad, just up for a fun time- Wait why are you running?" type personality. Just that one friend you have that is highly disturbing and moderately intimidating that will laugh at a shock gore video but absolutely pummel someone who messes with their group, whether they like you or not, its just a reason.
Alastor is an aesthete, an aristocrat, and a chauvinist. Nothing in his comic is particularly hard to explain; he appreciates beauty and art for their own sakes, and despises the waste of either. But he sees "the help" as disposable. Being any kind of a merchant -- even (maybe especially) someone who sells specifically to him -- is a very risky place to be. On the other hand being talented, or beautiful, or female will help... until he gets bored.
I believe that the only true ways to die in hell are either by the angel's weapons or by Lucifer or Lilith killing the sinner/demon in question. If you are "killed" by another sinner/demon then the sinner/demon who was "killed" spends a few days regenerating from the injury until they are fully healed but while they are regenerating the process is slow and painful as a reminder to the sinner/demon that hell is supposed to be an eternal punishment for their sins in life. Hellborne demons on the other hand seem to die for good if killed by things other than angel weapons because Blitzo and the crew of the IMP were scared to be shot at fatally. Unless that's something only Imps fear while in the living world since they aren't in hell to regenerate.
As far as I've heard, sinners and demons when killed without the use of an Exterminator weapon just "respawn" somewhere else in Hell. When killed with an Exterminator weapon, however, their soul is purged from existence, resulting in a true death.
Apparently viv said when a demons physical body is destroyed they become a part of hell, the eyes that we see all over buildings and such, unless theyre killed with an angels weapon
I might be out of left field with this one- but I wonder if it is tied to this world's life cycle...If there is a rebirth element and the population of earth is increasing, perhaps its a last ditch attempt to gather more souls to be born. After all angels don't want to single out those in heaven! They 'won' after all, so perhaps they frame it in their mind as giving the sinners a second chance.
I like seeing how polite Alastor is with (almost) everyone in the comic, especially the sheep demoness. He greets her as she enters and even seems to have held the door open for her, what a gentleman... I know chivalry in particular isn't all it was cracked up to be, but the simple consideration Alastor shows to others both in the comic and in the pilot is very refreshing when compared to the rest of Hell. Actually, that's probably part of why he does it come to think of it, as well as probably just being how he is, whether by personal nature or nurtured experience as a radio entertainer.
“Raising Cain at every highway in Hell” I wouldn’t be surprised if Angel actually did blow his club up it was just after he took the initial offer from Charlie. The hotel and its guess are under Charlie’s, Lucifer’s (at least the building it self) and now Alastair’s protection and the spear Vaggie wields is an angelic weapon capable of erasing demons and sinners alike. Valentino might not have a choice but to take Angel’s bombing of his club. So it would be Angel working at the club not directly under Val yet, Val recruiting in abuse him, the drug deal, him meeting Charlie, bombing the club, staying at the hotel.
Cool idea, but I don't think Vaggie's weapon is neccesarily an Angel weapon. I mean, it could be? I guess? But there's no way to comfirm that unless Viv said so
Cool idea but he touches charlie on several occasions (see the clip at 8:00 for example, plenty of contact for dancing and even skin-to-skin contact with the nose touch) and she's fine. Though I wouldn't doubt his powers would allow that if he so wanted, at least with common demons
@@peeblekitty5780 lol she's more powerful. She's literally born in hell that means she's reached a level of owning GREATER power especially she's the daughter of two fallen angels, Lucifer and Lilith. And plus, Alastor and the rose thing I think indicates the fact that Alastor is indeed death. He murdered people and is cannibal like his girl (not the relationship label I meant gender) friend, Rosie, yet a little romantically attracted to each other and Alastor is asexual and so is Rosie to Alastor. And plus if Alastor tries hurting Charlie he'll be fucked up by Lucifer.

Even though this has already been commented many times, I'll also mention it. It's so strange really, seeing Alastor swear, then again this is directed towards Vox, who's a literal embodiment of what killed the technology Alastor has come to know and love within his past life, being a radio broadcaster. The comic over all adds quite a bit to Alastor's personality as well as his morals, which helped me understand this character more, which I'm most thankful for. The comic also really showed the diversity of hell itself, it isn't just a red wasteland of cities, there are other areas to explore (such as that pathway surrounded by trees). Overall, I loved this prequel comic and I'm so excited to see more of Alastor as a character (and now I'm realizing as I'm typing this I said things that were already mentioned in the video, lmao).
Yeah that... That's definitely what was happening, I'm honestly not sure how anyone could get any other impression. Also by "fairer means" He definitely meant women, or at least people who outwardly present femininely (I kind of think this would include Angel in Al's mind but that may be just my wishful thinking), that's just what that phrasing means, it's not incredibly ambiguous XD (Alastor says respect women!)
Yeah, it was VERY heavily implied that she was going to be sexually assaulted. I think they just wanted to make their vid more PG so that they could get more revenue. He also said Angel was working as an "Escort" which is not a word i've ever heard used instead of prostitute
@@thegreatbroohighny9766 actually it was pretty fucking obvious that he wanted to kill her and use her as meat,i mean, they literaly showed that demon trying to get his knife and cut up alastor until he intimidated him,he was probably going to assault her and kill her for meat
Alastor is a performer so it’s no wonder he loves and respects performers! That’s why he’s involved with hazbin hotel 👻 “what a performance!-“ As for the cannibalism, I’m sure he took comfort in finding other cannibals in hell. As I’m sure he didn’t find any in his human life. AND along with other serial killers. Some don’t have a “type” like going after women or children or blonde hair. He seems to have an ego along with his performance nature. So maybe going after smaller weaker prey could be seen as an insult to the craft for him. That’s why he doesn’t like the butchers actions. Not only that he has nifty, which I’m sure they met in hell. So going after her would be easier. But instead he adopted her lol
@@catherinesheffield8093 could be! He deff seems to take pleasure in punishing people. He seems to be the type where he’s the pessimist to Charlie’s optimist!
7:11 - Something in my mind kinda clicked: humans can take up a demonic form of their choice. Deers and lambs are both common prey animals associated to a sheepish (no pun intended) and passive nature. Alastor chose to take the antlers of a deer, their only means of self-defense against predators. Makes me wonder if Alastor's motivations have something to do with the whole "hunted becomes the hunter" principle. I'm going out on a limb here, but this part of the comic in particular might imply his cannibalism is how he gets back at the scum of the world who preys upon others (the "bad meat"), specifically vulnerable targets, over something really fucked up that happened to him (perhaps also involving cannibalism) at a very young age, which ultimately made him snap for good or kickstarted a pre-existing but dormant psychosis.
Deer's are also symbol for the occult and serial killers in general. Many rituals include the horns of deers or attaching them to dolls and carcasses. Not only that but people don't choose their form as a demon. I don't really know where you got that idea from tbh
You can't choose what you look like in the afterlife. It solely represents what you've done in your life while alive. Alastor is a deer becaue he had been mistaken as one while hiding a body and for that he was shot. Well, I'm pretty sure at least
You got addict fully wrong. In Angel's Instagram he is shown wearing several costumes for clubs or shows. In Husker's Instagram Angel invites him to his show, with ticket and everything. And yes, they did blow the night club up. Remember the car scene in the pilot? Angel says " I owned my girl body a solid! " after Vaggie confronted him about the turf war. Of course, that's what he owed her. Edot: Adding to what I said, on his Instagram, in the very costume he wore in Addict, he put "bouta hit the stage soon". And in a other post, in a costume that to me resembled a fully blue peacock, he put "at the blue hive club".
It seems to me that Alister is not against immoral acts (obviosly) but against the ways some carry out those immoral acts. He topples overlords, those of equalish power to him, but when he sees the sheep being taken advantage of he sees that as wrong. A "Pick on somebody your own size" mentality that I can respect.
I get the Alastor one, i always thought it was because he was talking about the weaker and/or kinder demons. Alastor isn't exactly mean in the comic or the show. He just holds grudges and will ill talk/kill someone to get ahead of them. As in Overlords and people who could score higher on the power scale. This includes the cannibal meat shop. The goat lady is smaller and seems to be weaker than the shop owner. As in the the lines of calling her fair, it could be because he doesn't see her as a threat to his power in the slightest, but, just as anyone who was/is human, he has some good in him deep down. That's why he went back in and stood up for her, even though it meant scaring her and killing eating a demon that he says "isn't as good as venison, but it will do". He wasn't eating because he was hungry or for power, he was doing the right thing by getting rid of a problem or getting rid of "bad meat". The lady was scared, but she was safe. That's all he came back for, to keep a weaker demon safer in hell. Why would he do that? Because even if he is a powerful "heartless" demon, everyone has a chance at redemption! Thank you for coming to my ted talk!
Allister's design might also be inspired from the Wendigo, a creature resembling a humanoid deer usually associated with cannibalism. That might mean that when Allister was alive after he killed his victims he ate them, thus becoming in the afterlife the demon cannibal Wendigo.
Glad I watched this because I honestly didn't know about the Alastor comic until I first saw this. Also I mainly just want a comic that focuses solely on Vaggy, she seems interesting in a way that makes me want to know much more about her. Ones on Husker and Nifty would also be appropriated especially since Alastor's backstory had the two by his side, meaning he's known them for quite some time and they possibly have some strong powers of their own.
I feel like Alister (even though being a demon for a long time) reverts to some of his 1920s-1930s mannerisms. That why he somewhat contradicts himself in situations like in the comic.
Four of Hell’s overlords are designed to represent four types of media: Alastor; radio (obviously), coming from the 1930’s as evidenced by his Transatlantic accent which was commonly used by radio hosts during that time, Vox; television, probably from the 50’s, Valentino; adult cinema, likely died during the 80’s of an STD, and Velvet; social media, shown in her excessive makeup, and she’s probably from more recently, like Vaggie
Cherri's flashback man is wearing a stereotyped crocodile tooth akubra hat which to me places him as an old aquaintance or family of Cherri Bomb. Cherri is an australian that died in the 80s, so him having some 'aussie' flare puts him in her geographical location.
For Cherry Bomb, I got the impression that the music video Addict was an illustration about toxic relationships and how the relationships themselves can be an addiction in their own way. The character that was a "person of interest" for Cherry didn't come across to me as a loved one or someone she's lovingly longing for. To generally refer to that character I'll call them he/him/they/them. Based on the "positive" main character's designs, he doesn't seem drawn the same clean way. I would infer by the character design that he is or wasn't a positive character. My inference is that Cherry Bomb did make a break in one way or another from him, either by his death or simply breaking away. That would lend a greater since of friendship with Angel since in the scenes flashing where Angel and Cherry are alone and Angel having emotional breakdowns/withdrawals. It feels like Cherry has been there and that makes me think that the mysterious interest for her is just another toxic relationship, courtesy of Hell à la carte.
Did it actually say that butcher shop was cannibalistic? I was under the impression that it was supposed to be the meat of the wild animals that live in the world, but he also secretly killed and sold the meat of animal based characters (ex: the lamb girl) it would also explain why she went in there in the first place. If it was a cannibalistic shop I think she would’ve known she was an easy target and wouldn’t have even gone in.
He made one bird eat the other, a lead in to him going to cannibal colony. That's why the birds face is covered in gore when it attacks the waiter. It largely appears that he only ordered the eggs to get that effect, since his interest is in meat and we don't see him eat any of the eggs. Even getting a bird to eat an egg is cannibalistic. He also gives a coin to the musician because it's music and as the radio demon he appreciates music heavily, unlike visual entertainment such as, you guessed it, TV.
Alister looks to me like someone with enormous power who has some kind of moral compass by which he doesn't hurt or even protects weak unless their suffering will amuse him. Just like he says in the pilot episode everything he does is out of sheer boredom. It is like when you play open world game, you have ultimate power and you do anything that most amuses you all makes you feel the best.
A lot of people keep thinking Izzi (the one eyed demon guy in Addict) is related to Angel but he's a scrapped Zoophobia character. Viv even drew him in a villains lineup speed draw: th-cam.com/video/_RrstzsVwAk/w-d-xo.html It seems likely she's repurposing him as an abusive lover or relative. She might've kept the one eye because it's common to give related characters the same features even if they're not actually blood related.
i think the part about Alastor giving the busking saxophonist might be part 1920's musical choice and we have to remember that he lived through the Great Depression so he probably hates to see anyone in a similar situation that he might have seen. His past as a radio host also is probably why he always wants to talk to people, be friendly, and remember just because he's smiling doesn't mean he enjoys it.
Adict isn't actualy a prequel. On Angels instagram we could see him talking about going on stage for the show so it's happening after the pilot. He's still working for Val
I like the certain depth these characters have been written along, unlike most shows we get most of their life or story told within the first encounter, Hazbin Varys information and only gives us the “important” information to keep us occupied and thinking, and all these is having us just think and think about how each character have a certain role and under what category they fall For, for either character position or psychological maybe even both
Can we appreciate that The radio demon hates the TV demon Also turns out Alastor does have morals well one at least Unlike our favorite top hat deal making dorito from the part of oregon where gravity falls
“Stories are a lot like jokes, because the execution of each is very important to the quality of each one. A bad story told Well is infinitely more interesting than a great story told poorly.” -Shammy
I have a feeling that Alastor was a Serial Killer cannibal for OTHER serial killers. As in he expressedly did worse things to killers that objectively made him a bigger monster than them. Like eating them
I know this is probably irrelevant, but the lamb person Alistor (or however you spell it) saves in his prequel comic I find interesting. If you notice how they interact with him for their brief encounter they don’t seem to be afraid of Alistor. They pass him with a shy smile and that’s all. This might indicate they might be a newcomer to the underworld. Another thing about this side character is the way they react to Alistor’s cannibalism is interesting. I would assume most demons would be like “holy shite stay away from that guy”, but they were crying (which the only other character we’ve seen cry is Charlie). I know this is a side character who probably has no importance to the story, but I’m already loving this lamb person and trying to figure out who they are. The way they behave isn’t like a typical demon and I just find that so interesting.
I think the singing is more of a representation of his thoughts during his performances and life and most of the events did happen but not to the extent that’s shown and that because it takes place in hell any disguise no matter how minimal would give angel and cherry some deniability, and because it’s from their perspective they aren’t shown in their disguises but rather how they’d rather be dressed or what outfit makes them feel awesome
the first time I read Alastor’s comic that last scene made me think his reaction was somewhat related to his mother, perhaps she was mistreated by others and he despises those that treat females the same way his mother was treated?
The way I saw the Addict video is that Cherri had been there through Angel's shittiest moment (the flashes of shots of him crying in his bed with Cherri there, I assumed after a SA incident as per the disclaimer at the beginning of the video.) It gave some insight into how close the two truly are, but also made me think it was meant to somewhat explain what happened with Angel. Maybe hypersexualizing himself became a trauma response, and now he's trying to get out of that loop, along with the cycle of addiction.
Ok i might be misremembering but when the gray guy showed up in addict wasnt that as the line "you may be in power" played? I always thought cherrybomb was in a similar situation to angeldust and that gray guy was the val stand in also considering she doesnt look even slightly happy when she thinks of him makes me think that there is some dislike towards him but i might be wrong
Another bit of Alastor's story was in a short comic I read where he protected a woman being attacked. He showed zero remorse in killing several men even when human, as well as his odd version of chivalry.
I think Addict is not technically a prequel but takes place side by side with the pilot and the first half of it is real while Angel and Cherry blowing the place up is all in his head. The characters (Angel, Husk, and Niffty) instagrams show angel asking them to go to his nightclub show and even scenes of the music video from different angles.
I agree: the idea that Alastor is both a misogynistic creep who tells Vaggie to smile and spanks her in the musical number, but also defends a lamb being assaulted is really weird.... not sure how to parse that together.
I believe it comes down to how they display themselves. Vaggie made it clear right from their first encounter that she's able to defend herself and that she opposes Alastor with a passion. That look he gave her when she pointed her spear at him said it all: she put herself in the target line, now he's going to annoy the hell out of her. Because this - so I believe - is one of the things that keeps him going. Playing with people. Those, who are weak, may get help or be ignored, but those who take on him will either be seen as enemies (Vox) or toys (Vaggie). As she's no real threat to him, she mostly triggers his prankster instinct, not so much the killer one. Apart from him possibly having an agenda with the Magne family as well (we don't know that yet, we just know how he greedily looked at the family portrait).
For the music video Addict i think it refers to the relationship between angel and val, how val provides the addiction and i think the proof is in the end when angel is in his room and throws the cigarette it is in the shape of a heart with red smoke coming out of it also when he is dancing val’s red smoke creates a chocker and handcuffs on angel
I can read music rn on page 2 assuming it’s in treble clef the notes are g f d d e f f d If it’s in bass clef the notes would be b a f f g a a f Some notes are a little blurry but that’s what I found it doesn’t look like a spelled out word message but could be a song or code this is specifically for the notes Alstor hums not the saxophone playing demon
I think the point of the Alastair comic is to show that while he is unpredictable and sadistic he ultimately does not target the weak. While everyone seems to be weaker than him he only seems to target those who can target others. Edit- this is just my spur of the moment opinion plz don’t roast me
Which is your favorite comic so far? Mine is the one about Alastor, very creepy.

Abusive relationship?, Hazbin so far has seem that it will revolve around relationships heavily.

I think when it comes to Alastor, although he always keeps a smile on his face, I think that his emotions are shown by his eyes. As an example, when Vox was basically mocking Alastor in the comic, although Alastor was still smiling, his eyes showed that he was irritated and he started cursing shorty thereafter.
can we also talk about how bizzare it was to see Al canonically curse under his breath? It felt so odd having him use actual vulgarities

The whole vox and Alastor thing reminds me of the song “video killed the radio star” and it fits with that line there!
What I hope see in the future is how powerful Alastor is compared to the likes of the TV Demon and Valentino, Lords of Hell.

Also, I'm pretty sure Alastor died because he was mistaken as a deer while hiding a body of his :p

i think when he called her fair he meant actually nice because everyone except her was nice to him out of fear or ran away from him in fear
I hope they get into what happens if someone dies, or gets “exterminated” in hell. It’s not like you’re going to super hell.
I wonder if it’s like what happens in coco where you fade into nothingness
Alastor reminds me of a made up DND alignment I once read about. Chaotic Lawful. They have a strict moral code but no one knows what the hell it is.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Angel actually did blow his club up it was just after he took the initial offer from Charlie.
I guess? But there's no way to comfirm that unless Viv said so
Back to Angel's case, I just got an addiction ad while watching this. Just call that number, Angie! :3
i think whats actually going on with the whole rose and alastor thing, is that hes kinda like death where if he touches something living it will die
Cool idea but he touches charlie on several occasions (see the clip at 8:00 for example, plenty of contact for dancing and even skin-to-skin contact with the nose touch) and she's fine. Though I wouldn't doubt his powers would allow that if he so wanted, at least with common demons
@@peeblekitty5780 yeah but still i think it would be a cool idea to add on too
@@peeblekitty5780 lol she's more powerful. She's literally born in hell that means she's reached a level of owning GREATER power especially she's the daughter of two fallen angels, Lucifer and Lilith. He murdered people and is cannibal like his girl (not the relationship label I meant gender) friend, Rosie, yet a little romantically attracted to each other and Alastor is asexual and so is Rosie to Alastor.
I thought the butcher was trying to... forcefully sleep with the lamb demon
I believe he was going to kill her then turn her into meat for his shop.
@@theshade6176 yea, trying to rape someone while still working is pretty terrible business running

That’s why he’s involved with hazbin hotel 👻 “what a performance!-“
As for the cannibalism, I’m sure he took comfort in finding other cannibals in hell.
I think Alastor’s “type” are the scumbags and criminals.
@@catherinesheffield8093 could be! He deff seems to take pleasure in punishing people. He seems to be the type where he’s the pessimist to Charlie’s optimist!

@Amoe Moth cool didn’t know her being in her thirties make her immune to being killed my alastor. Good to know
7:11 - Something in my mind kinda clicked: humans can take up a demonic form of their choice.

Great video! Keep it up!
Glad I watched this because I honestly didn't know about the Alastor comic until I first saw this. Also I mainly just want a comic that focuses solely on Vaggy, she seems interesting in a way that makes me want to know much more about her. About cherri's love interest, that character that was suposed to be a villain on the series appearing in a "villain" speedpaint in 2016 aproximately
I feel like Alister (even though being a demon for a long time) reverts to some of his 1920s-1930s mannerisms. That why he somewhat contradicts himself in situations like in the comic.
Four of Hell’s overlords are designed to represent four types of media:
Alastor; radio (obviously), coming from the 1930’s as evidenced by his Transatlantic accent which was commonly used by radio hosts during that time,
Vox; television, probably from the 50’s,
Valentino; adult cinema, likely died during the 80’s of an STD,
and Velvet; social media, shown in her excessive makeup, and she’s probably from more recently, like Vaggie
Who else came from episode 2 of hella of a boss
Cherri's flashback man is wearing a stereotyped crocodile tooth akubra hat which to me places him as an old aquaintance or family of Cherri Bomb.
Cherri is an australian that died in the 80s, so him having some 'aussie' flare puts him in her geographical location.
I hope Cherry is more featured in the series because I love when her and Angel do fun things together
I like this background. It is aesthetically pleasing and makes me smile.
I honestly the comic of Alastor Walking through town was a fan comic. Thanks for info that it’s canon.
It’s fucking hilarious to me that Alastor will murder anybody in a room but if there’s a lady, she’ll be fine. Hell just leave her there.
A Valentino ad just came up...
Is this just a coincidence...?
I THINK NOT
Did it actually say that butcher shop was cannibalistic? I was under the impression that it was supposed to be the meat of the wild animals that live in the world, but he also secretly killed and sold the meat of animal based characters (ex: the lamb girl) it would also explain why she went in there in the first place. If it was a cannibalistic shop I think she would’ve known she was an easy target and wouldn’t have even gone in.
A perfect friendship looks like alastor and vaggie. The tall sadistic happy one and the short angry gremlin
Oh hi I was watching your videos just now
He made one bird eat the other, a lead in to him going to cannibal colony.
Plot twist: The 1st episode of Hazbin Hotel will release on New Year's Eve or on 24th December
I think a release date will be released by the end of helluva boss.
Remember that alastor and valentino are one of the most feared demons in hell
Alastor feeding the birds DEVILed eggs was gold
A lot of people keep thinking Izzi (the one eyed demon guy in Addict) is related to Angel but he's a scrapped Zoophobia character. Viv even drew him in a villains lineup speed draw: th-cam.com/video/_RrstzsVwAk/w-d-xo.html
It seems likely she's repurposing him as an abusive lover or relative. She might've kept the one eye because it's common to give related characters the same features even if they're not actually blood related.
Lol i accidentally made a similar comment to you
i think the part about Alastor giving the busking saxophonist might be part 1920's musical choice and we have to remember that he lived through the Great Depression so he probably hates to see anyone in a similar situation that he might have seen.
His past as a radio host also is probably why he always wants to talk to people, be friendly, and remember just because he's smiling doesn't mean he enjoys it.
I think he took a little pleasure in the great depression since he said "So many orphans" while giggling idk

So Angel has bioluminescent areas on his body, who woulda thunk it.
For Alastor's motives, what about studying The Psychopaths Morals.
I have a feeling that Alastor was a Serial Killer cannibal for OTHER serial killers.
As in he expressedly did worse things to killers that objectively made him a bigger monster than them. Like eating them
he doesn't frown because it shows dominance
I swear this show will release anything BUT a new episode....

0:45 let's not forget the now gone instagram photos of Angel dancing abd singing with the others at the hotel
Alastor sort of reminds me of Hannibal Lecter
His charming in a way
I think the singing is more of a representation of his thoughts during his performances and life and most of the events did happen but not to the extent that’s shown and that because it takes place in hell any disguise no matter how minimal would give angel and cherry some deniability, and because it’s from their perspective they aren’t shown in their disguises but rather how they’d rather be dressed or what outfit makes them feel awesome
the first time I read Alastor’s comic that last scene made me think his reaction was somewhat related to his mother, perhaps she was mistreated by others and he despises those that treat females the same way his mother was treated?

Does anyone know when the next helluva boss episode will drop and what time? Please I wanna know!
Supposedly it will drop somewhere later today, as announced on twitter.
Tomorrow (10th of December)
@@sapphirelight3586 No, I think it is dropping today. Vivzies time is California so when she posted that thing on instagram it was for late today
@@sapphirelight3586 it today, since their tweet was posted 19 hours ago, meaning their "tomorrow" is in a few hours.
Oh! Well... THATS WAY BETTER now I’m even more exited. The episode looks interesting
I KNEW IT THE DEAMON FORM IS A WENDIGO-ESC BEING
Yessssssss Do more pls
I think Addict is not technically a prequel but takes place side by side with the pilot and the first half of it is real while Angel and Cherry blowing the place up is all in his head. The characters (Angel, Husk, and Niffty) instagrams show angel asking them to go to his nightclub show and even scenes of the music video from different angles.
2:45. Bruh he litterly looks like Angel dust brother from the short daddy issues
I agree: the idea that Alastor is both a misogynistic creep who tells Vaggie to smile and spanks her in the musical number, but also defends a lamb being assaulted is really weird.... not sure how to parse that together.
Well I think he’s still a mysoginist, but as for the lamb I think it’s becuase he has a wierd ideology of who should and shouldn’t be eaten
Apart from him possibly having an agenda with the Magne family as well (we don't know that yet, we just know how he greedily looked at the family portrait).
yeah can tell that Vaggie looks like someone in modern times like today (2010's)
Two thoughts: do the musical notes spell out anything or make an actual song? Did Franklyn get exterminated, or was he killed and eaten?
I can read music rn on page 2 assuming it’s in treble clef the notes are g f d d e f f d
If it’s in bass clef the notes would be b a f f g a a f
Some notes are a little blurry but that’s what I found it doesn’t look like a spelled out word message but could be a song or code this is specifically for the notes Alstor hums not the saxophone playing demon
I think the point of the Alastair comic is to show that while he is unpredictable and sadistic he ultimately does not target the weak. While everyone seems to be weaker than him he only seems to target those who can target others.
Edit- this is just my spur of the moment opinion plz don’t roast me
Helluva Boss has 2 episodes out now :)
